It sounds crazy that an accountant of director level (means the person has served for 18 years) doesn't know payment of huge money into private, worse is personal, account is a terrible infraction.

And these same people will be quoting IFRS on petty cash! Hummm
You think this is the first time the person is doing it , they are all using our head , at the end of the transactions the person will be settled, don't be deceived this country is Far from Redemption.

My dear sorry to break your heart. A revolution willl never occur in Nigeria
Should I 77tell you a secrete about Nigeria
Nobody is angry about bad government in this country we all are pretending to be angry because it is not our tribesmen or religion person that is in government..
Don't be surprised when we call for a protest against this woman her tribes people will not participate. The end sars protest the north did not participate because it was seen as a fight against their own son Buhari. Even some major part of South west did not participate because it was seen as a disruption to the quest and ambition of tinubu's 2023 candidacy
We were all aware that Tinubu's administration is gonna be a repetition of Buhari's tenure because Tinubu was part of it and he was the one who brought upon us Buhari's administration
Instead they allowed tribalism and religion sentiments again
Oh so the suffering of tinubu is greater than that of Jonathan subsidy removal but yet the voices that led a protest and shut down Jonathan subsidy removal suddenly lost their voice.
Should I tell you another secret.
It will be difficult for the nation to unite against any president from the three major tribe due to tribalism

Light up my weed with anger while I stake some football games this morning

Go and start the revolution in your backward region.

The one your greedy ancestors initiated in January, 1966 was one sided.

This is the reason you see them throwing parties upon parties, going to different religious places for thanksgiving when they're appointed in any office.

Bunch of rogues.

The only time you have ever condemned an APC leader that is in Tinubu's camp.

I know its because she's igbo and a Christian.

So the constitution said but this too will swept under the carpet since the rulers see themselves as one family while the Nigerian masses see themselves as Ab0ki-, Af0nja, & Flát heads.

honestly speaking

These guys are being paid in millions as salary and allowances. Yet, they keep stealing billions upon billions. They refused to pay those poor masses their meagre 30k 9 months outstanding stipend. Why is this country like this please? They want the masses to die. The beneficiaries should better enter the street and demand for their outstanding stipend to be paid once with immediate effect
.... sometimes I wonder how these people sleep at night

The mere fact the person is the project accountant that even makes it more suspicious and open to fraud. Accountant !!! Who will account for the money when it has gone directly to him.
Let him show how the money was spent and how the funds were channeled out of his account

that is very untrue. there are laws or policies (in the private sector) guiding accounting practice and an accountant ought not pay just anything just because he is not an auditor. the law in civil service regarding payment reads thus:

"Section 713 of the law states, “Personal money shall in no circumstances be paid into a government bank account, nor shall any public money be paid into a private bank account. An officer who pays public money into a private account is deemed to have done so with fraudulent intention.”

the accountant general is bound by that law and is bound to uphold by questioning any request brought to his desk and refusing to honour that request if it does not conform to the law. if the accountant honours that request despite it contravening the law, the he is guilty of fraud

Do you know what they called Giffmis?

Those useless politicians are paying some of the poor masses to defend them in public, be it social media, amongst friends, family members et al. They also used POVERTY as a tool. You know an hungry man can do anything just to have something to eat. They can also buy them easily during election period because they're poor and hungry. They also used ethnicity, religion amongst many others.

Division will not outrightly solve our problems in this country, but it will reduce it very much.

Even if Edu ask the accountant general to pay money into a private account, the accountant general should have tell her such a thing is not possible. I think the two of them needs to go.

There's no sane explanation the minister or the attorney general can give for willingly breaking Nigerian laws.

J agree there's no sane explanation .... but disagree they should be let go. They need to be charged .... as stated ... it is illegal to do so .... they did so ... they need to be arrested and charged .... then they can explain in court. When caught... the most that happens they are fired.. and leave smiling all the way to the bank.
