I align with this post. This government doesn’t seem to have a clue what they’re doing. The president’s irresponsible (from a timing and planning perspective, in my opinion) inauguration address comment about the fuel subsidy removal ruined the strength of the Naira. In other countries, government officials are careful and thoughtful of what they say publicly (about economic matters) because they know that irresponsible comments do cause fiscal damage.

This is just the plain truth

This government doesn’t seem to have a clue what they’re doing.

You are just plain silly.

That citizenship you are chasing, I have 3 in countries you will want to kill yourself for, and I will not sound condescending to the people in Nigeria.

The question you asked shows you dont have a sound IQ.

Each country pays according to how expensive the country is.

In your uneducated mind, you are converting the cost of sweepers in Canada to that of Nigeria using exchange rate. That is what people of unsound mind do.

While you are informing me of the income in Canada, tell me the expenditure in Canada. Is it Naira you will spend in Canada ?.

People like you either remain perpetually in poverty over there or get deported because you cant process thing efficiently.

You are living below the poverty line in the country that you are, and you are not adding any empirical values to the country. Get it right.
You're just beating around the bush...couldn't even answer the question she presented to you.
Oh, so you have 3 of your peeps there?
Why haven't you recalled them to stay with you in your coven?

I guess the best achievement in your life was flying a plane with almost 3 lay overs.

There are levels abroad. How are you balling where you claim you are?

Hustling from one menial jobs to the other. I can't and won't dignify you with a response anymore.

Owning passports do not make anyone rich. It s just a travelling paper. The values you posses is the game changer, which obviously you do not have.

Owning Foreign Passport(s) is a MEANS to an END and not the END itself. It does NOT translate to being rich

I wish you tough luck in your miserable life.

Atleast they got dual citizenship and full right to enjoy the benefits of the basic amenities your country failed to provide for you.
What do you have? Nothing but rotten English on the internet. Foòlish nonentity

Any Visa with K categories is associated with the United States Immigration

K1 Visa (Fiancee Visa)
A K1 (Fiance Visa) is issued to a foreign national who wants to marry a US citizen and live in the USA permanently. For the petition submission, a US citizen (the petitioner) must have a firm intention to marry their fiancé/fiancée within a period of 90 days of their entry to the US.

A K2 Visa is issued to the fiancée/fiance’s child (unmarried and below 21) to the USA. The name of the child has to be in the petition that is submitted for the K2 Visa.

A K3 Visa makes possible for a spouse of a US citizen to come to the US in the category of a nonimmigrant visa while the visa holder waits until they can apply for the legal permanent residence status (status adjustment).

K4 Visa
The child of K3 visa candidate is eligible K4 visa if the child is unmarried and below 21. The K4 visa is nonimmigrant visa and its holder will be allowed to stay in the US for 2 years or before the day when they get 21 years old (21st birthday) whichever comes first.

The B2 Visa is for persons desiring to enter the United States temporarily for tourism, visit with friends or relatives and medical treatments.

I recently had a family house stolen. Parents house, who passed away. Before the dead body was in the ground, this relative found a way to sell off the house. We assumed he took a loan against the house. Took the money and ran. While the bank took over the house then sold it. It was by accident I found out as another family member asked why we sold the house.

Imagine. Someone who's mother died from child birth, but we trained and paid his school fees, food, literally everything. My mother took him as her child the day his mother died. It was actually God sent. We just sat down and started to laugh. The typical person who lives in naija is an idiot who only thinks of today. They think they're sharp, but they are really stupid.

We asked him to calculate how much money we sent him in the past, and how much money we planned to send him in the future. We were helping him with his Canadian papers. Paying for applications, hiring an immigration lawyer, etc. We told him after you chop the few million naira in a few years then what ? You're only in your early 30's. You better hope whichever "business" (aka an unemployed youth hoping something works out for them), you're getting into, it better work out.

It's when he realized what he did was penny smart, pound foolish. He then ran back and begged to pay the money back. We said it's ok, keep it. Go party and tell your guys how your family in Canada are stupid. It's amazing because we're officially done with our "African bill". Literally no more obligations to anyone there, and no real reason to ever go back. I still have people there, but they're not really my obligation. It's as if I paid off my mortgage.

I was able to relate to your post. Most people there are demons who'd kill you in a second for $1. They are extremely jealous of us who escaped that zoo.

True. But the last part that we are jealous of those who left is false and very very wrong impression you guys always have. All my childhood buddies are abroad for example and i got bo beef for no one. I chose to remain here

hehe Chief truthfully there is a group from Philadelphia called THE ROOTS, it's a rap group and they do very great music and play live instruments. Well they always say they are from ILLADELPHIA which is slang for Philadelphia is ill , which means Philadelphia is dope. I just put the K In front of it to turn it to killadelphia which is very appropriate because many people get smoked in this city lmaoooo . Yeah you know our people think they are getting an upgrade in life when they relocate to these places but truly Babylon is falling and what they are doing is akin to integrating into a burning house so it's only right that some of our people would be caught in the crossfires. It is what it is. Symptoms and ills of a dying empire but hey let me jump into the fire and scoop up some dollars for myself and then BOOM, you out cold. It's a story of greed, restlessness, dissatisfaction, discontentment, you know, the typical naija mindset of trying to build huge treasures on earth, men and women running after earthly titles and always wanting to be validated. All folly. But hey it is what it is Chief. Lol. How is Austria ?

