You can mention other stocks maybe the type that suit them but for me, Kobo stocks have come to stay and will continue in as much as there
is financial improvements and turnaround in the kobo companies.

For leaving this forum, not me again. I will stand to resist them.

I was banned yesterday after the challenges of words, maybe the moderators checked and found me not guilty and restored me back to the forum.

We must stand now to separate investors and traders from having access at same platform.Nobody will agree with each other unless there is a common interest.

Pls let's stay and do our very best here.It is only God who knows us and can reward.
If I am here to deceive anyone including the newbies, it will not be well with me.When I point out a stock, you check it and carry your own assignment on it Before buying.

I am a trader and may not be there when people will start enjoying the stock I pointed. It has happened to me severally.I can't come and say the stock I pointed is bad tomorrow because I sold except the financials which I depend on fails.I put much effort to comment on a stock I have or want to buy than the ones I have sold. When opportunities present itself again on the sold stock,i will come back again and ride on it.

One love @ Mercy and all
One love bro!!

Maybe, if someone can open another thread for traders it will be good as you suggested.
So that whosever is on that thread will know it's for traders and know the risks and rewards involved in trading, while NSEMPA can strictly be for value investors.

Hhmmm. E Ku discussion o. grin

@ Loco, I must commend you for not allowing anyone to intimidate you to the extent of leaving this time around.

I thank all who spoke and shed more light on the issue on ground. You've all did well.

Oga BBM, you did well and also raised vital points which none of the opposition party addressed.
While these stocks were been mentioned, why did they not come out and be hammering on the need to stay away from Kobo stocks? Definitely a "Pull-down-Syndrome" mentality at play here!
"Let's watch them make mistakes so we can laugh them and tell them 'We told you so'" smiley

@deadlytruth, though myself and you are north and south in this forum, but I must say, you completely nailed the issue on the head, provided much indepth understanding on the Sentimental Analysis and indeed said it as it is! Thanks and kudos!!

So now, is Unity Bank the major bone of contention or Kobo stocks or insurance stocks?
Let's know pls.

I for one will try as much as possible to keep movement of such away from live updates if it will make you have peace of mind!! This is not the first, 2nd or 3rd time it's generating lots of heat here. Once Kobo stocks is mentioned, some people get aggro. grin
Hope this will solve part of the issue.... tongue
Thanks @ yMcy56.
I have always hammered here that as far as NSE is concerned, my over 20 year experience of participation has taught me that very long term investment outlook based entirely on fundamentals alone could end up a tragedy in life. Fundamental Analysis is like basing opinions and choices on reason and logic which though should be the ideal attitude of men but unfortunately in Nigeria, reason doesn't dictate to any reasonable extent our choice making. We have severally witnessed fundamentally sound stocks declining in price just immediately after declaring fantastic results with very mouthwatering dividends while a not too good result from a struggling company causes a 10% daily rise for days based on sentiments. Why this happens is something the hard core FA apostles have never been able to explain.

If you started from Treasury Bill or FGN bonds investment before trying the stock market, please identify yourself.

Such people tend to be better investors, they learn the trick faster, they understand the importance of investment income in compounding the portfolio and have better risk management.

My opinion though

My journey was the reverse. I started from capital market before extending to money market. I like money market because of its predictable nature and because sometimes I want some of my accrued gains in capital market (both local and foreign) to be that safe and secured.

You're right sir!
ZEE and quite a lot of them comes to mind.
I've always known your stand on this SA and I think Nigerian stocks thrives on FA and TA, but much more on SA. News moves stocks much more.
Ordinarily, if we look at the share price of some stocks, even fundamentally, they shouldn't be where they are but the truth is, news and sentiments has moved them at one point in time or the other.
See GEREGU for instance, the news of Afreximbank's 5% stake took it beyond 100 to 300!
Has it come back to 100 since then? NO!
All those who picked @100, 120, 150, 200 while it was been mentioned, did they regret picking till now? NO!
It's well.

...there is no point opening a new thread. FA & TA compliment each other. TA is "relatively still new" in Nigeria and might take some time before it is generally accepted. The recent disagreement, to me, indicate that we are talking "truth" to ourselves. We should rather be afraid of an environment where everyone is smiling to one another all the time!

That Oga Loco is a trader today amuses me! I remember when I first join this great platform, only @FXUSER was the TA on the platform, and I came up with another TA outlook. @locodemy was one of the opposition to my trading style not to talk about @Ihedioramma, @OakPearl, @pluto09, @DeRuggedProf, @OBAGADAFFI, @Emma and other wonderful FA guys I met on this platform. Gradually, I won many over and today, many of them are using TA terms and analysis to my surprise!

Even though I have physically not met anyone here, reading posts here alone always give me some joy! Many might not know, I am not based in Nigeria, been outside for more than 25 years now! This is the only platform I read, think, laugh and also get investment opportunities about Nigeria.

I appeal to everyone to allow peace a chance and let move forward.

If you feel someone's post is suspicious, let's ask questions in constructive manner for clarity right there. The answer given may likely bring out more questions and we will all learn. Personally, I believe majority posting here have the best interest of others and I have gained a lot reading from most people. Some we are email, telephone, Telegraph, Twitter etc friends today. grin

Once again, let everyone soft their tone and let's start providing next week, next month's opportunities.

Thank you all!

Just to understand the mis-understanding going on since yesterday.

Does it mean people should not post what they think is an opportunity again?

