I quiet agree with you but then, the reality I am seeing on ground is quiet different from the scream on social media.
I stood at the Ethiopia airport flight board last month at Addis Ababa and scanned the flight going to Nigeria, 8 flights bro, 8 flights for morning to afternoon on board. Not to even talk about evening own.
And most of these flight would be virtually full with 85% Nigerian passport holders.
By the time you factor in Kenya connecting flights, turkey own, British own etc every blessed bleeping day then you start wondering, who are these people?
Are they not feeling the economic impact? Are they in a different Nigeria than ours?
Where are they getting all these flight money for a country with a minimum wage of 30k per month?
Alot of things are not just measuring up

There are many Nigerians travelling who are based abroad and returning; and doing business across the world. I think Ethiopian Airlines works well with China and other places in Asia. So, the numbers are there. The UK is literally Nigeria's backyard even before independence.

We have Africa's largest economy and population, but I strongly believe we can do better than what we're doing.
emmaodet:

Well, probably.
You have a point.
I will reason in that angle too

Yes, that is the way. Tuck the other passport in a safe place. Upon arrival, present the home country's passport to the immigration. When in Canada, flash Canadian. When in Nigeria, flash Nigerian. Most would never tell you they have a second passport or permanent residency status unless when pressed or if one is close to them.

hehe Chief to each his own I guess. Wherever suits you is home I guess. For me personally I don’t enjoy being outnumbered and called minority so I am never going to enjoy settling in these western countries. I am an alpha male and in these countries as a minority I don’t feel alpha. I need to feel alpha. So it has to be a Black Country for me to settle in. It’s just how the LORD made me. I just can’t be an outnumbered minority.

My brother, the last time I flew from London to Lagos, the plane was filled to the brim. My wife who has never believed the poverty stats in Nigeria kept prodding me throughout the flight and asking me how come the plane was this full if there was so much poverty as we were being told.

Even the last time I flew Lagos to Abuja, the plane was jampacked at a fare of 240k return ticket. This Christmas, I hear some airlines are charging nearly 600k for Lagos to some routes and the tickets are sold out. How people dey take make this money for Naija and who are these people really?

well he was in this place called calumet city. It’s a southern suburb of Chicago. Basically it’s south side Chicago. He had just finished nairalanding from his college and was on his way home . He had his laptop bag with his laptop in it. Thugs saw the bag and decided to take it from him so they stepped up to him and BOOM they dumped bullets in him and took his bag and ran. He had just got home and was about to enter. He died on the cold concrete floor in front of his house

Did he struggle with them, because I'm trying to wrap my mind around what might have led to the shooting. Where they just trigger happy or he resisted?

If someone is not looking for validation, I doubt he or she will be posting unsolicited advice for everyone to japa, and then getting pissed when they are not receptive to the advice.

Japa could be absolutely right for some but absolutely wrong for others. Let everyone enjoy their own space. Life is all about choices and trade-offs. No one has everything.

Making a general and blanket call for everyone to japa without any consideration for their individual circumstances is just lack of wisdom

Are they truly Nigerians? Because the poverty rate is starggering.

You guys should stop discrediting Nigeria in this way. I established my company in Nigeria, November 2022 (last year) with only 3 staff. Currently, I have 11 graduate as staff and the least paid is 100k.

Nigeria is not as bad as you guys portrays her. Do whatever that pleases you and allow others to breathe.

The more you discredit Nigeria, the more you are discredited abroad.

Now Canada, UK increasing BTA, restricting Nigerians because of the way you people act like abroad is heaven...this is bad and it's only Nigerians that does this. Stay in your abroad, carry your families there. This is our country, everyone can not leave it and migrate, some prefer staying here. Stop acting like there is a serious crises in Nigeria, abroad is same as here, no free money.
abroad police won't harass you because you look fresh

abroad bandit won't kidnap you or kill you

abroad your children will never shout up Nepa

abroad your vote over there count

abroad there's lots of opportunities

Nigeria is like a sinking ship with a confused captain.

If Nigeria advertised in China and India, asking people to come live in Nigeria if they want, no immigration restriction, Nigeria would easily replace all those that leave. Actually, I have little doubt that the entire Nigeria population could be supplanted in short order.

That's a deep personal review of Chitown Sukkot. For the Black folks in the south side of Chicago, the history of the Red Line segregation of White and Black neighborhoods really affected social integration and led to spikes in income gaps, gang violence, baby mamas, drug usage, etc.

1) Like it or not, the persecution of Donald Trump flows from political bias and saying this has nothing to do with supporting Trump or not. If you doubt it, simply think about the attempt to impeach him over claims he's a Russian agent. Every newspaper, police and intelligence agency and even some of the political opposition politicians have now had to accept that the accusation was not only false but COMPLETELY FABRICATED by the political operators working for Hillary Clinton, just look up the Steel Dossier and the shenanigans around it. Look up how the FBI got their FISA warrant to enable them to investigate Mr Trump. These are facts, check them out.

2) There's no country with 100% resolution of murder cases. The resolution rate in the USA is around 60 to 70% and that's commendable, but it's going down due to increasing lawlessness created by the kinds of people persecuting Donald Trump. Even in Sweden, nobody has been arrested for the murder of Prime Minister Olof Palme in the 1980's or 1990's. In Nigeria I can count dozens of political murders not solved, not to talk of wholesale MASSACRES of entire villages with no one called to account. Here in the USA there are squads of police dedicated to solving COLD CASES and there's always reports of decades old murder cases being solved. Just Google.

4) No REASONABLE person can make that claim, but one thing is indisputable for now and in the foreseeable future - the chances of any individual OR family making it to the world standard middle class income & lifestyle is much, much higher in the USA and other Anglo-Western nations than in Nigeria or any African country.

That's all, I don't know why this FACT stokes so much angst on this forum when EVIDENCE abounds everywhere. Anyone can stroll through their hometown or village in Nigeria and count the newer residences of the last say 20 years as I've done...and ask who built them.

Good Luck to Nigeria.

Yes Sir, Salute. Chitown is the most segregated city in all of america. everybody lives separately. chinatown, greek town, southside for negros, lincoln park for yuppies, gold coast for the rich, uptown for the crackheads grin grin grin grin grin edgewater for nigerians, rogers park for jamaicans etc etc . so there is no social integration. lots of gang violence and baby mama drama in the black part of town. drug usage is universal now but used to be a black epidemic. they also have italian and and irish and hispanic and somalian neighborhood
