U are also stuck in 1991.... lack of support from parents is not what turns pple into prostitutés...its greed and desire for easy money.....u are one of those giving excuses for these women...continue..... if yahoo boys and armed robbers tell u same thing...u will not gree
.prostitutioń is not a trade of suffering girls who dont have choice....enter street make u know wetin dey happen

How old are you? Either you are still very young or lack comprehensive skill.

Girls goes into prostitution because of needs, which is mostly caused by inadequacy or poverty. It later becomes habit or greed when they have made it big in their trade and still continue. Example is an escort who worth millions but still selling her body and pride for more money.

I will say it again, girls from rich homes hardly engage in hookup, their parents, siblings and other rich uncles get them whatever they want on a platter of gold. They may get few boyfriends but will never sleep around for money. The highest thing a typical Nigerian prostitution can buy is high end I-phone or car, which can be easily acquire by rich kids through their parents or relatives, so tell me why would such Girls have to sell their body for money?

If you disagreed with this, then search within your environment and tell us example of rich men(not average civil servants) kids who are into prostitution.

Didn't insult you, was just surprised you can't comprehend my posts.

Like I said before, those big Olosho following senators to Dubai are mostly local hookup girls charging 2k short time few years back. Ask guys on the street, especially those that carry olosho very well, they will tell you how they upgrade from being local to international. Besides, a hookup girl that charge 5k in Ibadan can connect with her olosho friends in high brow area in Lagos or Abuja and be charging 100k per night, that is how these girls operate.

As for the girls on 350k salary and still doing hookup, these are kind of lies and misconceptions we do tell ourselves. Agreed they can sleep with their bosses or rich clients in form of casual dating for materials gains but not as per charge as real hookup girls. Besides, most of the job paying such salary are mostly giving to intelligent career focusing women who has something upstairs to contribute than their pussy.

As for those private university students you mentioned, most of them are the ones sponsoring themselves. I know many of them at Leed city University. If you want to know this, pick one of them and ask her deep emotional questions while on the bed, she will open up for you.

Like you've rightly said, it is a waste of time arguing with an old man like me because, you will never had such experience and real life situations to withstand or back it up.

U cannot tell pple not to buy advertised product especially when its technically an essential need.....thats what advertising does..it creates crave....thats why drug users are not arrested but the sellers....the users are victims

.. if a new beverage caled iyatolá cola hit the market...the need to quench thirst and fill sugar craving will make pple buy...did they ask for iyatolá cola?...no.. but availability created crave and need......

Iyatola cola cannot come and blame her buyers for buying what she introduced to the market

Madam...sex is an urge...pple will still fvck weda its for sale or not....those making it forsale are the issue

Lovely analysis.

Most girls are not ready to learna skill or trade. The tailor two streets away from my street, have over 7 apprentices, 2 are baby mama, 3 are in the street, one is contemplating on going street, the last one seems to be undecided.

And you'll find out that the owner of the shop (oga tailor) is probably a retired runs girl that still has some old customers she calls up when business isnt going well.

During my 20’s, which was in the wild and wooly ‘70s, casual sex and one night stands were quite common. The Pill made it possible. We didn’t call it “hooking up” back then. We merely went out to bars and clubs, drank, and met people with whom to flirt and then have no-strings-attached sex. Sometimes we smoked weed and then had no-strings-attached sex. It was fun and meaningless. No one thought anything of it.

But something happened. The 1970s turned into the 1980s and the AIDS epidemic arrived, along with lesser threats of Herpes and Genital Warts (HPV). Chlamydia and Gonorrhea flourished. Fear of unplanned pregnancy turned into fear of STDs. It made us a little bit more careful, but the bacchanalia continued.

About the time I turned 26, I looked in the mirror one day and asked myself why I was doing it. I questioned my self-respect and found it lacking. I made the decision at that moment to stop going out to bars to get drunk and to stop having one night stands.

So yes, I would say that there is something like that happened in our with hook-up culture. It’s tawdry. It’s not stupid or sinful or sexist or manipulative, it’s merely tawdry.

Whatever. Forwarded as received via DM!

The person that sent you this message was in her 20s in the 70s...meaning she was born in the 50s, and is probably in her 70s now. Interesting.

