So how did he handle the situation. What did he do to better their lives?

Nothing.

Because he was no longer President when the insurgency started.

I don't think the problem is poverty and unemployment
It's more of religious issue, have you been to ebonyi, osun, ekiti, etc? All these state are extremely poor......

But they embrace education, the north need to learn

Truth is you hardly see a Christian terrorist... Whatever that means.....
Hmmmm, you had to mention two western states to pass your message?

Saying that OBJ was one of the best presidents to jave led Nigeria is a testament of how deranged Nigeria is and how lacking they become in d sphere of good leadership.
For d record, everything bad that we see in todays democracy and leadershio inNigeria was a brainchild of OBJ.
Rigging, 3rd term agenda, using EFCC, using d court, first time smaller number became lager than bigger number (as seen in ekiti), first time someone was disqualified from congestion in a governorship election because according to him e get k-leg (as in d case of Amechi), the first time a governor was kidnapped etc.
So what do we see today that OBJ never taught us?

rubbish

they want a better life by kidnapping and forcefully marring off other people children

what type of self-deceit is that

islam extremism is a huge security rist to the entire world, world leaders should stop sugarcoating it

is it also want to better life that make islamic immigrant to start murdering their host in France

Islam extremism is a treat to our planet give them the entire country like they have in Iran they will still kill and cry

they are they hell we all imagine exist after death

Islam is a renegade cult bereft of any useful ideas or hope to the unfortunate human doomed enough to be zombified by its nonsensical lies.

Just like viruses, they only multiply by sexually reproducing condemned clones of those who are forced to share the hell-worthy lies called beliefs. The capacity to peacefully sit down and convince anyone to rationally believe that nonsense is evidently not there. So like the virus...they must kill the host and reproduce like dirty vermin.

France is too tame for my liking. But this is why Christianity has a serene civilizing effect.

Obasanjo is like darkness and light. This is a man that chose a Niger Deltan, GEJ, to succeed him, ignoring all the Igbo candidates but has now turned to promote Peter Obi

Which Igbo candidates did Obasanjo ignore in favour of Jonathan?

Which year did Obasanjo choose Jonathan to succeed him?

Is it in this nigeria or another country?

Meaning the Niger Deltan has less rights than an Igbo to be president?

Does this even make sense to you the writer. Ignoring all the Igbo candidates and .. So NDeltans are less competent by birth? Anyways, it takes a certain level of education to be able to quantitatively analysis an idea without necessarily having to buy into it. Enjoy your weekend

Obasanjo is so BEST that he received the Instruments of Surrender from Colonel Phillip Effiong on behalf of Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu who had abandoned his hunger ravaged, hapless and unfortunate folks and fled with his tails between his legs to Ivory Coast.

My friend shut up, wc Ekiti is extremely poor. They may lack federal and private investment but poor is not true.

How many out of sch children did u c in ekiti, how many beggars n homeless people did u meet from ekiti. Ekiti is not a wealthy zone for real, but they still fare better than many states. They don't lack the basic needs

Far better than many northern state doesn't mean they're okay.

Were they not the same that sold their vote on credit?

I've lived in ijero, ado, efon, and in oye ekiti (fuoye)

So yes they're poor

So what did you do about it and how did you improve the situation of things when you were the president.

All you do now is to condemn other presidents as if you did well when you dey there.

The other time it was the governors that want 3rd term for you now it is only you that knew about Boko Haram reasons for fighting trying to blame GEJ

It's amazing how our leaders leave office and become fountains of wisdom and ideas. As if they were never part of the problem, or were never in a position to correct the issues they're now speaking about today.
Won't be surprised if Buhari starts giving advice tomorrow on how to tackle insurgency/terrorism in Nigeria

Excerpt from a quote from Tinubu in 2017.

“Somebody who’s writing a letter these days, a letter of politics. As if they’ve never been there before”

Naxo I dey watch IBB the other day dey shake head… dem go dey form wisdom.

Nope, but why did you omit states from the eastern part of the country?
I am sure we have a lot of poor states in the south east and south south.

I met with their representatives and found out that they needed nothing but a better life for themselves. Can we blame them for wanting a better life for themselves?
Just like all the leaders beginning with him to the last one who left, he farted out their grievance and went to sleep. Why won’t evil continue unabated when the government doesn’t care?

Boko Haram wants sharia criminal laws, not just sharia laws that are recognised by the Constitution.
The leaders of the 12 far northern Nigeria states adopted sharia criminal laws between 1999-2001, before Boko Haram emerged.
In 2001, Muhammadu Buhari vowed before a large crowd of Muslims in Kaduna that he would not stop until Islamic sharia criminal laws are applied in all the states of Nigeria.

One of the earliest demands of Alhaji Tanko Mohammed appointed Chief Justice of Nigeria by president Buhari was for Islamic Sharia criminal laws be included in Nigeria's Constitution.

Islamic sharia criminal laws include stoning blasphemers to death; stoning women to death for adultery, cutting out the hands of thieves, etc.

Baba mi. My General.

My general, I didn't know you let boko haram bully you into sharia law. Maybe, your daughter didn't take notes well. You didn't approve that useless Saudi Arabian law in Nigeria, they just took it and use their tribe to bully you. Tell your daughter to go and clean that misunderstood information up. We all saw when you objected then, and watched when those people with their govs and community leaders, strong arm you. Don't take responsibility for that trash, because we saw them putting pressure then.
