why do you want that.My BE was 230 when current price was talking about it as the man with oxygen,it needs to get to #500 by December. My rule is I don't sell at loss unless if I see the company is likely closing shop. That was why i didn't sell then .It is sugar I want @ #20 so I can move all the money sold from zenith before dividend @#25.50,BE was #18 plus.

I am moving back cash to the market because I see the government are toeing the right path.
Maybe townhall may actually be the John the baptist of naija

There are restrictions on the shares you can buy with Meristem Stockbrokers margin loans but with the Asset backed loan from Meristem Finance you can decide to invest the loan the way you want it, you can even use the loan for personal expenses

My small setup in Gtco with bearish head & should pattern, if it closed below #31.75 tomorrow on weekly timeframe will mark this wks 30% green as bulltrap so it will need to closed above it to continue the bullish trend!!

The sugar can do even 100 percent if this government continues with the right step but thr is no way cement can do 100 percent. I sold at 270.It could not cross that price for long because thr was a wadge of 4million plus at that price for long. The motive of the constant offer /unit at that price was what I don’t know. BE was #150 plus 3 years dividend (16,20,20)

Earning growth of Dangote cement is static, more than 90% of earnings are paid out as dividends, there was a year when the dividend paid was more than the earnings

Zenith was around #66,UBA #42, FBN #45, dansugar #60, Wema bank #15 in 2008. I bought at those prices. If FUGAZ didn't reach #100 I am not selling anything
That was the craziest moment ever on NSE. May those times return. If they do, I am sure a lot of us here will not be caught off guard again.

Good analysis!
GTCO potentially can rally to 39. The fainthearted investors (or traders) taking profits may cause price to dip between 29 - 30, creating more opportunities. How the stock price close in June is very important.

I know we have a lot of traders on NSEMPA who don't consider the fundamentals and the business behind the stock

If you have Unity Bank, you need to have a rethink. The bank had negative shareholders fund of over N100 billion about 2 years ago

The bank enjoyed certain privileges in the past, I am not sure if the new Sheriff in town and the new CBN governor will continue with this subsidy.

My opinion though

As an Investor, I still cannot bring myself to have a full grasp of the Nigerian stock market. For this I give maximum respect to the players in this market. For now I stick to my trusted Europe/UK/US stock market, and keep learning from players here to see if the potential here equates to those in the west

...over 95% of this platform users are traders in the real sense of it, largely due to poor economic policies and lack of trust on effectiveness of Nigeria companies.

- Investors invest for long-term
- Traders can be short-term (Day/Swing traders), long-term (position traders)

No big deal being a trader, they create the liquidity and activities in the market.

Understanding the business behind the stock prevents one from buying dead stocks that one won't be able to sell for decades.

I shared my opinion about unity Bank this morning because of someone on this platform who asked for my opinion late last that he wanted to invest N10 million on Unity Bank shares

My Ogas, which App do you use for buy stocks? I am a newbie and I want to start investing.

I am also interested in being directed to resources I can read or listen to that will improve my economy and investment knowledge.

Thank you.

I appreciate your view, Oga Emma, and I fully acknowledge the importance of understanding the underlying business of a stock. However, I believe it's also essential to appreciate the different strategies that people use to generate profits in the stock market.

In my experience, proficient traders can realise substantial profits even from "dead stocks." without necessarily delving into the business intricacies behind each stock. Their focus, instead, is often on price, volume, and market sentiment. Now, where Fundamental Analysis shines is in helping establish the intrinsic value of a stock, which can help maximise returns in the long term.

I will not say much on Unity Bank, but as a trader, I see opportunity if price can dip a bit.
