Whenever a man marries late (or early), it's his choice and preference, but for a woman, it has to be down to her poor character (mostly arrogance). Such thinking is beyond archaic and obtuse.

Whether for biological (mostly child-bearing) or otherwise, no one (man or woman) should be age-shamed or blackmailed into matrimony.

Marriage is too serious and complicated a matter for anyone to jump into out of peer or societal pressure.

Even with a lot of accomplishments, being 30 and single can be so pressurizing among out ladies, owing to the pressures from families and society to get married. Sometimes, this pressure sums up the reason why majority delve into an unfruitful marriage.

I see you're a Northern Christian. Well, the concept of how you guys see marriage is very different from how Christians in the south see it.

I'm genuinely curious though, what is it like marrying a Christian from Northern Nigeria (Adamawa, Gombe, Plateau, Kaduna etc) as a Yoruba or Igbo man?

Do women still marry under 30? I haven't seen any in a long while. Seems the average age of marriage for a woman is now 30 to 35 and men is between 35 to 40.

The modern woman doesn't marry as early anymore, most women want to graduate and settle in their career before getting married. This has also caused an increase in the birth of special needs children. All my opinion and observations.

This make me remember a sister who is in her early thirty, when she graduate at 25, got job not long after NYSC.
Whenever she was approached by guys, she considered them lower than her. She rejected advances from a guy who she claimed her salary is more than his.
To cut a long story short, the same guy married her after eight years of searching for her type of man to no avail. The man is doing great in business now, making money more than she can imagine.


Moral Lesson: No man is lower than a woman. Man will always be the head .

A lot of ladies always think there is this perfect man waiting for them, not knowing they just rejected their husband. Mothers seriously need to guide their daughters btw ages 22 to 28 yrs. That is the age range most females miss their husband & once they miss it, it is very hard to find a replacement, 35 yrs will hit them within the blink of an eye.
