They did not deny the connection but have their own version of history saying Oduduwa was an Ogiso prince since Ife people admit he was a stranger but their account can't be admitted by Yorubas because Oduduwa is a traditional deity name with many incarnations and that latest Oduduwa mentioned Nimrod as his father to his children and because Oranmiyan tried to go and revenge on where Oduduwa was expelled from and guess what?. He faced North and not the direction of Benin. He was prevented by the Bariba or Nupe from crossing the river obviously because they felt he planned to seize their land and he therefore settled there on the riverside area. That was the beginning of Oyo and Oranmiyan was the first Alaafin. Those are the reasons the Benin claim can't be admitted. Oduduwa must have been an Egyptian prince descended from Nimrod and there would have been some. He may also have been a descendant from any of the Nimrod dynasties in the middle East. The jury is out on that but the Egyptian option is more plausible because we speak a form of Kemitic Egyptian. Research and new inferences are continuing.

Also Benin would not say why the Edo language is limited to Benin city and can't be understood even in communities a few miles from the city.

I stopped reading from 1st paragraph. You twisted falsehood wrongly. The late Oba of Benin's book that generated controversy over historical believe of centuries said contrary to the centuries report that Benin came from Ife, he said it was Oduduwa that came from Benin. He said Oduduwa was a Benin Prince (son of Ogiso) who committed an offence and escaped to IFE. He mentioned his Benin name is Ekaladerhan. No Yoruba Oba or historian will ever accept that. Oodua is a Deity with over 400 deities that he worshipped.

There is no any historical record before the late Oba of Benin brought out his history. The Yorubas anywhere in the world can never accept that recent history because of so many mysteries surrounding Oduduwa and Ife.

Ever since the late Oba released the book, they populate social media platforms with it to the extent that if you search for Oduduwa, it is Ekaladerhan that would be brought for you. This is just history of about 10 or 11 years.

He said Oduduwa was not the first settler at Ife. He said he met the indigenous Ife people.

Thank God the late Oba of Benin wrote that book. The late Ooni of Ife dismissed the Oduduwa story as falsehood. Because late Ooni and Late Alaafin Oyo never agreed on anything. Journalists asked Alaafin about the Oba of Benin account of Oduduwa, late Alaafin Oyo dismissed it as falsehood and gave the same historical account like late Ooni of Ife. Some traditional rulers contributed to the discussion. It was then Obi of Onitsha spoke that Onitsha people may be the indigenous people Oba of Benin said Oduduwa met at Ife. That was how we got to know that indigenous Onitsha people migrated from Ife.

Late Oba of Benin's claim that Oduduwa was not the first settler at Ife left a PUZZLE for the historians to research and find out the indigenous IFE people Oduduwa met at Ife. Though in the heat of the discussion the OBI of Onitsha said the Onitsha people might be the indigenous IFE people that Oduduwa met at IFE, another King, the Olugbo of Ugboland (Ondo State) also claimed it was his people that Oduduwa met at Ife. Just recently, the Akran of Badagry told some Ghanaians that the Eegun people migrated from IFE to their present destinations, yet, nobody has confirmed the indigenous IFE people the late Oba referred to.

Thats because your mind is stereotyped. Whether Tinubu or Sanwo are not indigenes does not matter insofar they operate policies that protect us against non indigenes. They may not be the beneficiaries but we are and so we welcome it.

So what is the point of the law you want to implement? Do you agree with me if Tinubu or Sanwo can be Governor of Lagos as non indigenes that other non indigenes of Lagos can also contest for Governorship election in Lagos?

Do you also agree this new law should be applied to non indigenous people of Lagos State such as Oyo state, Osun state,Ekiti state, Ondo state, Ogun state?

Hope the law will protect big Yoruba churches so that non-Yorubas will no longer attend.

I hope the law will also prevent non-Yorubas from marrying Yorubas and vice versa.

I hope the law will also make sure that Yorubas will attends only Yorubas owned schools and hospitals vice versa.

I hope the law will also make sure that all the oil companies head offices relocate back to Nigerdelta, their operation base.

Hope the law will force Yorubas to start going to Europe, China and Japan to import spare parts for their cars

Hope the laws will also asked Zenith Bank, Access Bank, Fidelity Bank, standard chattered bank to employ more indigenes since they are not owned by Yorubas

The law should be all encompassing.
make the law also ask BAT not to appoint Igbos and igbos in elective positions in Lagos must resign

You actually think those greedy non lagos indigenes from Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti and Ondo will implement law that will forbid them from becoming Lagos Governor? those greedy miscreant from Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti and Ondo are more greedier than you think.

We are patiently watching them to implement it, they know what they are trying to do, it is not about the Igbos, it is about other non Yorubas

Why would a Nigerian law be against Nigerians? Instead of Foreigners from another country??

Canada have laws protecting aboriginal lands. These guys were in the land before the place was known as Canada. White Canadian man cannot do any how in those lands
