You think?

A team of speechwriters did their job. Tinubu's job is to rehearse and read the speech. He has no slightest idea about all those things written in the speech.

"Our commitment is to promote the greatest good for the greatest number of our people".

This is one of the biggest problems in Africa. Most Africans think of themselves first instead of the greater good of their society.
This is the biggest major difference between Africans and Westerners.

Thank you, Mr President.

Saved over a trillion naira, we cant see the money impact. And most of the saved money come from de masses;the huge money we take de buy fuel.

The man reads far better than his predecessors.
He's convincing.

Quickly translate de gains.

He cant declare minimum wage on air but can quickly remove subsidy on air

I am sorry to do this and pls do not take this as an attack, if you do not like someone you will never see any goodwill of the person and sometimes you would only argue blindly. We know on this forum you do not like this man, I just want to address something, when you lots tout your mantra of "from consumption to production" how do you intend to achieve this production without giving the SMEs access to loans for their manufacturing ? Or were you going to import the manufacturing firms from abroad ? This man's press release is trying to capture the poor of the poor, the petty traders and moving up to the manufacturing people, should he have abandoned those that are least on the ladder and focus loans only to SMEs? Lastly while you might have a point that loans are conduit for people just taking their part of the national cake and not ready to pay back, at the end of the day no matter how true this is , no serious government would use that as an excuse to turn away from loaning businesses, Jonathan loaned businesses and there was corruption, all the people that were given rice mill license and allowed to import rice for a period with waivers , how many of then completed their rice mill ? But Buhari wasn't going to because of that suspend the efforts for rice sufficiency and had to give loans again, even Peter Obi would not because loans giving out before have failed now refuse to give manufacturing firms loans too . So rather than just conclude that the loans would fail, can you tell us the better way to fund these SMEs and other manufacturers?, Thanks
Did you read my post at all? Giving loan directly to business would always be filled with corruption ... I was never against giving loans to SMS

Maybe u need your advice more than me

One reason I don't read or listen to such speeches is that they are coined by the president men whose job is to hoodwink people into believing all the jargons .

I stopped reading when I came across; "I will not talk in difficult terms" I will be plain not to talk on economic jargons , as if he was not reading just a written text.

I am a Tinubu admirer but I found so many errs from the speech.

He is hell-bent in subsidy removal, not actually because of the good it will do to our economy but to cut down the power and influence of non elected elites who are making chunk of money via it.

H e claimed that as a result of the very big sum of money they make from this, it's a treat to out democracy.

One very important question, what does Tinubu do for a living to have in his disposal the kind of money he has.

NB; I do not support these caucus who are like Parasites to Nigeria's economy but it's like "Baba" was talking out of jealousy, "when one crimbs, he cuts the Ladder"

You are not a Tinubu supporter
