You just mentioned a Yoruba man not Yoruba men or people.

In case you don't know, the commissioner of water resources in Lagos is an Igbo man, even there are Igbos in Lagos State House of Assembly.

Was the position handed on a silver platter to the Igbo men in Lagos HOA? Didn't they work for it? Weren't they voted by people due to their contributions to society?

I don't know why y'all think elective positions are handed over to people just like that.

My estate chairman contested and he won. If he comes to contest for local government chairman he'll win. Do you know why? It's because he has contributed to this area and we know he has, and that's why we support him 100%. The aspect of tribe is secondary to us unlike y'all

You not getting my point. Maybe because you too sentimental to see the my point or you don’t like to travel like me. Nigeria is a multi cultural environment that harbour many tribes together and have history of war with each other. There will always be a fear of domination by the host tribe of any community if the visitor decide to be engaging in there politics. I once live in a local Govt in jigawa state that outlaw Christianity because they believe it will corrupt there community. But we later negotiate with the elders of the community that they should allocate a hall for us that all we want is just to always attend mass of Sunday and we promise that we will never try to convert there wards to catholic/ Christian or purchase a land that will expand us. When they saw our sincerity, a hall was allocated to us for mass and we live peacefully with the conservative Muslims there. Throughout my stay there they don’t see us as a threat anymore. Engaging in other peoples politics or religion have consequences. If it is hausa, they would have start sponsoring terrorist on them

Alright, now I understand where you're driving it. I travel well, both within and outside the country.

You have points though, and it's quite disgusting that instead of our leaders to foster national cohesion they use tribe and religion to break is further apart for the benefit of their political career. And in our stupidity we allow them. In the end of all these, na we be the ultimate losers

You people are trying to get the man killed cos the last Yoruba who tried to be councillor was killed.

Let me be frank with you there was a time when I would take mostly Igbo as tenant ( Now na Wazobia i am listening to Igbo landlords who have been there no tribe more than 45%) and for the most part they are good but if you get one bad one often times an ipob they are criminal minded and have come to Lagos to move in and destroy and they have anti Yoruba sentiments. With time, they will terrorise fellow Igbo into cohorts to stage gorilla warfare against you their landlord. I was warned but I want people to tell me who they are so that when I decide to go gangster then all bets are off. Now I am too old and my health for me to getting into that.

Most Nigerians want to be seen as good so they quietly do their evil so now everyone including me our deeds is out for posterity to judge.

I'll be honest I don't understand your point very much, mostly because of the lack of punctuation

So you mean it's a crime to carry out our legal rights of voting and being voted for? wow. shame on you.
In my estate in Owerri, a Yoruba man is our president. He contested against 2 Igbo man and he won. We were even trying to convince him to contest for councillor of this area and if he did he would've won because he's popular and that would've been a stepping-stone for higher positions for him. The honest truth is that you guys are extremely tribalistic but you try to cover it up with "being accommodating"

Nobody goes to invest in an unsafe, unprofitable and unpredictable environment just because its called home.

Elon musk is from SA bt his biggest investment is in US and China because they provide the right environment.

Lagos provides the right environment so they invest in lagos, that's how it works. Let ur governors do the right thing for once and u won't need to preach b4 people rush to invest.

This is not only in the south east bt also south west bt lagos is a southwestern state and welcomes all so they are fine.

Please stop chest beating.

Remove the fact that Lagos was a former capital and have seen migration over time...

Remove that Lagos has GQ of all the banks, Insurance, IT companies, etc..

Remove the fact that most people from other southern state have to travel to Lagos for Visas and travel.

Remove the fact the they have to use MMIA to travel.

Remove the fact that most importers have to use the only fully functional seaport...

When you remove all these, you will find that Lagos would revert to another Ibadan or at best another Cotonou Benin republic...

...these a verifiable facts.

Is the South east safe?

is the South east developed?

does the South east have basic amenities and infrastructures?

does the South east even agree with themselves?

All u have said is correct bt are also just excuses.

Lagos isn't the 1st or only Federal capital territory. Neither is it the current FCT yet it thrives yes may due to some unfair and redundant government policies like the ports bt even if u open the ports nobody will leave lagos in droves for ph because of this prime location and safety in Nigeria.

Create international Airports in all regions still won't attract foreigners or IT companies etc. if the environment isn't safe, developed and predictable.

Is is international Airports or sea ports that stopping ur roads development or clean environment like akwaibom and calabar?

All u have said are the usual excuses we have been hearing for donkey years while other regions are moving forward and u are shouting chest beating.

It's gone far above what HE Sanwo-Olu can resolve. These self righteous Igbo leaders should have waded in all those times their people were insulting, threatening, cursing,
burning down Lagos and using hate, religious and tribal bigotry as political tool against their Yoruba host and Yoruba leaders to the point that it damaged the warm hospitality of the Yoruba then things went out of what Yoruba moderates like us can single handedly resolve.

They completely went out of line until they put their fingers into the mouth of their Yoruba hosts. Haba! It's like they were deaf, blind or dead when all the obscenities were going on. I told them, calm down, you can not mock Yoruba Elders and Leaders and get away with it. They ignored every word of caution and these same Igbo leaders now begging enabled the hate targeted against the Yoruba by their own people with their deafening silence while the nonsense lasted.

They were everywhere online and offline, dragging Yoruba Leaders and Elders without any iota of sensisitivity to the culture of their hosts that place respect for Elders and leaders as a cardinal virtue. It was so so bad! Really bad!

We are brothers and sisters o but the cheating must stop. You can no longer keep your own 100% and want to share from our own so henceforth, for equity and justice, you will get same measly measure of what you give to the Yoruba living in Igboland because our own resources are finite too.
If you insist on still meeting with the Yoruba leaders, you will not hear peem from the Yoruba Leaders. Nothing!
On the law of reciprocity we stand! Don't cheat Yoruba and Yoruba should not cheat Igbo.

It only showed more during the last elections just because Obi contested, what capped it off was the fact that he won the presidential election in Lagos despite all you people's mago mago... Atiku won in osun state but ona no talk

You Yorubas are very tribalistic... It was even you people that played ethnic politics in the last election...

Neither the S.E or the north started any SWAGGA, Yoruba ronu and emilokan slogan. Na ona turn the election to regional challenge..

Obi won in nassarawa Dem no beat anybody Tinubu won Ebonyi and Rivers Dem no kill person but just because peter obi won in Lagos you people started being oppressive and vindictive...

Yes, we're encouraging him because he's a good man and he has helped a lot of people. Good people should be put in positions of authority if we're to move this country ahead. When we had problems with the estate transformer (before I came to Nigeria), I learnt he was the one who pulled all the strings and got us a new transformer, and this is just 1 of many thing he has done so why won't we encourage him to contest?
