Just dey play..
Regionalism is staring you right in the face.
The Eastern region has always been for either a truly united federation called Nigeria where federalism is practiced the way it is done in the US where we borrowed it or nothing at all. We cannot be practicing federalism but want to introduce conditions, in federalism there are no conditions, all the citizens are equal and must be treated equally.

Many countries all around the world has laws and constitutional provisions that protect the rights of indigenous people . Some examples of such are America, Indian, Canadian Australian and china to state the few. In china for instance if you buy a car or house made in your hometown you get it for cheaper than those whom are not indigenous of the state. Those law are important to ensure that indigenous people are recognised, respected and supported in their efforts to protect preserve culture language and heritage with their ways of life.

Tzar:
So, let us also start with the word ‘SHARIA’ in the constitution. Where does the word exist in our constitution? Or where are the tenets of Sharia permitted in the constitution? Are there states operating SHARIA? ? Yes!
However, does the constitution permit states to make laws within its scope ? YES! Is the Lagos HoA doing so? YES!
We keep deceiving ourselves that we operate a UNITARY and not a FEDERAL constitution. AFEDERATION presupposes different and varied components with slightly varied laws within an overseeing GRUND NORM. It never presumes a rigid uniform law governing the federating units with divergent predispositions.
All these ur argument has not shown where our constitution allows states to make discriminatory laws, one that classify citizens according to origin. I assure you, it will not fly in Nigeria. Our constitution already clearly forbids it.

The part of the constitution needs to be amended. Regionalism is coming back

1) Indian, Canadian, Australian and America are not countries, on the other hand, India, Canada, Australia and the USA are countries.
2) what do you mean by "indigenous" in the cases of the above countries?
3) you guys just like to quote these countries eventhough you don't know the first thing about them.

You are not answering my question: who are the indigenous people of the USA whom you are talking about ?
India is a special case and there are many things in India which should not be copied: Indians have a caste system which gives people value based on the lightness of their skin.
Let me ask an other question: who are the indigenous people of Lagos?

I show documents talking about our region hundreds of years ago written by eyewitnesses. This guy says only Igbo would look at such documents to know how the region looked like hundreds of years ago. Then he proceeds to tell his unsubstantiated fairytales which wasn't written down by any eyewitness...🤣
I really dislike fanatics like you, logic is not even an option to you. It is all about your dogma, your belief, facts just don't matter to you.

I don't have an unlimited time and talking to arrogant and disrespectful tribalists who would benefit from me giving them lectures is getting tiring. Let me help you understand reality: show me a document written by an eyewitness which mentions olofin !
History is not just a story people tell, it has to be backed by evidence.

Mr man go and sleep. Document written by eyes witness my foot. You are blind and insane. The documents must have been written by our great grandfathers that were illiterates as at time. I mentioned Ozobia from Anambra State, he knows of Oluwa and Igboologun village beside Snake Island. The Oluwa owns Ojo land. We have the Ojoras and other White Cap chiefs. They know their progenitors. Our Ijebu from After Ketu / mile12, from Ikorodu to Epe know our roots. The Eegun of Badagry up to Benin Republic know their root.

The council of Obas in Lagos State have nothing to do with your blindness. The legislation must become an edict.

You guys will kickstart the next civil war, and let me inform you that after that civil war, both Igbos and Yoruba and haussa whom are not residents of Lagos will need visas to enter.

History doesn't work like that, the ethnicity of the person writing the documents doesn't matter and since you clearly know nothing about history, let me explain to you that our region had been recieving European visitors right from the 1400's, those guys could write and wrote down their encounters with us. Their texts are still available to be read today. I provided some of those in the form of Precolonial maps and texts.

Even Dangote with huge investments, in trillions of naira, is not making an fuss about it. So far, it's only the chestbeating economic immigrants that have been unnecesarily perturbed.
But you do not want headquarters of oil companies doing business in Niger Delta but domiciled in Lagos to be relocated to Niger Delta? Ditto all churches with majority igbos but shepherd by Yoruba pastors to be limited to Yoruba members only. So also spare parts business. Importation should be limited to Yorubas only.

Our leaders are not serious. So myopic and self centered.

If we cannot tolerate one another, we should dissolve the Union and we go our separate ways. No need pretending or hating.

So many inherent contradictions militating the polity.

The problem is that Yoruba whom are migrants in Lagos can't pass such laws in Lagos without consequences.
You guys are migrants who claim to be indigenous. And this is very disturbing because many of you are not even born in Lagos nor even have roots in Lagos, your roots are in some southwestern state and you are claiming to be indigenous to Lagos and your argument is "Lagos is Yorubaland".
