Funny enough, if mother like child A, the father dislike that one and if mother dislike child B that would be dad's favorite



This child mimicked the character of their parents. If u act like dad, mummy would like u that may even attract her to dad in the first place...but dad dislike seeing his character been display

My dad fell ill and I took care of him both at home and in the hospital to the point of his death I was with him, I didn't take what he said to heart and he never apologized but I did all that because I loved him very much, I saw him as a hero, even the person that he preferred wasn't interested in taking care of him as much as I was.
I totally forgot about this whole thing until this my younger Bro accused my Mom of been bias towards him which is true but as the first and oldest son I always stand for him whenever that happens because I know how it feels.
Please I urge present and future parents to do better with hiding or avoiding this favourite child thing, it's not really ohk.

When I notice it I do not care. My Dad loved me till his dead. But I see my mum loves our last born more and na him no even care pass.
I just excuse my parents because I understand human weaknesses. It’s a human thing to love something more than the other. I do not let it get to me

if a parent prefers a particular child it doesn't mean they hate the others. it's just a human preference which happens innocently or for a core reason in every human interaction. Aslong as the parent doesn't hate the other children then there's no crime in having a preference.

However it is a crime for a child to hate his/her siblings just because the other is a favourite. That already disqualifies him/her and shows the reason he probably wasn't the favourite.

As for u op continue to love ur family regardless of these imperfections. Ur younger brother accusing ur mom enjoyed preference from ur dad bt now is insecure when it's the other way around with ur mom. He wants to be the favourite that's why. which is childish.

who is the favourite doesn't determine anything about what u will become. what is more Important is who u really are and what u do.

Sometimes parents, bosses, pastors and people in general have favourites to spite another or cause problems btwn siblings or groups not because the favourite person is special in anyway. Do not let them use u for their games.

Some fathers always tends towards the more aggressive of their sons, thinking that he would be the one with likelihood of success in the future. The quiet and reserved ones are always chided.

Some fathers will prefer to go out with their more outspoken and extroverted son. The quiet and introverted ones are kept at home. But the reverse is the case with Mothers. They like and trust the more reserved, quiet and introverted ones. However, it is the quiet and the introverted that takes care of the parents more.

Call for a family meeting with your mum and siblings.

You need to communicate some with the wisdom which I think you already have. From my observation, you guys have different strengths and you all must accept this and then bring your individual strengths to work together as a team.

As human, you must have a favorite kid, but you must never ever show favourism especially in family or Politics

Often protected and pampered more does not mean liked MORE
There are so many variables e.g the age gap between first and last can be 6-7years or more than 15
I have even seen 20 where last born is same age as First child of first born

So a mother will have learned mothering skills over time and correct early mistakes made when she had her first child, there may be more money in the family over time and age also catching up