By the way, that her story doesn't seem like it happened in Nigeria.

You're very accurate. I'm amazed when i see some girls in their 20s i know are into runs calling themselves olosho on whatsapp statuses and laughing about it...they're not ashamed about it anymore. Theyre very open.

They love it...they love every bit of it, from hanging with Yahoo boys and older men that spend lazishly on them, to have wild sex with these men.

Let's tag it as a trend.

We must be careful not to make it a culture.

Poverty.
The day I realise one of the girls i respected so much and held in high regards was into hook up i was broken for almost a month, asked her why she was doing that and she told me she has been out of job for a while so she needed money for upkeep.

That's just an excuse. Is she the first girl to be out of job? She did it cos she probably was already doing it before she got that job, and was probably doing it on the side when she had the job...i know female bankers that are into hookup. It is not always about poverty...it is most times because the girl is lazy.

The guy you quoted is right, 98% of them started prostitute as a result of poverty or lack of supports from their parents.

This later turn to habit they find difficult to stop, because they are getting huge easy money from it. Most of the girls you see charging 100k per night started with 2k per night.

You write really good and I like the way you apportioned the blames accordingly and evenly on both genders without being bias but in addition, I don’t really blame these hook-up girls and I wouldn’t advise them to stop. Who go carry overused p*ssy put for house? smiley
I always say this to ladies, when we tell you not to ‘useless’ yourselves, we are not saying it out of jealousy or insecurity, we do it to save you; it’s for your own good.
I blame the men simps who lack the confidence to get a lady without breaking the banks; men whose only ways of getting the ladies they love is through spending money and of course, I blame this menace plaguing our society today on the easy proliferation of yahoo and other quick money-making schemes. Would you believe if someone had told you 10 years ago that there would come a time when a man would be spending as much as 500k naira just to have s*x? These simps and other retired oloshos (yeyebrities) make these small girls think that money is easy to come by thereby making them see hoeing around as a sure source of revenue generation.
Again, I won’t advise anyone to stop, if it’s hookup that’s giving you immense joy and money, pls don’t stop, you’re doing well my dear; we will patronize and use you then settle for decent ladies. It’s a win win cool

My point is, the men here criticising hookup ladies should focus on the men who patronise this ladies, not trade itself. The ladies aren't fvcking themselves nor paying ghosts to fvck these ladies. Men like you are the ones paying whether she has a disease or not.

Blaming ladies without blaming the men patronising them comes across as envy. It's not the ladies fault that pussy commands a higher price in the sexual market than pen!s.

So poverty and lack of jobs are the major cause fueling the insatiable greed in some girls to open their legs anytime, provided that the theme; money for hand, back for ground

Imagine an oil rich country like Nigeria paying her citizens above 18yrs 250k for monthly upkeep, do you think that hookup will be thriving?

Very well said. Somehow, girls have taken away the stigma from it. And this makes it easy for them to do it. Maybe the stigma was removed when we started calling it 'hook up' instead of 'prostitution'!

In the 90's, prostitution was a thing of shame, but done due to extreme poverty. Prostitutes' of that era were not having a lot of cash.

But now it's no longer a thing of shame, possibly because the rewards are greater now. Since there is so much money to be made from it, cleanish girls that wouldn't have been prostitutes in the 80's and 90's are now doing it.

Also, you'll notice that it has also increased because there seems to be more money in the hands of guys to throw at them, which makes the money relatively easy and then draws more girls in. And my theory on why easy money is circulating is because of return to democracy 9there are lots of political jobbers, associates etc all milking the country dry, yahoo, yahoo, drug money etc. In the millitary era, money wasn't flowing as easily as it is now.

A former colleague of mine who was once a Commissioner in Edo state told me that the Governor was having a party in Benin once and they invited a lot of young girls from Uniben and Igbinedion University and they were sharing N20k to all the male attendees for 'Bleep' money. this was like 2007 o! So N20k then is like N100k or N200k now.

So this easy money means big boys in lagos can throw N50k at ordinary fine girls and even up to N200k at really high class sophisticated girls at a go. Some high class girls even get houses, cars, trips, gadgets etc from guys. So how won't everyone want a piece of that action. Take Nollywood females as an example!!