All stock posts must be fundamentally sound?

I still don't understand
grin grin grin grin grin

I don't think that is the case. I feel people are just concerned that people who advocated BUY for penny stocks don't talk when they sell. For newbies who doesn't know much, they might get carried away by the euphoria of daily rise and then get trapped.

So as dem market penny stocks, they can do well to give a range of prices people should jump out. Anyone who stays beyond the specified price range would know they got stuck due to greed.

By the way, loco picks do give good returns. Whoever wants to follow him just got to know when to run out. I followed loco enter Academy and RT Briscoe last year and I ran out when I got what I considered fair gain.

NSE IS SLOWING DOWN BUT TARGETING 64K
The last 2 weeks saw Nigerian Stock index creating bullish inside bar. Will the inside bar result into a pullback to previous support below 56k or it's merely price slowing down? Activities on the floor of NSE next week likely to determine the path the market will flow, but a critical look of the daily performances will be crutial for next week.

God bless you bro.
Watch out all the stocks I pointed on the past and now.I always tell you the rewards in anticipation I.e % to expect from them.
Watch all.Which one didn't give 100% or above from the day they started moving?
Again ,I don't point a stock that can't give 100% or above.

Living trust
Academy
Tripplesea
RT briscoe
Scoan
Thomas wyth
Japaul
Chams etc.
Which of them failed?
As a trader,I have made my profit and leave within the specific period and move on.I can't come and answer why the company is not doing well because it is none of my business to manage company.I only saw what I need and traded and leave.

Now I am telling you to watch out IB.
This one is bumper harvest 400%.Time will tell.

Watch out again for Japaul
Another 100% even more.

The efforts of bulls to carry the stock price of Unity Bank to test its 2018 high met strong opposition from the bears last week. How the stock close this month is very important if the stock will go for its 2018 high at 1.92. Unity bank value zone is between 0.58 and 0.86.

Technically, the stock price has recently shown price strength on high volume which indicates accumulation is ongoing. Price likely to re-test below 4.85. Smart monies will likely wait for between 4.20 - 4.50 First exit will likely be around 6.30.

Well,I will say IB has a very good support at #5.At the moment, serious consolidation is going on.Remember it has a free float issue at the exchange.About 11% is only available out of the 26B shares.
Next is breakout. It will not go straight to #10 or #20 in a straight line.
Q2 result will also give us the next clue on where the price is going.

You are doing a great work.We appreciate you

Before the posts you brought up, I have provided several other posts. My first post was on Mar 02, 2017.

Before the one you shown, I requested people to kindly sell to me UACN and Sir Ihead raised the question whether I am Uche? Ah! Ah!! Ah!!! I became frustrated when I couldn't get to buy the stock, hence asked if anyone is willing to sell? Wow! So, you people interpreted it to be Monkey hunting?

Yes. I became better overtime after attending several TA workshops and seminars around the world! You can see that I was heavy with using indicators that time. Even at that, I was making money. This platform provide me immense knowledge about FA and I am grateful for that!

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by stockbull(m): 2:46pm On Jun 24, 2023
Greetings to everyone here.

I'm writing this post to target newbies in this market.

First, it's good this thread has helped one or two people, and there are many good people that are willing to help others here.

If you ask me, I still read and learn from you guys here but I'm not that active in this market, hence don't have much to contribute.

However, one thing I'm very sure about, No one can maximize growth opportunities in long term by being a core fundamentalist or Technical analyst (FA or TA follower.), Not in this age anymore.

People who're relatively new in this game should swallow this bitter truth that in this age, the two are very important to grow their portfolios.

The competition between TA and FA is a global thing, and not here only.

FA is reasonable, while TA defies logics, and both works.

The FA apostles find it difficult to accept TA because it's not reasonable, and they believe company's performance precede the chart.

Also, FA was the only tool accessible in the past when the world has not become a one community.

TA apostles accept FA, and grow with the trend, hence compliment the two.

Whether you're a core FA or TA today, the two works to make money, and that's exactly what should be the focus.

Let me tell a short story that birthed this thread.

I was exposed to the US market some years back because I love the American culture.

I invested in the US stocks through my then broker, TDAmeritrade. While there was no robust investing platform then, I love being on the internet.

I was also one of the early birds of StockMarketNigeria (SMN) but was not that active, but read daily with my general moniker.

I visit and talk once in a while because I bought some IPOs days when companies flaunt their banners on Billboard on main federal roads then, we don't see that today anymore.

What I experienced with foreign market made me registered a new moniker 'Stockbull', and wanted to incorporate TA in the Nigerian market.

Whoooh, I was not giving a breeding space on SMN because the majority are Fundamentalists, TA isn't reasonable, NSE has not gone digital then.

I lost a lot of money too because my analog broker don't always buy stocks at my desired price.

TA was almost impossible on NSE unless you're a broker or have a big fund to influence.

I registered my moniker Stockbull again on Nairaland and NigerianBestForum, and opened this thread to outlive SMN.

I was trying my best, and many people started contributing their TA and FA knowledge here, and this thread and picks became their discussion on SMN.

Some of the FA apostles registered here to prove TA wrong here, but we were moving, and many of them grew with time to incorporate TA.

Some were not bold to admit it, but some did and TA followers grew to a level the FA guys were not able to challenge them.

My candid advice again,
Whether you're a core FA or TA today, the two works to make money, and that's exactly what should be the focus.
