It seems those who are fanatics of FA have this perception that those who believe in SA are monkey hunters.
As someone who believes that SA plays 70% role in Nigeria Stock Exchange, I used to furnish this forum with SA based forecasts of price movements but had to beat a retreat when it started being perceived as M. Hunting.

But on a serious note why did you buy Afromedia, Omatek, Deap Capital and others. They are not liquid, they are not making profit not paying dividends for about 10 years.

I guess you bought them based on sentimental analysis

Monkey hunting thrives in a bull market, it is an opportunity for people trapped in dead stocks for ages to cash out and sell to uninformed newbies

Oh well!!
But you know those who have been very active here and mentioning Kobo stocks.

In as much as someone is not mentioning what favours you, the person has committed crime against you and your cohorts.

For your info, I have no single guilt in me, except you're feeling intimidated.
You guys have tried to intimidate me but to no avail, just know there's no amount of blackmail that I can allow to get to me.
Madam, normally I would ignore this but let me say something at this point. One of the greatest powers a human being can exhibit on earth is the ability to remain nonchalant in a situation like this. We need to learn to ignore somethings, particularly when they're not directed at us.

To be honest, you've already allowed this to get to you. It's obvious!

I don't know what's wrong with these so called ogas self!!

Had to tell one that I'll leave NSEMPA for them if that's what they wanted because they're the so called founders.....on the other hand, I just said to myself, they'll not be the reason for my leaving here.

At least I left their forum for them the same day I appeared there cos of the setup there and the accusations levied against my innocent self, even when they don't even know me at all.
Thank God for one or two people there who knew I can never do that. They even said I'm iya-tola or iyalaje or whatever.

The fact that I'm helpful here is a pain to them.

For your info and for the umpteenth time, I dont monkey hunt!!!
I have one or two people who could attest to this and who have seen my portfolio before.
I only try to help here and if you're not okay with it, I'll keep my efforts to myself, after all I'm not been paid shishi to post here, and when you make your profits, it's not like you give me anything either.

If you take a closer look, you'll see that he wasn't referring to you. Do you know why? You promote all stocks on NGX by giving daily market updates which include stocks like AIRTEL, TOTAL, SEPLAT, NESTLE etc. Is there anyone on this platform that can monkey hunt with any of the aforementioned stocks? I doubt it!

Please learn to stay calm when this happens again in the near future. Yes, it'll happen again because this one is not the first. Unfortunately, you've always handled it the same way!

Based on TA, a trader should have exited BUACEMENT long ago, like in February or March. Also, a trader who has been in the BUAFOODS trade for a long time should still hold, as there is no clear sell signal despite the stock being in the overbought region for quite a while. Neither stock is a good entry point at this time.

From FA perspective, BUACEMENT is very overvalued and is currently 65% above my estimated fair value. I have not yet calculated the fair value of BUAFOODS, but my guess is that it too has moved beyond its fair value.

One of our major weaknesses is the tendency of Nigerians to remain passive in the face of unfolding events. We withhold our voices until the final outcome is revealed, only to unleash our accusations when circumstances take an unfavourable turn. This sound much like a "pull-them-down syndrome!"

Why do you keep mute when price was rising only to start pointing accusing fingers when its going the other way?

If you perceived monkey hunt post, seize the opportunity to raise your concerns. By challenging their perspective, we invite a deeper understanding of the underlying reasons behind such a post. Through this process, we cultivate an environment conducive to knowledge, growth and collective improvement, even to those new to investment among us.

Anything beyond Nollywood is too stressful for their brains to process. And here you are analyzing stocks. I'm sure your IQ must be over 120. Please, relax and do your thing. The people who enjoy your commentary know what they benefit.

As a small observation, you should also mention the inherent risks in some of the stocks so that newbies like me can fully understand what we're getting into. Thanks. wink

I agree with the first part of your post. Most ladies (no diss intended) hardly engage in deep convos, not even the deeper side of the movies they watch, let alone the stock market. It's always hairs, phones, trends, gossips, etc. Kudos to Mercy.

As for the second part, Mercy has always put caveat to most of her posts. Newbies have always been warned on this thread to start their journey with due diligence. Maybe she's being attacked because of Oga Loco who is a self-proclaimed MH.

Oga Osita no be newbie sha

PS. I left Chams yesterday at 57k. Journey started all the way from 21k. I initially offloaded 1/3 at 28k and wanted leaving at 55k but didn't get the chance. I also mentioned it here when I entered this stock. Technically, since it tested 55k, left it and now passed it to 57k, it's OK to assume it will now move above 60k next week. But I'm happy to leave at 57k when the volumes were enough for me. Over 150% ROI is good enough for me.

A number of people who lost money to forex investments, digital agricultural Investments and other High Yield Investment Schemes are now rushing to the stock market because of the recent bull run.

It is necessary to let them know that there is no easy money to made anywhere, they need to get educated and informed.

If they must invest based on an influencer, they must follow with sense, get a second opinion and ask probing questions.

They need to be careful if their leader or influencer does not like to be questioned

I agree with you. I am a member of a club made up of people who mostly first met on social media. Almost 6 years later, the trust is still impeccable.

