It's also very pitiful and pathetic, that the doctors and other health workers in university clinics/hospitals are still receiving ₦5000 naira as hazard allowance. Ippis have refused to pay the implemented new Hazard that other federal health centers (FMC, teaching hospitals etc) to these group of health workers.

About 17,000 civil servants in the core ministries will NOT get September salary. Office of Account General of the Federation.

If you didn't do or complete your IPPIS HR Verification, forget your salary
UPDATE ON THE IPPIS LIST

To all the affected officers whose names appeared on the list, you are kindly requested to go to the Ministry's IPPIS unit with your duly signed IPPIS verification payslip, your print out/ evidence of NIN link to the IPPIS self-service platform.
2. Please take this information as urgent, cos the IPPIS unit through the Director (HRM) must forward the list and evidence to the OHCSF as soon as possible in order to avert your stoppage of salary.
4. Injury to one is injury to all
5. Please accept my highest regards and solidarity as always

*Comrade* *Nurudeen* *Mustapha* , PhD; Inview

Total and indefinite strike is the way to go. We have a very insensitive govt in power. Over 4 months after pump price moved from 180 to 610, your workers are still receiving the same salary and you're asking them to be patient
After the presidents speech on Monday labour will backdown

Labour should pause first and receive September salary before embarking on this indefinite strike action please to avoid a sad story.

Most civil servants are under TUC not NLC. So they will not be affected.

Should government be owing September salaries by 3rd October? If what you have rightfully earned is capable of being taken away, then just forget it, negotiations will never bring desired change. Infact we may end up becoming beggars. This strike needs to be total ad comprehensive like that of January 2012

If you don't have savings from what you have been earning since this year to sustain you then is better you resign from this job.

This strike will be total and indefinite

E reach to ask o....... before you drop your resignation letter, 1000 ppl are queuing to take over.

Most ppl are living from paycheck to paycheck

How many civil servants can save from their miserable salary unless if they are involved in other extra-curricula stuff in their place of work?

REPORT OF INDEPENDENCE DAY WAGE AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT BY PRESIDENT/TUESDAY MEETING FAKE - LABOUR MINISTRY

The attention of the Ministry of Labour and Employment has been drawn to reports circulating online and also published by the Punch Newspaper of 27th September 2023 claiming that the President will announce wage awards and palliatives to workers during his October 1st Independence Day speech.

The report which is said to have emanated from a purported "interview" with the Director of Information at the Ministry also claimed that a last minute meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday between Federal Government and Labour to avert the proposed strike.

We wish to categorically state that the report is false and misleading as at no time did the Director of Information make such disclosure of either announcement of wage awards or a scheduled meeting to the Punch reporter during their interview, which basically centred on the previous engagements between the Ministers of Labour and the Labour, including the release of NURTW officials granted bail due to the Minister's intervention.

Members of the public are enjoined to ignore the report as it is a total fabrication of an interview by the reporter to suit the narrative of the interests best-known to the newspaper.

For the benefit of doubt, it is important to stress that the Director of Information at the Ministry of Labour does not speak for the President nor is he involved in writing his speech to warrant him making any categorical statement on its content.

If and when the Minister schedules a meeting with Labour, the public will be adequately notified through verified channels.

The said newspaper is advised to retract the story and maintain professionalism in its reportage to avoid misleading the public.

There was a memo for university staff to submit their NIN, unfortunately, this didn't work out as the site was not connecting.

Moreover, there was an ASUU directives for members not to adhere to the directives.

Nevertheless, I doubt if any staff (teaching and non- teaching) adhered to the instruction.

Again, how do you link your nin when no usernames and passwords were created for the university community.

It's going to be a rough October. If salaries don't come in this weekend, there will be no staff at IPPIS or bank to pay workers.

One chance big one.
