Hi people, I need clarification on a topic please.

For someone who had previously studied in Canada and had PGWP whose spouse (newly-wedded) wants to go to Canada on Study Visa. Is it possible to get SOWP for the person who has previously studied?

Good morning. I want to begin my student visa application and hopefully after I get my visa we will then do that of my husband. But I have a few questions and I will appreciate answers.
1. While filling my own form on the website should I indicate I am applying with my spouse or not. (We dont want to apply together at once. But after I get my visa he will then apply). So should my answer be yes or no
2. I am using my gtbank for proof of fund. I will the bank statement be done. Gtbank can send directly to the embassy but I saw that there is a space where I have to upload the bank statement. How do I go about it?
3. After getting my visa and then we begin my husbands application, we will still be using my own bank account for proof of fund right? Will they expect that both my proof of fund and his proof of fund will be in the account even after getting my own visa?

Hey 🤠

1. Since you are not applying with your hubby right now just indicate NO ..You 're not applying with your hubby.

2. Download your GTB statement on your phone or laptop ....note where you downloaded it to ..ie desktop (on laptop) documents (on laptop and mobile ), download (on mobile and laptop) etc. Then click on UPLOAD from the Canadian high commission web and it will take you to where your GTB statement was downloaded to ....click the GTB statement and then click save.

3. After getting your visa .travel to Canada and wait till your graduation time ...invite your hubby as a MUST ATTEND GUEST ...by that time your hubby will have to use his own proof of fund as a working and responsible hubby .

Best wishes 🙏

Best to not make sporadic transfers. I’ve sponsored 4 siblings already without issues.

There’s nothing wrong with a sibling sponsor if you can prove source of funds and relationship.

Thanks for your input. How do I go about it?

Guys, this is an advice for those still considering coming to canada to study and have plans to stay in Canada after studying. Please consider your plans before making the move because it doesn’t worth it anymore.

If your plans is to come and study and go back home then no worries. Over 32,000 PGWP are expiring in March 2024. Canada government has told them to go back home . No more extension. Some of them are in the express pool with scores ranging from 460 to 490. The Canadian government has purposely increased the score so that most of them wont be able to get the ITA.

It is clear now that the government only want to make money off the students and send them back home. Also the country is very tough now and difficult to survive, cheap labour everywhere and the cost of living is way too high compared to other countries. Most Indians are now going to the US for their studies. Statistics shows that Indians which are the major students coming to canada , their applications to canada has dropped by over 50% percent in the past few months because the government has made it difficult for people to get PR after studies.

If you have the money and ready to invest in just education then you can come. If your plan is to stay back, it is better to consider other countries that can give documentation easier without having to waste huge resources.

Hello,

Thanks for this information.
But what country is preferable to go to now and I want to start my application next year for a master’s degree program.

Kindly suggest which country is best to apply for and will appreciate if a view pointer can be made to the university too.

Thank you

They don’t approve proof of funds on its own. You will submit ur application, do ur biometrics before they begin to review ur application in general. Your proof of funds is included in ur application.

Good evening.

I got Admission which was to begin January but deferred to September next year. I have paid full fees for Conestoga College, and it’s a one year course -Career Development Professional. I Want to begin Visa application soon after reasonable documents have been gathered. Please I have the following questions;

-Do I apply for visa alone first or with my son and husband at once? (Though My husband is my sponsor and has no plans leaving his job ).
- if I’m to go with Son, how much is reasonable POF ?
- Do I still need to input my personal bank statement (I have about $12k on my own and like #3m) even though my husband is my sponsor?

Please help cos I’m gingered to apply on my own without agent.

Thank you

Hello house. I submitted my passport at Vfs Abuja for visa stamp on the 30th November 2023. I got news on the 5th of December it is under processing but still no news yet. And I have a deadline on the 15th of December to submit my visa stamp so I can register my course or apply for deferral. My worry is my program next intake is January 2025 and I don’t know if I can still use the visa to travel if I defer the admission.

Hello House. Trust everyone is doing great. I've got some questions:

1. What is the average student visa processing time?

2. My spouse recently secured an admission for September, 2024. Can we start our application now?

3. If we start now, won't our application experience undue delay?

Thank you.

Stop doing permutations, i currently live here and telling you the situation of things. The Draws they are doing nowadays are selective, not everyone is doing healthcare or tech, not everyone can write or speak French, not everyone can afford 30k cad to buy LMIa to boost express entry score . My messages goes to those people. It’s really hard here now. Do not go by what people who don’t live here says or using google to do research, listen to those who live here. 70 percent of these students falls in these categories, now what is their hope of staying back after spending over 60k cad to study here. The Canadian government stopped canada experience class draw since 2021 which was what the students relied on to get PR.

There are still better options available to getting PR.

MOVE TO PROVINCES WHERE YOU CAN EASILY GO THROUGH PNP.

There are always options. No one should give up on his or her dreams. It is DOABLE

You just need to prove the relationship btw you and ur sponsor. He submits job/business documents to show how he came about the money. Then he transfers part/all the living expenses to you to show commitment on his part.
