Even if you want to be condescending of the other scholars because you are Igbo, just know that the gold was forged and made in Mowe,Ogun state,SW Yorubaland. So rest.

Give honour to whom it's due, the SW is getting it right with education but I don't still want our boys and girls to rest. If you are non Yoruba schooling in Yorubaland, I have not excluded you too because you are still part of our product too. If you don't like it, go to another place outside Yorubaland to study. This life kogbagidi

You are talking nonsense.
That brain was made in Igbo land through thousands of years of superior genetics passed from generation to generation.

It has nothing to do with your Mowe or whatever you call it.
I mean heck! An Igbo lady went to China and topped her Chinese language graduation class.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said a certain Ejikeme Mmesoma (Joy) who had earlier been celebrated to have scored the highest mark in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) falsified her result.

The board has also threatened to withdraw the candidate’s actual results for allegedly falsely announcing herself as the top-scorer of the computer-based test used to rank candidates seeking admissions into Nigerian universities.

According to JAMB, Miss Mmesoma’s actual score in the test was 249 and not the 362 she claimed to have scored...

The agency, therefore, advised the public to always cross check these claims by candidates before rushing to honour them with undeserving awards. Meanwhile, JAMB has said it would withdraw the results of Miss Mmesoma and also prosecute her.

“This is not all, as the Board would, in due course, investigate all candidates laying claims to higher scores than they actually obtained. Once discovered, such candidates’ original results would be withdrawn forthwith, and they would be handed over to relevant security agencies for prosecution.”

Illiterate fool, Esans,Owan/Ora,Auchi which is part of the Etsako tribe are sister tribes to Bini and we are collectively called Edo people as a tribe. We have mutual intelligibility to a great extent. In fact scholars agree that Esan and Bini are dialects of the same language. A Bini man can decipher up to 75 percent of what an Esan man is saying, some of their clans 80. Others 85, some as much as 90. An Esan man can decipher up to 70% of what an Etsako man is saying. It is a continuum. Ebira is only located in Igarra. Ebira and Ijaw can be excused, they are minorities and they do not make up more than 2 percent cumulatively in Edo state. So when we say these names are from Edo, we are not talking about the fact that these names are from Edo state. We are talking about the fact that they are from any of these tribes that are related and share strong linguistic relationship and affinity and therefore also identify as Edo. If an Ijaw Name is there or an Ebira name is there, I will not be able to Identify,Even If their land is situated in Edo state. It is because those names on that list are names from twin tribes to Bini which share linguistic semblance and relationship, that is why we Binis and Edos are able to identify, because it is names we are familiar with and we are used to.

Please stop trying to educate that tribalistic bigoted idiot.

They keep trying so hard to lump us Edos with yorubas and in the process try to make us join sides with them in their never ending ethnic war with the igbos.

We Edos are an ethnically neutral entity and will never take part in their tribalistic rants. Bunch of hate filled myopic tribalistic imbeciles.

You all lost and are behind the Magnificent Igbo girl.
Suck it up and Rest!

Why top 12? Why not top 100? Who made the rule of what number to stop?

All that matters is that Igbo is on top of the log.
If you want to check overall performance, do a top 100 and Igbos will have more numbers than all there. The top 12 stuff is dubious to me.

See the list from Deeper Life school. Out of top 131 students there, I counted up to 41 Igbo names!
That's approximately 31% of the students in that top of the class list.

My point being that all that matters is who topped.
And then the next question is who has overall best performers. We don't have stats on this from JAMB, but I'm sure if one exists, SE will top SW on it like we have been topping on WAEC, NECO and Federal Unity schools.

We are not boasting. We are stating things as they are, and we can't dim our shine just to save your envious eyes from going blind from our brightness.
Ndo.

Stop this victim mentality. You started your history from the civil war without mentioning the cause of it?

Did you know that there was nothing like military rule in Nigeria before. That majority Ibo soldiers planned coup and ki!!ed all the political leaders in Northern Nigeria, Western Nigeria, but didn't touch their leaders in Eastern Nigeria, thus soaring the first seed of ethnic mistrust in the country; only to put an Igbo soldier Ironsi as head of state;

If Igbo soldiers that planned the coup had Ki!!ed all the political leaders across all region without leaving the Eastern political leaders, maybe Nigeria and the Igbo story might be better of today!!!

Edo is not just the name of the state but also the name of the various peoples whose ancestors migrated from Benin(Oe’Edo), the center and traditional headquarters of the Edo people.

Yes! Just like every major languages, the Edo language has it’s various dialects(like you have Ijebu variant of Yoruba language and Ebonyi or Ohafia variants of the Igbo language) but these are to some degree intelligible with the major Bini language depending on the distance of the sub-ethnic group from Benin.

For example the Esan could understand Bini to atleast 70-80%. The Owan people speak almost the same dialect like the Esan. When an Etsako man speaks an Owan woman could understand almost perfectly. This goes same for an Etsako person listening to an Esan man. It goes all around this way.

Finally, although each group may have their own traditional rulers, however it’s the Oba of Benin that is regarded and homoured by all as the Grand Traditional Ruler of the Edo people and hence the permanent chairman of the Edo state traditional council.

Before the British came, the Edos were already civilized. They were the owners of most of the space known as Southern Nigeria today including some parts inhabited by both the modern day Yoruba and Igbo people. They are a proud and intelligent people who know their history. You can’t divide them not when they are outside here.

Don’t be ignorant!
Be educated!
Be wise!
