She should go ALONE, you should get your female relatives or hers to assist in childcare and you should also learn the basics of childcare because you will be 100% involved with taking care of your child here in the UK.

Then after about 6 months, arrangements to join her can start.

Arriving, she should rent a furnished room in a shared house that is bills inclusive. Alongside her sponsored job, she should get a 20hrs per week part time job as allowed by the visa and after about 4 months, she should start looking for a 2 bedroom flat in preparation for the arrival of you and the baby, getting a house for a family is not a day's job.

When you and the baby come over, you will be taking care of the baby when she is at work and you can only go to work when she is off work, this means you will work with her work rota.

Why must he get a female relative? Why can't he do it, or isn't it his child? Or will he never need to care for his own spawn himself?

What he really needs is a mistress, otherwise he wouldn't be asking anyone.

Let her go with the baby....is OP not the child's father and what is the big deal in a man taking care of his baby in the physical absence of the baby's mother?
a 5 month baby needs the mother more than the father at this stage

Who will be looking after the baby when she is at work?

Mind you a paramedic is not a 9 to 5 job.

LMAO. You want a man to take care of a 5 month old baby while the mother is alive? Are you normal?

If he had issues with her, wouldn't he demand his children even if they were suckling and she were alive to spite her, the way Nigerians men always do?

So what makes it impossible for him to care for his own child this time around? Because he legitimately needs to hold his child?

It should be Health and Care visa. It doesn't require much from y'all to get it as a family. Apply for it together with her. They'll give you guys and you'll go together.

Uncle, there are breast milk formulas for zero-six months old babies like Similac and aptamil.
I told you of a 14 weeks old baby that the mum absconded coz of money.
The baby survived on breast milk formulas and became even fresher and fatter each day. Expensive though but they can do the job perfectly for a dad.
The baby's grandma can handle bathing normally while dads change diapers these days.

It’s so strange that your wife could get visa and you and the baby are not included as dependant,I hope this not a scam.

I don't usually comment here. I think you need a good advice from someone who's already in the UK. If you ever want a sincere advice i can brief my brother about your situation and he can advise you accordingly. His wife is a certified doctor and he's also working there. In the meantime don't listen to anyone who doesn't have first-hand experience with this kind of situation. Don't let anyone lead you astray.

Peace be with you.

A Nigerian man was arrested in Birmingham last week by the police for messing up......he was having sex with his wife's 13 year old niece who lived with them and their 2 daughters. I guess na the wife cause am. sad

You are being extreme. You don’t know a woman until she has power over you. Uk is tough place especially for a new settler. It is a regimented environment and you are constantly stressed by bills. You are forever in the work/ bill trap. You dread opening your mail because it’s one bill or another. It is a particularly tough place in the cold winter months between October and March. The cold dark isolation in those months especially will test the resolve of any single woman.

It is not the environment where you as a man want to be dependent on your wife. She will start to resent you. Fights will start. She will start alto see normal behaviour as you messing up because the real problem is while the job sounds good on paper, in the cold light of day the pay for a paramedic is not enough.

Where. Is your wife going to stay, where are you going to stay when you get there…room or flat? Rent/ council tax will take half her income, transport/ food and bills will take the rest. She will eventually get frustrated that despite all her work she has no savings left and you are not contributing.

So if you make the mistake of not greeting her properly, you have messed up, She goes to work and comes back and the house is not clean to her taste, you have messed up, even to sleep you are messing up. You are applying for jobs but have not secured One…you have messed up. The baby is crying and you even suggest she looks after the baby after her long shift at work…..yep you’ve messed up. You dare ti ask why she came back late….. you’ve messed up. That’s life in the UK for a man dependent on his wife.

These feelings will happen with every wife in this situation, the question is how long does it take for it to affect her behaviour towards you. How long does it take you to get your act together and the character of your wife.

God did not design a woman to be in control of the destiny of her husband. Woman is a helper and women wives sincerely want to help but there is a difference between helping and handing control of your destiny to your wife.

That your continued presence in the UK is dependent on your wife is a dangerous situation to put yourself.

Man up. I'm facing same challenge right now. But I believe in her and I trust her. My wife just travel 3 months ago. I'm all alone here. We talk 3 or more every single day on video calls.

So you'll be fine. I only have pity for the small baby of 5 months. All will be fine and you'll be glad she went to make way for the family to come over.

Hmmmm!
I am not trying to doubt you, OP. But be sure the Job is genuine. Western countries hardly hire foreigners as paramedics. It is even difficult for a foreigner that is resident in UK, Canada or USA to be hired as a Paramedic talk more of hiring someone from Africa. To be a Paramedic requires lots of vetting and disclosures. Check well o!

Those of us who have lived in the UK should Stop selling these people fantasies. It may work it may not work but prepare his mind for what could come. There is more to life than just making money. The emotional toll separation can take on a family is real!!!! Furthermore and you know this. His wife is now his boss. It may not sound nice to put it that way but that is the reality. He will be at the beck and call if his wife.

I will advise you to do whatever it takes to go along with her and the baby.
Or better still let her go with the baby as long as she's not working in London, y'all can survive in the Uk
If it's on Nigeria it's easy self. For UK is not easy at all. Nobody to assist
