Same here am even worried

Work visa or visiting visa ?
I know they have backlog but you absolutely can’t do anything about it, If you place a paid call to have your application reviewed it may be quickly decided by a very impatient case worker who is rushing for lunch break or cigarette break or the one that is rushing to go home and beat the rush hour.
So chill and pray.
I think the game of Luck plays a very vital role some are still waiting since May and some are sorted within the past week(s)
Fingers crossed.

Hello everyone!
Has anyone who did biometrics this month or earlier eventually got a decision?

For anyone who cares.
Biometrics 7th of June standard visitor family of 4

Decision was made on the 22nd of June but was emailed some minutes ago ( refused ) based on financial grounds even though there were a lot of evidence provided but oops if they want to refuse you they will find a reason to.
The application was for my aunt and her kids in which I invited them.
Home office and their palava.
Good luck to everyone.

If they have a license, they could use the Tier 5 route. Your brother would not have to provide any document, and the issuance is most times guaranteed. It's what promoters use for all these artists and skit makers.

If you have read so many refusal letters you will understand that some of them are very very lazy.
Hence why lawyers go to court to challenge them and they WIN as some Rule of law was not applied correctly whilst making the decision.

Check previous post a family standard visitor (joint application ) the ECO said the wife has applied for a different category and which was not true as they all applied in the same category is the ECO blind ? Can another category fee be the same as standard visitor ?

Haven’t you seen instances where they grant one spouse and refuse another ?
I know a lot of people glorify the ECOs as always very right but I am telling you majority are just recently trained and they make a big error they are classified as ECO but recently they employed a lot of glorified customer service workers who do the basic but when you all see the email you think it is the almighty ECO it is when they commit a big blunder the application is then passed to a more experienced ECO and they look into it.
If you go to Croydon for biometrics and where a lot of illegal immigrants go to sign in then you will understand better.

Views expressed is mine.
Thank you.

It was hers.
They are well traveled, valid USA visa Valid Canada Visa Valid Schengen visa.
She is into Poultry and Fish pond Business
Savings accounts, business accounts, domiciliary accounts, registration of business, CAC, tax clearance, hotel booking, cover letter, copy of my passport, utility bill, invoices, evidence of children in full time education, landed properties, assets and so much more bla bla bla.

But the ECO wasn’t satisfied.
Like I said earlier you can submit all you have and still get spanked and you can make a big mistake and still get granted.
Game of Luck do play important role.
I told them they can continue to enjoy their visas and leave U.K. alone for now.
Hope this helps.

Contacting the home office in the past used to be FREE.
Now you have to pay ?
Why is that ?
They basically DO NOT WANT YOU to contact them no matter what.
Contacting them means you are telling them to HURRY, if you want to have your decision made faster then PAY for it.
So with my above statement, is better you wait and let them decide in their own time or you keep calling to have it escalated, they record the number of times you call or send an email and that MAY or MAY NOT have your application decided quickly.
In some exceptional circumstances when you have waited for months let say beyond the standard 8weeks - 12weeks and your category shouldn’t be beyond that then you can call and ask for the progress but not when you are still within a reasonable 15 - 20 working days.
They are humans like us they do have bad days and happy days too.
It may not always be the case!
Take it Easy.

Thanks for your response. My Dad went for biometrics on the 14th of June for visit visa, we paid for priority and got a positive response on the 21st of June. My sister in law had her biometrics on the 15th, priority as well. We are yet to receive any updates. Will you advise I call as its past the 5 days stipulation.

Visa alert,
Sorry I haven’t posted it since. I applied for a 6months visit visa (first time) for my mum.
Biometrics: 5th June
Email to collect passport was on 9th of June. But she collected her passport on the 13th.

List of documents used to get visa
1. Introduction letter
2. Invitation letter
3. Marriage certificate (for my mum)
4. 6months uk bank statement from me - £7,900 (I have done so many transactions in the past o, a lot self)
5. 6months naira bank statement for my mum (N2,500,000)
6. Letter of consent form my dad
7. Letter of consent from my sisters attaching their work Id cards
8. Landed property document
9. Traders card for my mum
10. One month payslip from my office since it’s a new job I just started
11. Employment letter from my place of work
12. Pictures showing me and my mum, my dad and mum, with my siblings, her grandchildren in Nigeria, screenshots showing my conversations with my mum and pictures of her sewing clothes in her shop
13. Birth certificate (also had my mum do an affidavit because there was an error on her name in my birth certificate)
14. My brp, my passport, my travel record (Germany, US and Canada), but note that my mum hasn’t applied or gotten any country visa before.
15. My house tenancy agreement
16. My mums house tenancy agreement, receipts showing that I have been paying for the house and utility bills
17. Invoices from her business to show evidence of transfers made to her account

Her account was the major issue I was worried about because she had a lot of unexplained huge credit alert. But we provided invoices issued to her customers for those credit alert and I explained clearly in both her application and introduction letter.

It was a priority visa sha.

I spoke specifically on the scenarios you have painted and stand by my statement

Speaking from a place of knowledge, No ECO will look at any application in those scenarios you have mentioned

Hello

Again @thebolded is not true

I know you might be hurting due to your recent refusal,it doesn't mean you should water down that office.

Were you given admin rights? Use it

Do you have evidence of professional misconduct? Raise a complaint

Please don't water down that office .

There are ECOs that put blood and sweat at their job.

That's all..I'll stop now

Hi my friends, I'm planning for my mother-in-law to come visit I and my wife in the UK to assist us with the kids. I have read a lot on this platform, and I appreciate the sacrifice.

My question is:

1). If the first application ( 30 days visit) becomes successful and she comes over to the Uk and then travels bk to Nigeria after 30 days of visit, how long do you suggest she should stay in her next visit before the visa expires ?
Note: we really need her for child care reasons.

2). On expiration of the 6months visa, If we apply for 2 years visa, how long do you suggest she stays in the UK for the first visit and subsequent visits ?

I understand the visits shouldn't be long and frequent so as not to look like a settlement.

I will appreciate anyone who has done it before or seen it happen to help me out.

Cheers

get the visa first. I will be happy to give you examples of what’s worked for others then. On expiration of 6 months visa then u can get 2 yrs or 5 yrs or 10 yrs as some mentioned

Hi everyone
I applied for a 6 month visit visa jun 7th and paid for courier service return.
I just got an sms from DHL this morning that my passport is on its way to my house.

I am worried because I did not get any email from ukvi about the outcome of my aplication.

Anyone experienced this before?