Even from this website (Nairaland), I have people I can trust with billions.

It is indeed unfortunate. It's OK to caution people but generalizations are not always correct.

Fundamental Analysis (FA) and Technical Analysis (TA) are two recognized schools of thought, with some peculiar leanings. It would be beautiful if an individual knows both. However, a lot of times, they don't necessarily yield same results if applied together in a decision to invest or not to.

Whilst TA (by extension our SA - sentimental analysis?) would be more favourable to 'traders', FA would be more favourable to long term investors. Both can give good returns.

I would think that any person following TA should also closely monitor the market to know when to enter or exit. Why I normally would caution 'newbies' on that. The health of the company itself is very important, when applying TA, otherwise na gamble you enter. Of course FA would do justice on that.

I am happy that 90 % of people here are traders. In this market,it's the traders that make stocks liquid not investors.Note this.

Those long term investors like pa Emma that buys their best valuable stocks go to sleep even for 10 years, they will hold a particular stock just to collect dividend. If not traders who will move your zenith from 18 to 31.Will you tell me it's long term investors that make it happen?

As a trader when I sell a stock at high price, the next is to fight for a pullback in order to trade same stock again which might take it to another high.

Pa Emma and street investor, you need to apologize for this.

The bone of contention is one Megamart247 quoted me , he said billionaires don't make noise.Instead of you capitalizing on that statement and fight me for noise making, you began to talk about kobo stocks and insurance stocks which is doing their best now.

Same turnaround in chams, unity bank, Ftn cocoa and other kobo stocks that are ralling now.Do you want their share price to remain at car park you wicked men?

One thing God will do because of your wickedness is I will sell my stocks at good profits and still invest in other future stocks that will improve in results.I am right now sighting International Breweries as one of them but none of you have opposed me now until it begins to move.It will happen in you people eyes how I will make 400% in that stock and by then greediness must have killed you guys who kept the good things in your pocket because of your selfish interest.

Loco will continue to mention stocks here and in your very eyes, they will work for us.It is only the greedy ones that can be trapped in chams, Japaul, unity bank, Ftn cocoa etc.Have they all not returned 100% to shareholders. If they pull back for another entry, is it a crime?

Finally, I see that Govt has decided to make the mining sector a growing one to contribute to our GDP.The volumes you are seeing in Japaul lately is to tell you the Q2 result is going to be the best of it's kind in this era.Just wait for the Q2 result and see if Japaul will not touch #1+ if not #2.

Why will the person who bought unity bank at 50kobo and now it is sold over #1 come here to blame people?Cant he sell it or wait for another rally if that is what he wants?

A stock you invested with 500k turned to #1m plus in a couple of days and you refuse to sell because someone said it will touch #3.Is this not greediness if not wickedness?

If bank stocks show more strength, unity bank will still go above 1.80 if you don't know.

Anybody who is able to raise NGN300k or more and is wise enough to consider the stocks market as a place to invest should not be seen as an easily-misled mind. "Newbies" is quite overrated here, especially because school fees is a must, regardless of how much of a guidance or education one receives. A newbie is one who is just initiated into a system, and on the contrary, the ones who are considered gullible have chosen not to be initiated into the system of trading/investing - rather, they hear that market indexes are rising, and they want to partake in the free goodies (such persons like to take advantage of ponzi, crypto, anything that sounds like money doubling), and should never be considered newbies because they will rush in and rush out whether they lose their funds or are lucky to double it.

Mcy56 has been dishing out live data (good summaries that can easily be permutated for a quick TA), and those of us who have been shut out of live data by the likes of Meristem have been able to follow through price actions without efforts. Please do not feel attacked - everyone whom you think is attacking you probably once praised you in the past for your selflessness here.

It is not a bad move to trade stocks either in combination with investing, or as the only goal for being in the market. This forum has helped many of us learn FA either by piintinh us in the directions of resources for learning, or by analyses by the selfless fellows. BullBearMkt and FxUser also did a great job introducing TA (2016, thereabouts) and encouraging members to learn. I personally think that people choose to benefit from capital gains, sometimes as added risks, not just because they are not informed. A good trader makes a kill of every milking cow (fundamentally sound or not) just as an investor strikes bargains where value lies.

With the law of diminishing returns still valid, dividends hunting is just a phase in NGX. >10% dividend yield is like blood money in most economies, and I think it is okay to encourage people to learn how to identify opportunities. Having invested in other markets, I know how difficult it is to identify value, or even worse, to identify opportunities (which usually lie in fundamentally unsound stocks). Trends in the world are moving at a fast pace that nobody wants to be left behind. If people are working 3 jobs just to amass enough for the lives of their dreams, why would hunting in the market be offensive? If Amazon now retails raw food, one has no issues raising funds through hunting (the NSEMPA holier-than -thou way of describing trading), as the CEO of their portfolio. Getting too comfortable with dividends might be risky in itself. Both growth and value are essential for success in any asset class venture.

The beautiful things the stock market brings to well-informed are: VALUE or GROWTH or BOTH.
-FA alone can give you value
-TA alone can give you growth
-Combination of FA & TA gives both.

It's until we understand the role each play that's when we'll appreciate each other.
