My family graduate visa was approved by the home office today. This couldn't have been possible without your help when all hope was lost.

Even when the care home I have been working with for a year as a relief worker disappointed me and said they could not give me COS.

Well, this same company is ready to offer me COS now that they know I had applied for a graduate visa. (gist for another day}

Just to input this,this goes out to large families applying for a graduate visa like mine (family of 5); it cost us £10,350.

Visa fees: £822, IHS for 2 years: £1,248 .

Please do everything possible to look for that money. If you apply with your partner without the children, your application will be put on hold until you send in the children's application.

I wish everyone all the best.

If need be, look for lower starting roles, once your feet don firm like chicken, start looking for higher roles (it's always easier to grow from within).....

You’re right, heard similar experiences of others with the home office. I too am a victim, got an offer as a senior business analyst but was also withdrawn. The level of clearance must be the issue, I actually thought it had to do with visa length, hmm it looks clearer to me now. Thanks for bringing this up.

Well, one thing I always tell people to is look out for the nationality requirement and the SC clearance stuff If less than 3 years to avoid wasting time and energy on the application.

If not clear, a contact mail is always at the bottom page of the advert.

A friend got sponsorship at AO role with DWP tho she was moving from student visa directly to work visa.

Someone else wasn’t given for the AO because the person is moving from a work visa.

Seems hmrc could sponsor EO (will not sponsor AO), same as DWP.

Best bet is to start working with them with other visa say like graduate visa, the chances of getting visa will be high. For instance, on norms Ministry of defense don’t sponsor visa if the job is not on shortage occupation list, but someone got the sponsorship because the person has been working with them while on graduate visa.

@Schoolhike I’m just stuck with the pre recorded interview for EO role. I wasn’t successful with my first attempt and the second attempt i was placed on reserve list. Can you please drop any hints on how to score higher with this pre recorded interview. Thank you

Your application was okay and your interview was good aswell. You might be called up anytime. Just keep applying. Wish you best of luck.

Three others got reserve list and were called after within a week. (AO role), this is fast because lots of people leave AO.

Lots of other reason why people are out on reserv list which I can’t list all.

Think applicants are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, which means that while the residency requirement is a significant factor, it is not the only consideration

I also observe that lots of roles and projects these days are requiring more of DV clearance making lots of SC cleared applicants look like a joke. So those jds where SCs are stated may actually not be eligible at the end of the day to work on projects requiring DV. Quite tricky so people should be aware.

Hmn, same thing happened to me, the care home I worked for refused me visa 2 months to the expiration of my visa, psw wasn’t very sure then due coursework that was resubmitted(committed to working for the care home because we aren’t sure of the psw), permission to apply for psw was approved by the school 2 weeks to visa expiration, went to apply for visa immediately, was a long story.

Happy that it did not workout with the care home, then got a job with a private firm 2nd month after psw came through.

I pray your disappointment becomes a blessing for you guys also soon.

My family and I applied to switch to a Tier 2 visa since August. My wife, who is the main applicant, got her visa early in October, while i and the children's visas are still not yet out. This is the 11th week of these applications. i am really worried because our Tier 4 had already expired in late October.

I have successfully completed my MSc, and i am supposed to start working full time now, but this delay is not helping as most of the work i demanding my share code.
