So why are the countries with high minimum wages not regarded as the cheapest with respect to their living? grin

Looking at the trend
You will notice that richer countries with high human development index and GDP are the most expensive to live in

They get value for their money

I feel reverse is the case in Nigeria
Since 2014, APC introduced a new style that will finish this country.

They pay people to twist Opinion on social media.

Watch them come up with more lies like this.

Unfortunately, everyone is going to get a dosage of these lies and propanganda..Even if they like let them live in diaspora for all their productive years, they will come home to die and get buried one day..

BURIAL organisers go still purchase things here for them.🀣🀣🀣

Yet they spend over 60% of income on feeding and are one of the most malnourished. This is a shameful statistics when placed in context.

What is to be happy about? Is it the Naira devaluation everyday 1usd=#1005?
Or the petroleum products prices in the market? Things are too expensive and wages remains the same. Let raise our voices together and voice against what ain't right. When hunger nearly send us to grave, we wil forget tribalism.

What exactly is cheap talk less of free in Nigeria?

Is it electricity? Food? Water? Hospitals? School? Housing? Security? Clothing? Gas? Kerosene? TRANSPORTATION?

Which one is free in Nigeria?

As for the statistician who came up with this stat.... Thunder fire him..... Let him come and stay in Nigeria for just 1 month living on Nigeria's minimum wage and then release an updated set of statistics after Nigeria has reset his brain .

this is how its calculated. If a foreigner comes to visit nigeria and bring in 100 dollars to spend on vocation. the foreigner will get cheap food, cheap data, cheap fuel, cheap beer, cheap drinks and so on. so the foreigner is king over here in nigeria.
thats why because of the loss of the value of naira on a daily basis, nigeria is now becoming the cheapest country to live in the world

A mini flat with running water in the city centre will cost above 300k

In a state like Oyo, asides bank you rarely see a job paying above 100k for full staff

Not to live..... To visit. Know the difference. The citizens don't live on the dollar. They live on the naira. This calculation should reflect the domestic value of money.

That's what I always say. We spend naira in Nigeria, not dollars. Calculate how much you keep, after removing everyday bills and expenditures, this nominal figure, after paying bills, buying food, doing things that aids your living and good wellbeing, after deducting all these, the remainder is what you are getting.

This is because the wage system is relatively poor and one of the lowest in the world.
This are expensive in developed nations witj good wage and salary structure but they are affordable.
That's why I said things should not be necessarily cheap but they should be affordable if you raise the wage and salary structure.

Tue minimum wage should not be less than 200k.

lol.
It is just a way to twist reality but may not be a lie.

Living cost though has risen, is still cheap, but extreme poverty means people can't afford enough still. That points to overall poor performance of the economy.

If I say food stuff is cheapest in my area but hardly sells, and the people are always hungry, then it probably means poverty is so rife in that area. They just showed a small part of the whole picture that sound good in isolation but not in reality.

And how many people are actually collecting 30k Monthly? Even at the federal public service level, no single federal government employee in any agency is paid 30k. When they say minimum wage is 30k, it means that’s the minimum and not what everybody is collecting.

Is anyone arguing this with you? I don’t think so. You people like putting up unnecessary arguments where none is relevant just to make your country look bad. Nigeria is cheap relative to other countries of world when you compare the cost of living, simple. For example, the cost of a loaf of bread is still around a 1000naira here today, while in the USA is around 2 or 3 dollars. The cost of rent in Nigeria is around 2m for a standard apartment whether in Lagos, Abj, or PH. But it is around 2000dollars in the USA. Simple

People work for free in the real sense of it. If someone will work 9 to 5 for 28 days to earn 30$ then he worked for free.
