After IRCC had approved your visa and stamped your passport, a letter of Introduction will automatically be updated on your portal. It comes with a tag "Correspondence Letter" on your MYCIC account.

Due to the new LOA verification directive from ircc to all colleges everything is on pause if you look closely since 1st of dec no one has gotten Ppr here it’s not only you waiting just be patient every day you’re getting closer to your victory post…alternatively you can send a web form since your resumption date is close…cheers

I don't think everything is on pause. Even if it's on pause, it is on pause for applications done on December 1st upwards and not for applications submitted before December 1st.

when I say pause they’re waiting for confirmation from school as from dec 1 visas cannot be issued till Schools confirm LOA wether you applied before dec 1 or not as long as your visa is issued after dec 1 loa must be certified

I am getting POF of 35m from a bank plus my sister is dashing me 1 million. I have about 5mill in my account but it's my husband's. My admission is for Spring/Summer 2024

How should go about this application
1. Should I put the money for POF in my husband account to show he's sponsoring me? As am doing Family application
2. Is there need to get my sister's acct docs. & all to show her as sponsor?

Hi Nairaland, does it mean I'm the only one they are asking to bring the TCC? Does it mean there are no students here that submitted a TCC for their form A?
Why are my not getting a response? I know how many people that have mailed me from this platform since I came to Canada a year ago that I directed willingly. This is trying to teach me that people here are for their own personal reasons! I'm asking because I'm not in Nigeria Currently if not I would gone out to find a solution. Starting January 1, 2024, the cost-of-living financial requirement for study permit applicants will be raised to ensure that international students are better prepared for life in Canada. This threshold will be adjusted each year, similarly to other immigration programs. Learn more: canada.ca/en/immigration…

For 2024, a single applicant will need to show they have $20,635 in addition to their first year of tuition and travel costs. This change will apply to new study permit applications received on or after January 1, 2024.

In addition, Minister Miller has provided an update on three temporary policies that were set to expire at the end of 2023, including the following:

· International students already in Canada, as well as applicants who have already submitted an application for a study permit as of December 7, 2023, will be able to work off-campus for more than 20 hours per week until April 30, 2024.

· The measure that has allowed international students to count time spent studying online towards the length of a future post-graduation work permit, as long as it constitutes less than 50% of the program of study, will continue to be in place for students who begin a study program before September 1, 2024.

· A temporary policy was introduced on three occasions to provide an additional 18-month work permit to post-graduation work permit holders as their initial work permit was expiring. Foreign nationals with a post-graduation work permit expiring up to December 31, 2023, remain eligible to apply. However, this temporary policy will not be extended further.
