You want to help him by rushing the divorce so he can travel with another person as a dependant?

I don't understand this your matter. You are the one dragging divorce, he should be the one rushing for divorce not you abi there is another thing to this matter.. e get kleg

Where did she say she is rushing? And if the relationship has broken down, she will be right to rush the divorce so she can move on with her life. Imagine if she finds the love of her life but cannot commit because she is still married to the guy.
How is she "dragging divorce"? You guys just form an opinion and spew it out as facts.

Kindly read and digest my post properly before quoting.

The OP was asking if there is anything she can do to facilitate the divorce process so that her ex can travel to the UK ad a dependant to another person.

She never mentioned she has seen another love of her life. My response was based on her post here.

In my opinion, I believe the ex should be the one looking for a means to speed up the divorce process and not her. That's my own opinion, yours may be different

From the OP's post

Thank you. I intend to start the divorce process asap but divorce in Nigeriq takes time the reason
I'm asking if there's anything else I need to do to enable him be with whoever he wants as a dependent.

If she wants a divorce, she can file one immediately, I am not against that

Good afternoon House.
please I need the best of advice/ideas to solving this problem before someone does what he no suppose.
An ex patient or service user raised a sexual complaint against her previous carer since last year August and he has been suspended from work ever since. We first thought it would be over soon that its just to do investigation and come up with findings which will either proof guilt or innocence. But loo and behold up till now the issue is still on the table. The last action that sparked outrage was during one session he was asked some questions in which he mentioned hes schooling in a university, so they now went ahead to write the Uni to inform them hes under investigation so the uni asked him to stay away until he is cleared. I cant stomach this injustice anymore. Please how does someone fight this kind of battle. It took months for the details of the so called offence that led to safeguard was even known o. the police have been invited and they couldnt find any evidence of misbehavior. Yet these people are hell bent in destroying a mans life. the only thing was that the girl was given a lift and the discussion was going intimate and he claimed he stopped it and dropped her off at the hospital and went his way. that very week wahala started and up till now na on top of the matter we still dey. No work since last year and the small consolation traing hes trying to do they blocked it without any formal conviction. this BS has to stop.

Please any great advice will be welcomed
Thanks.
Do they know each other before? Work mate or friends?

Just in case there happened to be a recording, Who initiated the intimate discussions? The guy or lady?
The lady did but she was curtailed and dropped off. That was the narrative yet she still raised accusations knowing fully well that the law is on her side since she's vulnerable.

I am helping myself. I have always wanted to but just been dragging my feet as I was waiting for certain things to align. I don't have a problem with him doing it as he's the one who needs it the most now. Either way, we wil start the divorce process.

Thanks for your input.

Where was I making bants? Silly comment that should be directed at the OP who made the akata comment.

Besides people can only give detailed advice when in possession of more facts. You have given only one side of the story - your friend's. Why would his company be hell bent on destroying his life? is the patient taking up legal action against them? You mentioned that the police did not find any evidence of wrong doing so that should mean that the police investigation is over and his uni should be able to reinstate him on that basis.

So because she wants to "facilitate" the divorce means she is rushing ? You twisted her staements to suit your conclusions and that, in my opinion, is wrong.

If police didn't find anything after investigation and further injustice is still being meted out, go to court.

The problem now is the resources to go to court.

You seem to want to hear only what suits you. For safeguarding purposes, some organisations don't allow staff to give service user's a ride. It is meant to safeguard the staff from allegations such as this, also keeps the vulnerable patient from abuse and exploitation. Does your company expressly allow you do that?

You are in a fiduciary relationship with your patient and should never have entertained the initimate conversation in the first place. It is your word against her's at this point.

If you have the resources to hire a lawyer, then go ahead

You and your friend have to face up to facts. In the UK this is a serious allegation.
Even if cleared by a court this will be on his record forever.
No on in care agency is going to take a chance employing him ever.
Any school is not going to want him there with the possibility of him doing it again. If anything did happen they would be pulled to pieces.
Wether or not its true your friend is now poisoned by the accusation from any legal job that he gives his background detail.

He needs to stop talking and should instead seek legal advice. If he is not careful, he will end up in sex offenders list.

Let's start off on this note.
- is the suspension with pay or without pay. Expectedly, it's with pay.
- is there a letter of suspension. If so, did the letter mentioned... suspension in view of investigation towards disciplinary hearing ... If the letter includes statement similar to the italic, you would be under the ambit of labour matter. Then ACAS becomes your go-to for advice or to lodge complaint towards employment Tribunal.
If not, you might have to go the Court route on civil litigation. Going employment dispute might work best though.
bigtt76:
Just in case there happened to be a recording, Who initiated the intimate discussions? The guy or lady?
PS: Bigtt76 asked if there's a recording. Kindly answer this.
If you're unsure, you'll need to demand.
NB: it appears your friend has been opening his mouth too wide. In law, silence is golden. One does not go gara gara, especially the typical 9ja way.
