I worked in such school and he called around 9:00pm, I didn't pick, she got the message immediately. Learn to draw the line. Start now and while you are at it, start your own business.

At your age, you cannot stand up for yourself. What I see here is that you are a people pleaser, and most often than not people like you get used to pieces.

You need to grow up some balls and be a rebel. Start by doi this today or tomorrow, if he calls you by 23:00pm, don't pick and if he calls you by 5:00am don't pick and if he asked you why you didn't return his call, man up, look into his eyes, 👀 eye balls to eye ball and state it politely that your contract states that 7:20am-3:40pm.

God will help you to own a school or business that you will employ people one day and you will then understand your boss.
If you all as workers treats the parents who is your customer bad here, the school will fold and you go to another school while your boss will loose his investment.
If you feel you are not treated well, you have the option to quit.

I think that's what I should do. Each time he calls, my Blood pressure will just rise even before I pick the call. I've lost my peace already. As far as teaching is concerned, I have lots of experience. And can easily get another teaching offer if I quit this.

My brother I've just quit mine last week based on similar situation with you so my boss pleaded with me to stay behind and teach the new manager for two weeks. Any job wei no go give me joy I'll stay away from it because I can't allow any family to kill me because I dey find wetin I go chop.

So, I work as a teacher of Mathematics in a Private School. The school is almost 3years since it's establishment while I'm over 2years working there.

My Employers(Husband & wife) are the Best you can ever have as far as the teaching job is concerned. They pay on time and are easygoing people. However, almost all the staff(42 staff) aren't happy with the fact that they give parents and students more concern at the detriment of the staff. As in, you can't get into a conflict with a learner or parent & ever expect to win the case even when it is obvious you're Right.

They allow the parents to decide what goes on in the school. And this isn't going down well with many of the staff. Parents moan a lot when u give them such chance. At a point I had to tell my boss that I was resigning, but he pleaded with me to stay and I stayed. But I'm really getting fed up.

The other thing is his incessant and unsolicited calls. I've worked in Eight schools in four different states of this country & I hate to be friends with my employers cos I have learnt a lot based on my previous experiences.

Such relationship doesn't end well cos I'm always at the receiving end. Truth is, I love the sch so much. The pay is not even up to 40k but I bless God. Aside doing my job, I also advise him on way forward as regards the sch. I even won the Best teacher's award last session.

I feel really uncomfortable with the way he calls me everyday even on weekends and odd hours. I no longer have my Privacy. He calls for very trivial reasons and it's about what I should do, how parents are complaining about some particular issues.

You hardly get applause for been dedicated to work. He is so quick to criticize, but never gives credit when he should. No matter how perfect you are at your job, once there's one little stain on it, it has dented every other good deeds. It's really so demoralizing and we the staff are not happy. There's no staff there that isn't hardworking, so why not overlook a few mistakes? I understand it's Business but his staff are also humans.

At times, I will have to either put off my two phones or put the phones on DND so as to avoid his calls. He has all my three lines. I had to stylishly ask some other close colleagues of mine if they also received such numerous calls form our Boss, but they said No.

So why is mine different?

Because of that, the burden of success of the organisation was left to me, if anybody did not perform they all look at me like its my fault, why? Much was expected from me and I was expected to absorb all pains cos "I'm the leader" 3. Others can make excuses cos nothing much is expected from them and it will be like " just leave them" but I can't do same cos it will turn into something else.

Fast forward to when I got fed up, I got into a Seruous issues with my boss as a result of outburst of anger when I was overwhelmed by too much work and I see no one helping much. The Funny thing is they are not in the position to get angry so they were in good terms with the boss, but me that got angry,...no one considered all the work I was doing... the only news about me that was told to everyone and beyond us that " I disrespected my boss" case closed!

Now all of the are still working there. Even though I got a far better job... it was a lesson..

So in my new job, I don't do more than I can carry. I refuse to be any "natural leader " let everybody be lazy cos at the end..the lazy ones will have no black remark but you that much is expected from.

Use and dump loading.... You are the CEO of your life, God didn't create you to serve another human being forever else, you pay for it. You were created to serve God and humanity in general not one person. Any person who is working so hard to colonize you is not your friend. Serve someone who is willing to position you to serve God and humanity.
