I have 2 bank accounts, one for saving money and one for spending money. The one for saving money is expected to be growing every week or every month.

Once the spending account is approaching where I may have to borrow from the saving account, then am broke. i.e. the saving account should never reduce.

Everybody get their own broke limit.
For some, it's when the account is virtually empty and there is little or no hope of extra cash coming in.

For others, it's ten thousand, 100k, 1m etc.

For others they're broke if they can't afford certain things at the moment.

In summary for everybody, you'll be broke when your expenditure is more than your income or cash flow. grin grin

When money is not coming-in again!

I don’t care how much my investment portfolio or bank account statement is, the moment money stops coming-in, I am broke!

I have a savings account and I have money for spending. When the money set aside for spending is finishing, I am broke.

If you don't have source of income and you said you are broke, I see such person as stupid.

Being broke should be used by someone that is earning.

Also almost all hardworking Nigerians are broke now... because expenses increases compare to income

My Mum has millions in her account, yet she cry more than the poor.

Each time you ask of money, you will hear, "ba kudi" meaning no money.

But she bought a Toyota car last 4years of 9Million cash!
She is building houses everywhere and buying lands.

So I think being broke is when you realise that you should be richer or you should have more money than your present financial level.

When I hear someone say they are broke, I start to think about how they measure money. Yes I know everybody's income varies. Every time one of my friends complains about being broke, I know she has a few thousand Naira in her account.

Before I complain of being broke that means I have nothing in my account.

At what point do you complain of being broke?

In a moment I can't even buy two sachets of water for #50, that's when my brain would realise I'm broke.

Smile....not funny
