Hello House, please I need your help. I Lost my mind after a getting a refusal note from IRCC,I want to know if I should continue on this canada study or look Into the European region. I am a first time applicant and I am sponsoring myself.

1)Study permit submitted on the 5th of May
2)Biometrics on the 12th of May
3)Upfront medicals on the 11th of May.
IRCC requested I do a sputum test on the 28th of May, test was concluded on the 2nd of June.
Expected date for sputum test is first week of August(I have done Sputum test in two different hospitals and they came out nagtive, no trace of MTB. I am expecting a genexpert result on my Monday to also know from a military hospital in Port Harcourt.

On the 15th of June I got a refusal letter from IRCC based on financial issues.
Tuition deposit paid 500CAD
My tuition fee is 49kCAD for two years.
I submitted an approved 50kUSD from Mpower.
I submitted a stamped #7m bank statement of my own account from Access bank (there was progression it wasn't a paid POF).
Is this funds not OK for this study?

Now I would like to reapply when my gcms note comes in July to meet up with September.

I work in my dad's firm, I do not receive salary, I manage his business, I also own my own registered business.

Document I submitted showing proof of work;

My ID card.
My Company CAC document.
Letter of Introduction showing my own business annual return.
Study leave with pay, using my dad's business letter head.

I have thought of doing this if I am to reapply;
I intend bringing in my dad business fully into the application, I didn't give more details on it before cause he wasn't my main sponsor.
I want to do a valuation on his two property and include that he sold a property to raise #10m which will be in his account (he has a total debit and total credit of over #200m but closing balance isn't upto 4m but we can get it to 10m). Then include his company profile and CAC document (but no active) business invoice, complimentary card and pictures of work place and family pictures. Will these fly?
Will they request for tax documents?

Please house advice me on how to go about this?

From this GCMS notes, I think you also applied for accompanying spouse and/or children and/or your course of study is not one year: if all or either of those is true, your POF is not enough at all.

Did you make provisions for enough miscellaneous expenses (3rd refusal reason)?

Did you calculate your living expenses based on the duration of your program including those of accompanying spouse and/or children( 2nd refusal reason)

Failure to address the 3rd and 2nd refusal reasons gave birth to the 1st refusal reason.

This is my thought and not a professional advice. It may be incorrect.

No I am single applicant, None of my family is going with me.
Provision for enough micellaneous for 2nd refusal, how do you mean? I haven't applied for a second time, that's why I am asking if there's any document that I will need to provide to avoid a second refusal, I didn't make provision for a first refusal either.

I calculated my POF based on duration of my study program, my study program is 2 years(18months actually)

Your GCMS notes reads three refusal reasons. I didn't mean you have applied twice or more time.

Even though you applied without accompanying spouse and/or children, your POF is not still enough.

Using the old rate of CAD 1/345, your 7m will only be equivalent to approximately $20,000. This is what you need for living expenses for the two years. Where is the money for miscellaneous expenses-- at least $3,000?

Meanwhile, if you should reapply, you will do well to take into account new rate of $1/485. Your 7m would only be equivalent to approximately $14,400 and not $20,000 again.

Also, you will do well to explain your motivation for going for MPOWER loan to the tune of such amount-- how the program is so important that it can be a reasonable investment etc.

Not true. I collected in person yesterday

How did you submit your passport in person? It says I need appointment online but I can't seem to find any dates in June and July.

Thank you very much, I appreciate
Do you think it's ideal to include my dad's Property documents and business as the secondary sponsor, using his bank statement with a closing balance of 10m while I still maintain the 7m in my account, Cause I can't put in the 10m in my account it will be easier to explain the lump sum in his account, but now my dad's business was registered in 2005 and its been inactive on the CAC website and no tax clearance.
Will they need tax clearance?

Omo. Mans tired and confused about this sudden change in exchange rate
My own issue now is that
In those IMM forms I filled.. I stated I had 35kcad available for the period of my studies and my sponsor acc balance was about 38kcad with the old rate oh before june 15th but now with the new rate, my sponsor 38kcad has turn to 28kcad, it won't longer tally with the information I filled on the IMM form..
I have paid almost my full first year tuition deposit of almost 12kcad remaining 6kcad balance , so if IRCC use the new rate the 28kcad would be enough? As my sponsor has properties and means to pay my 2nd year schoolfee and expenses..
Accessed:

Well, No one is sure about what IRCC will do concerning POF and the new rates. But I shudder to think that our steep fall in naira could very well be interpreted as a 'Drastic Change'. Unfortunately, as @Showyoung guessed, I'm afraid they may decide to adopt the rate as at day of review over application date which appears logical although unfair to applicants who apparently based their projections on the old rates.

Indeed, it will be inhuman to reject applications made before June 14th solely on the basis of insufficiency of the POF (at the new rate) especially if opportunity is not given for an updated statement to atleast match the current rate. Maybe, we can be proactive and start sending updated statements to match new rates via webform? grin Heavy lumpsum wahala!

I reckon that the fair thing to do is to treat applications before June 14th based on the old rates and the current applications on the new rates. Hopefully, they reason along this line!

Another issue is the wide variation in the daily rates. It was N485 to 1 CAD on the 15th, then N451 to 1 CAD on the 16th. Maybe an average over a period is what they will adopt if the range continues to be this wide.

Should the Cousera Course be paid or a free course is fine, what if someone already started a certification in Nigeria (Say CIPM) but has not finished, will this suffice?
It can be a free course. Let her ensure she completes so as to get the certificate. Also, a running program (CIPM in this case) can also work so far she can show some documentary evidence of being enrolled in the program. This will show the VO that the individual is committed to this new career path and is taking tangible steps towards achieving it.

Doesn’t matter, but if he has family here that’s enough for home ties these aren’t very necessary

Who will give you study permit for a 4months course?

That's not feasible.

To be qualified for a study permit, your duration of study should be 6months and above.

No, he doesn't have any family member in Nigeria, they are all abroad. That is why he used his grandmother as home tie and the house property is his main proof of home tie though he started that he is returning to Nigeria to take care of his sick grandmother and he has care givers who will care for his sick grandmother while he is away.
Is it essential to submit the document?

Greetings sir

I would like to share it with you,if you don't mind

Get a gift deed of property from my Dad, one plot of land, do a valuation for it, prepare a deed of conveyance for it for the document before and after it was sold. Then send #12m to my account.
Then also upload documents showing the relationship I have with the person(my Dad) documents such as family pictures,

His CAC business document(without tax clearance)

My photograph with him and drivers licence.

With that I should have a total sum of #17m which is 36,000 CAD

What do you think?

Then I will explain to them why I am using Mpower loan