There are 200m Nigerians with about half being youth. It is not realistic for everyone to japa. I have colleagues who also said they cant japa but of recent they are changing mouth. One in Chevron reached out to me, he wants to learn french for Canada express entry. The last time i came to Nigeria and visited him he was still anti japa. E go better

I missed this comment. My wife also worked in the oil & gas industry and joined me here by transfer, I didn't do ANYTHING to get her visa. I've learned a lot from her experience in Nigeria. She has told me that the general sentiment in the industry in Nigeria is Anti-Japa, she said even she herself was stridently Anti-Japa.

In her own words "wetin I dey go do abroad where people de suffer?".

She told me how they would swap stories about how Nigerians are suffering doing menial jobs and living fake life on credit card abroad bla bla bla.
My wife and her colleagues were well traveled oh, all over the world, they went on business trips to every continent on earth. It seems their eyes never get opened until they actually LIVE an ordinary life among ordinary people in USA and other developed countries and experience the freedom, modernity, order and peace of mind. That's why so many of them that are posted to Houston on secondment never want to go back to Nigeria.

As she explained to me, university students in Nigeria, especially in the old federal universities, are inculcated with this ideology of Nigeria as a Great Nation and Giant of Africa. The NYSC experience is the final anointing, that's where the brainwash is completed and the brain locked down for good.

For the few lucky ones that make it into a good position immediately after graduation, the MYTH becomes a reality for them and the 0.01% that earn over ₦500K/month. And upon that they get the pleasure of being mini-gods among the terribly poor majority. 😢 It sure feels goooooood...for a Nigerian, that's their idea of a successful.

Then there's the huge number of those who don't get the dream job but continue to live the myth by projecting their dreams, thinking it will soon be their turn to experience the Greatness of Nigeria while the national edifice crumbles and stagnates around them. It's North Korea style political indoctrination. The thing is like juju, it takes over their brain and of course cheap internet access enables them to spew it to the whole world.

There's been ongoing layoffs in the oil & gas industry since around 2014. I know ordinary engineers with around 12 years experience that got ₦50 to ₦100 million severance packages as recently as 2 or 3 years ago. How much is that money worth now?

I know Directors of oil producing companies in Nigeria who have retired to live the rest of their lives in Europe and North America, including my own small town here.

Like I asked someone on another comment, do some rough, reality based speculation on university graduates who decided to return to Nigeria from UK and USA in the 1970's. Every Nigerian should know one or two such families. That Canada based Nigerian Professor Adesanmi that died in the Ethiopian Airline crash, he wrote a little about his own father that returned to Nigeria from the UK back then.

Anyway, those who want Nigeria can have it. Like I said, the juju is strong.

Good Luck to Nigerians!

This is the thing I'm talking about, these are the kinds of semi-skilled or unskilled jobs that make a joke of whatever opportunity supposedly exists in Nigeria grin

I happen to know the son of a medical doctor that's a commercial truck driver. It's very difficult to get that kind of pay in Nigeria. This is why I'm convinced that most of the Anti-Japa people who CLAIM to have lived abroad or have foreign passports are lying. Most of their asinine opinions are completely divorced from reality.

Good Luck to Nigeria.

I am doing some kind of internship with a company, and I co-pilot with the driver, same thing we call Moto Boy in nigeria truck driving system. I'm paid 200 dollars on a daily basis, and after that, I'll have my own dedicated truck, and then my pay goes up to 280 dollars, that's 35 dollars an hour and once i gain more experience i will be paid on the miles I drive during the week or month, and one person go tell me say be slave in America. bro abeg i like this kind of slave. grin

I honestly wish I knew enough about the trades like CDL, nursing, plumbing, metal work, carpentry and mechanics in my early days in this country.

Good Luck to you.

E go better
Met a Nigerian pharmacist here who said she had no choice but to learn French for one yr in Nigeria. While she's waiting to writing her professional exams, she leverage her Bilingual ability and got something nice here in Alberta, imagine when she's done with her exams as a Bilingual lady.

But the Anti-Japa Crew keep insisting that pharmacists are making Big Money 💰 in Nigeria. I wonder why the lady is running away from the huge opportunities in the Nigerian pharmacy industry shocked She should have opened a pharmacy store in Lekki, Ajah or Idumota and let's see how far.

All these open defecating Nigerian miscreants typing on the internet with their unwashed hands. Make una no de lie like say una Sabi anything. Go and collect your 50K palliative and rest.

Good Luck to Nigerians!

You and Oga steel are even doing too much. A regular blue collar job, preferably a government job, will pay you over 100k dollars per year with slight overtime. These jobs comes with paid vacation and a nice government pension, a guaranteed salary for Life until you die. And what's the qualification ? Just secondary school. It's also a essential service, so job security is there.

Any newcomer here. I sit them down, and try to educate them. Their biggest fear is what people back home would say if they find out they drive an ordinary bus for a living lol. Someone that would be making over 100k dollars per year is worried about what some poor peasants back home will say about them ? Imagine. That is why it's funny when people try to insult people abroad saying they clean toilets or whatever. They'll never see the salary of that toilet cleaner here. And yes even if you acknowledge they're getting paid in dollars, and spending dollars here. A toilet cleaner here is still more wealthy and enjoys a better life than a "big boy" in naija.
