Atiku is just a selfish overambitious politician. He went from PDP to APC to contest for the party presidential slot but failed to Buhari (assisted by Tinubu).

Went back to PDP and destroyed the rotational presidency agreement forcing Obi out and fracturing the PDP. Never considered that Nigerians needed a break from a 8-year Northern presidency. Only his ambition matters and did just enough to ensure that himself, Obi and Kwakwanso never gathered enough vote to displace APC.
