These girls showed grit.

Balogun and Okoro peaked just at the right time. On the day Amy and Taiwo didn't have the best gamez they rose to the occasion.

Congratulations Nigeria.

Really proud of the girls.
I think Balogun has always been good...she was exceptional and probably our best player in the Semi-final....

Imagine if Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike, Elizabeth Williams, Michaela Onyenwere, Promise Amukamara, and Arike Ogunbowale are available for the next Afrobasket😁

FIBA Africa would just hand the trophy to Nigeria on day 1 🤣

Of course she's good, but she had a slow start. Today's her best performance.

We don't even need them for Afrobasket. It's for the world stage they are needed cause the talent there no be here o.

We can still flex in Africa with some of these girls.

Fun fact

1. Nigeria prosecuted this championship with 11 players.

2. Dillard may not be Senegalese (I.e. without any connection to Senegal via parental heritage). She American. She got naturalized by presidential order to allow her play for this Afrobasket.

Nneka is such a great player. A legend in her own right. Can't wait to see her play for us.

Injury hasn't been kind to Chiney. But for Nneka's pull in LA, they'll probably have waived her by now.

Nigerians have often alleged that the official FIBA women afrobasket Facebook page is bias toward Nigeria cus whenever we win, they take too long to post it, compared to other teams... Na today I confirm am ..

The sane applies to the CAF women football page.... Na so them no like us reach 😂

Congratulations to the D'Tigress team. Back to back wins. 4 times in a row is not a joke.
Following the D'Tigress progress on the twitter handle page was epic. The handler is such a joy on this competition.
I didn't realize we had a NL page on it.

This Uganda Nigeria tie is too close to be called hypertension session. And for this singular reason, I swear that all the exco members that were involved in disbandment of our formidable 3times back to back champions including Sunday Dare, will not perish well "sportically" speaking.

How can we paraded a diluted team to an African championship that has become our birth right. As far as am concerned, a sequence of 5 to 7 championship is our birth right if only we keep it good off field (administrative set up) and on field by using quality and tested players .

This country tire person.

==============================
Giving the facts that this Nation of ours, Nigeria, is heavily blessed with talents left , right and center is a mystery in itself.

Another lesson learnt in life, never over-exagerate your emotions.

Apologies to my egbon who have suffered from vitriolic vituperation on account of errors : Misjudgment, Misinterpretation of processes, Miscalculation of the larger picture and above all commission of hasty generalization fallacy by myself. Apologies. It's a reflection of investing too much expectations in the success of our national teams.

Finally Kudos to the wonderful coach , the MVP of the tournament and the entire team for locking down a 4th consecutive wins in a row and believing they can earn more accolades for the fatherland by winning the next two edition for a bragging right.

Congrats to the Ladies. What a feat. A thrill to see the smiles on their faces as they break the existing record with style. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Musa and Okonkwo are gems. Beautiful to watch. They do stuff effortlessly. And for Coachito, Sydney Carter may need to come take some touchline classes. 😂

Sydney carter isn't even a coach. She just fey demo to build following. She plays an administrative role, more like a player advisor. The coach of her team is man.

I believed in these ladies from the start. I said they would win the Afrobasket in Kigali. They have won it, haven't they? I also spoke about Ifunaya Okoro's talent, that she has been exceptional for Kenya Ports Authority ( KPA ), a basketball club in Kenya. Today, Okoro showed the class she is made of. We should give Nigerian basketballers ( Male and Female ) who play for clubs in Africa, a chance to play for Nigeria. They are experienced and have been exposed to the basketball culture of other countries. Congrats, D'tigress.

The most successful women BB team in Africa by Titles they control ::::

Senegal ( 11 )

Nigeria ( 6 )

We need to close the gap by winning 5 different editions in this decade. It's a task we must set as a priority moving forward and eschew the spirit of unnecessary rancour among the NBBF officials in order to get it right. This is the new targets.

Slow start to competition or today match... The team itself always start slow except today

I also felt Dillard should have won MVP instead of Amy...she literally drag Senegal along in knock-out phases especially against Cameroon and Mali...

For the switch to happen, Nigeria must request Cambage's release through FIBA before Basketball Australia signs off.

She's lying.

Don't take Liz seriously

She's looking for a way back into the WNBA cause as it is, she's radioactive and nobody will touch her. The interview just like Dele Ali's was supposed to give her soft landing. She however messed it up with more lies.

Promise Amukamara has come on the record to dispel the lies. Yes she said those things. No, no one is working with her to play for Nigeria.

You’re right. She has an OnlyFans page, although she says she doesn’t post n.ude content on there. Nonetheless, she should just steer clear of our D’Tigress lol

You skipped the Las vegas Aces. It was cause of her wahala she was traded from Aces to LA. They won a championship after she left.

so i finally saw the video of the warm up match between Nigeria and Australia, could not hear most of what was said, but saw visuals, cambage elbowed Victoria macaulay twice in about the same play, Vicky got upset, they almost started fighting, they were separated, Aisha Mohammed comes in for Vicky, Aisha boxes Cambage out, Cambage, swipes Aishat face from behind, Leading to the game stopped for some seconds, Aishat got up and lauched at Cambage, the game was called off. They were saying things i did not hear though.....Ultimately Cambage was playing dirty leading to the altercations.
