Taxis from the airport are always costlier. Civil servants don't use taxis. Nigerians have been begging their abroad returnees ab initio.

Maybe na you dey show yourself. In my case, only my family members go know say I dey around.

Possible for one to get a room for rent just for a month or two in lagos? Apart from a hotel, Just to jobhunt.

Truth of the matter is that you won't know how bad the living condition in Nigeria is until you travel to a first world country and come back a few years later...

When I look at married gate men and office cleaners who earn less than 50k, I wonder the miracle they do to feed their families everyday.

Person will leave house with almost 200k and come back with shallow pockets. It now takes a strong minded person not to be sharing money to financially challenged people around like father christmas.

If you're staying for up to 3weeks, be ready to spend at least a couple millions unless you give up your comfort and have the heart of stone to be able to overlook people's sufferings.

Things were a little better during Jonathan's era. People got overfed and were challenging the government. Buhari reduced the feeding of people by increasing price of petrol, cooking gas, food etc. The hunger in people didn't allow them to challenge his government. Now, the government in power have seen that increasing the poverty would decrease the rate of agitation as it's a well fed man that would think of protesting. Moreover, the less the masses see money, the more money is accrued by the rich and political class for power consolidation.
