Not yet, many people are waiting for PPR to drop next week by God grace.

Papa should be planning for his trip now lol

Hi,
Please I received BVL for my father inlaw's visitor's since friday last week. And uptil now I have not received his PPR.

His status tracker shows his visa has been issued but no PPR yet.

Please have you received PPR? And how long after your BVL?

I explained that he has been working and attached one of his payslips with his bank statement.
For home ties I got study leave from my work place and I'm leaving my kids and husband .COR is Nigeria. Decision was gotten within 20days

Was the actual source of the funds explained in the SOP? If the fund is from his business or job, I guess his payslips/bank statement/business evidence/receipt should suffice. If it's from the sale of property, the document/receipt/contract agreement. Alternatively, keep the funds for four-six months to build the opening balance and give VO assurance.

For the home ties, a number of people here have addressed that, you can read through the threads. Which country of residence (COR) is the visa officer referring to? Nigeria? or are you based outside Nigeria like me?

Also, how long did it take you to get a decision if you don't mind? Thanks
Is his salary commensurate with the lump sum? For example. Someone can not be earning 200k monthly nd u claim d person dash u 20m. It must have taken him 10yrs to save it. Which is very unrealistic. That’s just an example!

There is nothing abnormal there. Sometimes ppl get medical request, Request to submit passport and eligibility will Still be saying in progress.

Besides it's just 3 weeks and still within time frame for visa application processing. So chill.

Try with dorm account dollar card or virtual dollar cards
I appreciate your response, the difference between the official rate and paying with dollar card is pretty high..Isn’t there other means that will make the conversion fair.

Insufficient establishment in COR.

Did you mention any after-plans in your SOA? Did you say you would go back to your COR or return to Nigeria?

Any work ties?

Maybe you applied for a visitor visa instead of a study permit. Was the application fee 100 cdn (excluding biometrics)? Does your application number start with “V”? If the answer to these questions is yes, you applied for a visitor visa. You must submit a study permit application to study in Canada.

Hello good people, I sent my passport and other required documents through courier to VFS Lagos. And I got a delivery notification from DHL on Tuesday but up till now(Friday) I haven't received any confirmation from VFS that they have received it. What can I do?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Lily89: 2:55am On May 06, 2023
Hello my fellow nairalanders. Please my brother got his student visa application approved for January 2024 school start. But the letter of his validity states August 2023 (this is because his old passport that he used to apply for visa is expiring in August 2023). He finally got his new passport and sent it to IRCC when they sent the passport request email.

My question is, since he now has his new passport and his program doesn't start until January 2024, can he apply to extend his study permit from outside Canada? Because it doesn't make sense him going to Canada before August 2023, knowing that he cant even work or do anything before his school resumes.

Please can someone advise me?
