I like Opay o but I was surprised to see Monipoint POS all over Nigeria

Lol. I don't think this is a nonsense thread. It is actually a good one because of business oriented people.

Last year, my father needed enquiries on both POS terminals and we were confused on which to get. He eventually got the Monie point and Opay terminals but so far, Monie point was KING and people preferred it to the Opay own.

We should encourage these kinds of thread in 2024. For enlightenment purpose.

I don't know what you mean by durable, if you mean gadget, most of the terminals are manufactured by the same company in China, so durability is the same.
In terms of performance, I don't know about Opay terminal, I only use the business app, while I use Moniepoint and Payforce by Fairmoney terminal and they both have good network.
The reason why you see most people using Moniepoint is just marketing, they understood the market when they came, they worked on limitations set by existing service providers like Opay and the likes in respect to ease of getting terminal, opay will require about 60k or 80k to get a terminal, Moniepoint reduced it to 20k, before anyone could get what is going on, every corner shop is having a POS terminal, since it's serving purpose, no point going for others even when they reduced their pricing

Also when it comes to mobile transfer, Opay is actually the best currently followed by kuda..

Infact a guy went to withdraw with his atm....d transaction was successful he was given d cash and he left....just about 20min later d cash was reversed back to him....but he already collected d cash from d agent...dat is d wahala with monies point!!!...he didn't return d money back to d pos shop....

These POS people are the ones responsible for the naira scarcity we're currently experiencing. They're the ones mopping up and hoarding all the cash used by traders and customers hence making it scarce so that they can resell at high profits. I hope the government regulate their activities ASAP.

If u Ve money get d opay traditional and d small moniepoint...

Both of them have advantages and disadvantages...but if u re just starting business...and u want only one...to b on a safer side...go for opay traditional

I haven't really used the rest. I use monies point for my business and I'm so comfortable with it

Moniepoint go give you daily target....if u don't meet up...they will begin to breath down your neck. There's a minimum value of transaction u must do in a day. If u continue to fail to meet up they will begin to call you. Some of there agent will even talk to you as if they are the one that open your business for you. To avoid the embarrassment you may have to be using your own card to do trnxn to meet up, else they will harass you or even lock up your access to your account. You will have to beg them for them to open it again. My acct is currently locked. I'm saying this from personal experience. There services are good no doubt....but when it comes to their daily target they will give you. You will wonder if they sponsor you to open your business. My 2coins.

The monipoint efficiency is out of this world

Smart cash is a payment service bank on its own, Airtel only provides network just like every other local banks. The two are separate bodies with separate functions.

Exactly! The network is almost always on! They hardly have failed card withdrawal issues. They are even everywhere due to these reasons.

For Smartcash POS, it's just 15 as daily target, no pressure.
