Here's a question. Isn't "industrial" milk, the very same milk used in making of baby foods, Baked goods, packaged foods, UN food packages, etc. How can you feed your kids those but not the milk used in making them? undecided
going by your logic ... do you or your kids eats flour?? no but you would eat snacks and pastries right ?? yes...

are flours not used in making them?? does that make flours consumable ...

it's called a friggin industrial milk. Human might be able to consume them but not directly cause it has to go through some process/procedures to make it suitable for consumption...
Re: This Is The Milk I Bought For #89,500 For My Children. by Silentgroper(m): 11:07pm On Sep 14, 2023
NwaliE01:

Thanks for the clarification. Industrial milk connotes that there's need for further processing, meaning that a product is not at final stage.
Example, sucrose in the industry has similar molecular and structural properties as table sugar but it's not meant to be consumed because there are some level of "impurities" I tried be be careful with the use of the word "impurities". The impurities here doesn't mean that it would kill when consumed, but it implies that the product is not at its best.
Now, my concern is for the kids. Can we be a little bit careful please?
now. someone with wisdom...

l think it's still penny wise pound foolish..

A big sachet of cowbell is 2,200 and it weights 1kg.. this bag is 25kg x 2200 = ₦55k. And he said he bought this for ₦90k

This is the comment. grin reduce vawulence cool
U sabi economics and fit run home well

On a serious note sha. Sb like me . I cannot drink cowbell although it is cheaper and taste Ok. I personally strongly detest the taste of cowbell.
I enjoy Dano, Peakmilk, 3crowns and Hollandia .
Even in sacheta, Cowbell is cheaper than Dano.

But l dont mind the extra bucks for same kg/satchet amount of Dano. Nor vex l hate cowbell milk eh. Just as l detest Bournvita and enjoy Milo and ovaltine.

So for folks like us, u gotta calculate the cost of lsatchet of powdered pasteurised DANO milk or lkg pack of Dano multiplied by 25 to compare with the 25kg bag of pasteurised milk of same brand..

Nor use another milk Brand. I vit vomit untop cowbell milk taste. But smart homemakers know how to buy closely substituted goods ; cheapesttasty milk insteas of overpriced for same kg.

Do u even take milk in ur house?

What is the difference between Dano milk in bag and the the refill?

As u have them in bag is the same way u have them in refill.

Common sense is not common with poor men in Nigeria. The reason why u talk senselessly is because u don't have money. Every time when things like this happen, una go dey apply science and fictions.

I know U cant afford it for now and I don't care how u feel about it.

Why do Nigerians not like to drink fresh milk? Is powder milk cheaper or what?

When l travelled to Europe, fresh milk is cheaper. I always bought llitre of milk . In contrast, Dried milk is more expensive. I saw the lkg pack but it was not worth it at all for me .When l know how many litres of fresh milk l can buy , for that same $ amount for tiny powdered milk costs.
Dried milk is more ezpensive because it has a longer Shelf life. Does not need to be Refrigerated unlike fresh milk .

Fresh milk is more common in Europe than dried. But nigeria of those good ol days pre 2015 pre shege promax . 10naira u don see dried satchet milk buy wheras u have to shell out more for satchet peakmilk.

Europe and Yaki has the market advantage of industrial/mass production of farm animals and birds just like poultry using High technology for large scale industrial farming.Their cattle is not even free range nomadic naija style but in Ranches. Every thing having advantage has disadvantave.

I was warned not to crack chicken bone in Eurpope cos its bone of industrially reared chicken. Risk of cancer. All the chemicals in raising them fast has residue in the fluid of industrial chicken bones
Wheras home grown free range organic chicken one can chew the bone.
Abroad one has to double check cos their cattle meat might not even be from organic grass fed cattle.
Everything chemical chemical pesticides life in high tech world .
Wild caught fish is very rare. Fish chemically reared in overcrowded artificial ponds with pesticides. Wild caught Salmon is rare.

Industrial production stuff are more available and cheapeer . And food demand of whole developed nation is more easily met without importing too much. [font=Lucida Sans

Nigerians like fresh milk na. But naija na fulani herdsmen get more cattle than industrial large scale ranches.
Not easy meeting fresh production quota. It is more economical for producers who lay hands on the fresh milk , to produce stuff with longer shelf life. Light nor even constant like that sef. Erratic power supply. More Dried milk is better in the target market

My 50 cents.

After using it to bake...u will eat right.
If it is poison u must have eaten times two.

Whatever u think,is ur thoughts. U have not bought one how then do u think it is for industrial use?

Dano milk in bag is the same Dano milk in refill. I have bought them all in bags and in refill including Lactorich.

Finally, keep ur opinion to yourself and stop criticising what u can't afford.

In 2015,this milk was sold for 28k or less than because then,we used to share it among our colleagues, and it's either I buy this one below,Lactorich or Dano.

Mathematically,it is cheaper for me and my house than buying refill at #2,200 which may only last me one day or at most two days.

So,yesterday the one I bought in early March this year got finished and I and my wife decided to buy another one that would at least last for another 5months or thereabout.

The price of this milk is now #89,500 Dano that is locally produced is #87,000.

I can see why the poor has been relegated in
Nigeria and their voices have been smashed and dimmed. Ask the man on the street about the economy,he would say,e go better as if has ever been better in this country.

If we don't put the right people in govt, the poor and the needy would continue to wallow in abject situations.

Naija my country.

Blend almond and dates
Use that as milk substitute

yes both baby food and yoghurts pass through a heating process before they are packaged and sold to you.
Even the popular tin milk brands pass through a heating process.
Raw Milk has bacterias loaded in it, if you don't heat threat it propely...babies all over the world would be seriously ill

Only milk is pasteurized while yoghurt isn't. If you pasteurize youghurt you killed off the germs that make it yoghurt. Thanks
