Hello. It has been a while on this thread. Good afternoon y'all. I feel like a stranger here. Some of my chat mates here should be done with MBBS, some should be in clinicals, preclinicals etc. I wish you all the best.

All these ranges are for catchment area and those who did the school's Predegree.
Mind you, the cut off for MBBS this year was 280 (merit), 270 (ELDS) and 250 (catchment).
The 243 am seeing up there is for Matric student if I may hazard a guess.
.
PS: am a 100 level medical student in the said institution

Yes. If u're from the North.

Even when u're from other region, you still stand a good chance if the competition from your state is not stiff.

You stand a chance there. UDUSOK consider only Jamb score

By the way, what State are you from?

Being able to remember what you've read is a challenge many medics face.

I've talked about my memory strategy and how I'm able to remember what I've studied.

(1). What was your JAMB score

(2) What did you initially put in your JAMB form because you cannot do JAMB without choosing a course.

(3) What course do you have a passion for?.

299 is high. Do not think there are that many 300s in this year's JAMB. If you are from a state in SW and the university does PUTME, a good score can give you a chance with catchment.

Anyway, i have always had a bias for Pharmacy especially for females if you are a female.

Admission into Medical schools in SW especially into UI, OAU and Unilag is very competitive. Edo does not have any catchment in any SW University. All SW Universities have all the SW states as catchment. If you miss Merit cutoff, you only stand a chance if you are from one of the ELDS states and Edo is not among the ELDS. When going for a competitive course, it is always better to choose the Federal university in your state. That is why the FG has put a Federal University in every state.

I want to believe you are based in Lagos. Most Lagos based people do not always want to leave Lagos to Universities outside Lagos and i always wonder why.

Anyway, Pharmacy is a good course.

Btw, iam from Edo state. My daughter scored 299 for Medicine. I chose Uniben for her because of catchment even though iam based in Lagos and she was born in Lagos.

Pls someone should help, my sister scored 231 and intends to study pharmacy in n Esut, Is there any chances of getting admitted pls?

I asked about this and "Dvd4" replied and said that because she is from Anambra State that her chances is high in COOU, but because their school fees is high we want to see if their might be a better option.

Question 1: Pls what about UNIBEN, how is her chances of getting admitted their to study pharmacy with 231, and how is their fees

Question 2: I know that this might sound stupid because her jamb score is low for competition in UNIZIK, but what can you say about that too, is there any possibility?
Thanks I really appreciate you all here always answering questions ❤️

Who told you 299 is not enough for medicine in federal university? if you can score 80 in uniben pume which is possible, you stand a very good chance of getting medicine.

He wants a SW university and iam sure it is Unilag that he wants. Unilag, UI and OAU are notorious for merging sessions which is what is responsible for their high cut-off marks.

Even without merging sef..
Their cut-off marks (UI, OAU, Unilag) has always been high, So juggling two academic session together is never the cause of the high cut-off..
And beside, UI has never for once merge.. only OAU and Unilag does.

UI normally cancel a session which causes a spillover to Unilag and OAU.
