@OP: since your husband doesn't believe that a property bought with personal funds should be co-owned in marriage, there is nothing to worry about. Save up and get your own property.

what is the % of your money in the purchase? If you don't contribute up to 30%, your name is not suppose to be on it, the Land is neither yours nor your husband but the children, don't allow the spirit of marriage breaking flying around to enter your home

Never mind. A Lagos court has already decided on this kind of issue. You both own it. If he dare try to sell it or transfer the ownership without your consent, it is the buyer/beneficiary who will lose his/her money.

I will advise you to retaliate, buy a property and don't include your husband's name in the title documents of the property

Aunty, if he doesn't want it to be like that, you can use your money to do investment to make more money to buy land or acquire properties for yourself but make he is aware.

Very elated to know that men are now really getting wiser. If you are not contended with sharing the ownership of the property as his next of kin, that is, if you have been able to earn that status, then revenge by buying your own property under sole title.
