@Megawealth, it appears you are a pessimist.
Among all the successful self investors, none of them was a pessimist.
Being an optimist is the first gateway to become a successful self investor.
I can tell you the secret of Transcorp, it is the most potential risk rewarding listed company on NGX.
The harvest season is sooner than later.
If you are a patient self investor, you should do anything within your reach to have at least 2M units of Transcorp PLC at the current price.
Tony would never delist Transcorp, the worst scenario is further unbundling that would benefit patient self investors.
No matter the calamity that befall the Nigerian economy, Transcorp would never trade at sub N2.00 again.
Not now, nor in the future.
The growth is predictable, things can only get better with the current management team and Tony.
Watch out.📈📈📈📈📈📈💲🗝️ Key of Transcorp transformations as it combines growth and value.
We can write a passionate letter to Transcorp and ask them to show more love for minority investors and allow the poor to breath.

After my due diligence work,I have put Caverton plc ahead of Transcorp in terms of reward.Infact I have started accumulating Caverton like I did in Japaul. My target units in caverton is 30 million units and my time frame is 12months.

Caverton my top pick for Q3 and the rest of the year.

Transcorp is a very good stock but mgt nko.Now that Tony and family has over powered every investor in Transcorp, never expect Transcorp to go up as expected because the higher the price, the higher the dividend.Tony can't pay 20kobo dividend in a stock that has 40B o/s and a stock of #4 is expected to pay above 20kobo dividend. This is one of the reasons i have withdrawn my interest in the stock. If not Otedola's interest in the stock, it would having been roving at 1.00 to 1.20.I can only play Jijo on Transcorp and nothing more

Good as you have it but those buying now, can they boast of making another 100% from it in the near future?
Caverton can deliver 400 to 500% in a short period.Their business is receiving good patronage now especially the training and maintenance subsidiary.Their helicopter and marine not doing bad too.

I will place Transcorp far above caverton. The energy sector is the next big thing to happen in naija just like gas.And Transcorp is making big investment thr both in generation /distribution The only problem is the OS which ngozi them made big mistakes then.I will pull out if Tony tries to carve out the power sector from it.i have caverton and can't wait for it to get to my BE to sell.Caverton is another ABC transport.I will keep buying transcorp anytime it touches #3.50 and below. Not everything listed really represent public company and that is whr caverton belong

You are a very rude person, the fact that I post personal opinions on this forum does not meant we are at the same level.
Do you know the size of my portfolio?
Do you know how much gain and loss that I had made?
For your information, fallowing in my portfolio is 3.5M units of Transcorp purchased for my children, the journey is 10M units.
I started buying Transcorp 5 years ago and my confidence remain strong and unshakable in this company.
Investment of N340000.00 in Transcorp Hotel is currently reading N3,4M in my portfolio.
Who are you to make such a stupid assertion that I would run away?

I don't think things should degenerate to this level. We agree to disagree and disagree to agree. One thing about the stock market is never say never or impossible, the market will always do its thing. We should only be prepared to use it to our benefits when the market does its thing

So you don't know what "Nobody" means? The guy has deactivated his account for good. LOL. Maybe it's because he said he has 150 million naira in his investment portfolio. It's a large sum, but not that large to warrant deactivation. 150 million naira is like 70 million naira in real terms, thanks to inflation. LOL. I bet many people here are in the 100 million naira range as well.

Come back, brother! I enjoy your take on things. Everyone's contribution is a useful addition to the body of knowledge.

In my opinion, at the end of the day it boils down to profitability, the ability to generate profits. Sentimental analysis can push a stock but profitability is what decides whether a stock will keep its advantageous position or not. When it was below 2 some one here called that it will get to 4, I think ositadima1, saw it in one of his tables. Anyway, let's watch closely what there next PAT will look like.

No need to put much attention.
The stock is not for minority.
They are even regreting the move that took it to #4 self.
I am beginning to avoid stocks that has something with Tony.
I expected the market to react positive to yesterday's news but it was a sluggish move.
The bears will soon descend on the stock and I am expecting the 4% MTO from them at sub #3.
you just said what is on my mind, anything that has to do with Tony I always avoid it.

Let me make my own call.I only have one million of transcorp which is at 1.30 in my portfolio. I didn't like the stock. However with the current and level of investment they have been making of recent. I have reconsidered. The power sector is gold mine that is yet to be taped. All that is holding it is transmission and efficiency from distribution. Can you imagine transcorp hotel from transcorp selling at #35plus.

I see transcorp os being reduced to 20 billion in future
And after third quarter result transcorp will btw 6/ 7 Naira. 60 percent ownership of Abuja disco is a very smart investment

After alot of consideration. I have decided to narrow my long time/retirement stocks to three.Any other stocks is now short to mid time investment. That means I can sell to add investment in the retirement stocks when it presents opportunity. They are dangota food, ucapital and wapco. Already have plenty afolabi units in them.
Pls scrutinize these three stocks for me.

Nigeria is projected to have an exponential increase in population in a few years to come and food will definitely remain a constant necessity. Dangote Food will definitely be a major player in that space, so aligning with Dangote Food for retirement is an excellent decision.

The infrastructure deficit of Nigeria is huge and the gap will take long years to fill up . Wapco is an excellent player in that space, their recent Green and Eco friendly innovation is top notch and fully backed by Federal Government. Amongst the three major player in that space, WAPCO is best positioned for huge capital appreciation, the dividends yields has also been very decent compared with BUACEMENT. WAPCO is also an excellent decision

Tony is quite unpredictable, so I will not want to plan my retirement on UCAP. But it's a very good company with a lot potential to grow.

#6 or #7 is very possible if Abuja Disco is factored in but can they pay 20kobo dividend to shareholders considering the O/s of 40 billion?
Even if the price gets to 10 without a good dividend payment to shareholders, the price will drop.
Transcorp will be attractive after reconstructions. They need to keep the stock at 15B O/s so they can pay up to 50kobo dividend for a start.5kobo/10kobo dividend won't favour the price of Transcorp.

When you consider that transcorp generates electricity for a majority of southern nigeria, and that is just one arm of their business, you will know that the company ought to be making as much, or even more than mtn. But the people that are holding it will not let go. So they will keep releasing eps of kobo kobo while geregu which is not up to less than a quarter of transcorp keep paying dividend that double the share price of transcorp.

The day we start seeing the real profit and value of transcorp, is the day dangote will see real competition
