SmartPolician:God bless you. Black people need to invest massively in Education especially Africans. We need to re-orientate our mindset. Call it white man curriculum but we need to start from somewhere. I've been not Less than 5 sub-saharan countries bro. I swear it's a sorry sight. They still discriminate you as a black person, telling you to go back to your country of origin. I don't think in the next 100yrs black man will be able to find it'd footing. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

It’s like that because people provide for almost every infrastructure like roads, water, etc, by themselves. It’s when the government comes in that you see streets been properly constructed 1 Like |

Most of the people shouting sh*thole here...once government initiate moves to demolish some of these shacks for roads and other developmental projects....you see them shouting and cursing like their umbilical cords are spiritually fused to disorganization. It is on this same platform we saw them attacking the new FCT minister just because he wants to sanitize Abuja. Awon go front no oya go back nau Noooooo! 1 Like |

nairalanda1: Very funny . What happened to all the taxes being paid before now . Do you know how much FIRS hasn't been able to account for ? What about the Nigerian postal service...do you the billions unaccounted for ? What about the yearly budget by the ministry of works, how much is being padded and how much is actually being used to do the work what about the former minister of petroleum aka the president , how much accounted billions and no one dares to question him ... That tax excuse you're bringing up doesnt cut it all , so how are saudis able to do theirs with their income tax? We have solid minerals , crude oil , natural resources you can ever think of and even a young population ... So tell me how tax is the main issue 5 Likes 1 Share |

Reflect7: See them! Typical Black man! Everyone is the problem, but yourself. I am sure it was because of the US invading countries that the world was waiting for them to develop COVID vaccine and distribute. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was busy crying and wailing for access to vaccine for Africans as a way of stopping COVID-19 because it was a pandemic. Any disease America cannot cure, no other country will make effort to find the treatment. Everyone's waiting for America for the solution to everything, yet you dare write trash about them! In serious countries, they don't joke with research. America spends billions of dollars every year on research. In fact, American government funds the research of private universities, companies, agencies and research institutes. Tomorrow, they invent new things and implement them. Those they don't commercialise, nobody will have access to it. If America didn't commercialize the internet, nobody would have access to it today. When we were in school, a lot of us in STEM spent money to do research and develop something. The same thing we did in school ended up in the dump sites of various universities because the Black man is only interested in finished products. Nobody cares about research in Nigeria. Nigérian research institutes are not even funded. Until we begin to admit we have problems and learn from countries that are genuinely making progress (like the Asians are currently doing), in the next 100 years, we will still be struggling with epileptic electricity supply and politicians will be promising us pipe borne water as the dividends of democracy. We haven't been able to solve those problems 100 years after amalgamation. I leave you in peace... 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Raydos: No Single Lie. This Is 1000% Correct Fact. It's a SKIN Problem. Some of Us despite being a Black Human. We have High IQ but We are very Unfortunate to have found ourselves amongst these set of Beings. But the goodnews is we can change the direction of the Tide. Personally i don't want my Offsprings to carry the Gene of 100% Black Gene. That's if i change my mind about having Kids. This is the reason why I hardly interact with Black People, Most especially the Poor Filthy Ones. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

cyrusmillz: 1. We don't collect enough in tax or 80% of government revenue won't be oil 2.We also earn enough oil revenue to make a country that has less than 10m look nice. Not a country of 220 million people. 3.And like I always say, we have to change our economy. And stop corruption. I have repeated no 3 several times on this thread, yet you guys don't read. |

Re: Why Do Most Nigeria Streets Look Like This? by COMPAQ(m): 1:17pm On Sep 07, 2023 |
Raydos: Its a function of poverty of the people, illiteracy of the people, incompetence (from our town planners and government). It may be acceptable that some of the poor, old parts of a town remain this way. After all the core of Ibadan, which is characterized by those brown tin roofs, were in existence hundreds of years ago. So the only way to modernize such areas is to bring them down in large chunks and redevelop. However, where I weep more for Nigeria is the new areas of cities are not much better. For example, the Lekki peninsular was pretty much virgin land in the 80's and 90's. Lekki really took off in the late 90's. We had an opportunity to really plan that axis well, but as usual, we no dey get sense. https://www.nairaland.com/7550276/estate-layouts-nigeria 2 Likes 1 Share |

The people I pity the most are those IDIOTS who still believe in God. I mean, most of Asia and the West are either Atheist or believe in some other religion aside monotheism abrahamic religion, yet they are miles better than this cess pit. To solve the African problem, we have to ban Africans from travelling abroad. Especially the politicians. Imagine if politicians know that the moment they get into politics or hold any political office, they won't be allowed to travel abroad for things like medical treatment or to send their kids to school. Most of them would be reluctant to hold any political position. Black Africans are like small children, the way they think. Consumerism culture and low intelligence 2 Likes 1 Share |

Sane Nigerians have been begging them to create there own country and rule themselves but they refuse. They want to drag everybody down to there level. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Lucyspa: So, for telling the truth, I am now defending injustice? At the end , my point is clear We have to vote in a government that 1.Improves tax uptake 2.Ends corruption 3.Creates an economy that is dependent on the sale of industrial manufactured goods and services to world markets. And it is not APC, PDP or even Tinubu. None of them meet that criteria for me. P.S : Arphateid South Africa did spend more on whites than blacks. Black areas were in a bad state as a result. Part of the issues that have blighted SA. |
