Dislodge in the morning, then send your boys to give them ticket to sell in the evening

If government really want to stop this, arrest those boys that collect money for tickets from them... That way, they'll know you're serious with the dislodgement

Lame excuses....

They should politely tell foolish people displaying their goods on the road?
So because they can't afford to rent a shop, they should be selling on major roads abi?

If I say Nigerians are the problem of Nigerian.
These people selling items on the road, are causing massive gridlock on our roads, aside that we waste quality productive time with these sellers who have zero regards to pedestrians.

Kai officials are also one the problem. They levy these sellers on weekly payment otherwise they would have desist from shading their market on pedestrian.

Hygienically, it's so wrong to expose edibles by road sides. You will see food like garri, salts sugar etc being exposed to dust and we av food regulating agencies in Nigeria.

Kai human are wicked.

Lagos state need to go tough on all these fellow. You will see these people abandoned the main market building to shade on the main road.

But you see agberos stand in front of vehicles for long period of time demanding for money, they don't cause "massive gridlock".

Where are those people that collect money from them ?
They also need to be fished out NOW!

Exactly my point, God bless you for this... Arrest those that issue tickets to them and deal with them... Those guys issue tickets to even barrow pushers

In Iyana-Ipaja, they now make use of women to collect money for tickets

I don't get why Nigerians do this. I expect that with our level of education we should know better.

You can't always make excuses for this ills. If them comot agbero, crime go plenty.

If dem ban Okada, crime go plenty . They did and what happened?

So, the government shouldn't do what is right? If a ban affects one, the next thing is to start having ill and negative thoughts? You want to use that to justify crime . Well, once caught, it's Gulag straight. Such excuses don't and will never make sense

How many Nigerians are educated? Even the so called educated display all kinda folishness online. Imagine, the lame excuses.

What kind of PRIMITIVE THINKING is this? All this methods of selling are archaic and it's no longer practiced in the advanced countries we want to be like. If you want to sell, go and get a space in a market and sell your wares there. Lagos is a forward-thinking state and loves to set the pace. In this age, many people now sell their wares and do deliveries through social media. I just got a brand new wardrobe yesterday and didnt need to visit any market. I saw the one I liked on Facebook marketplace, ordered it and it was delivered to me same day in Lagos through Glovo dispatch rider. I dont know what THE SELLER looks like, I only spoke to her on phone. THE WORLD IS MOVING FORWARD, we cant afford to remain in the 20th century.

LAGOS STATE GOV’T SEIZES GOODS DISPLAYED BY TRADERS ALONG HIGHWAY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJjsvl5e574

Posting the video online, the state Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, said they have severally warned that traders should desist from displaying or selling things on the walkway, setbacks or main road. It defaces the city and majorly for people's safety.

Early Friday, Special operatives of KAI again dislodged street traders operating on Agege Motor road, Old Secretariat GRA Ikeja, Awolowo way, Alausa Secretariat, Agidingbi Jakande road inward LTV 8, Ojodu Berger, Fagba road."

Somebody collected money from those people.
Build a market and show people how it should be maintained. There are open markets abroad with adequate facilities to cater for people who prefer home grown stuff to chemical grown pepper. 🌶️ etc.
people with a certain income will flock there to patronize.

Such display of wares along the road is the main cause of congestion and it's bad. Motorists are compelled to park their vehicles in order to buy their goods.
The government should create a drive in open malls for the traders.

That is why nigeria need local government autonomy... where local government will have sufficient money to develop the LGA areas villages communities which will make people to stay in their developed village, communities and do bussiness and other jobs which it will reduce rural urban migration and people moving to cities

so the alternative to crime is to sell things on the road as against governments directive not to do so?

how much is a shop sir? How do u expect someone selling on a wheelbarrow to pay shop rent?

That shouldn't be an excuse to display wares along express, jeopardizing other people's safety by congesting the road.
If a vehicle lost control now,it will crush those traders immediately.
So those displaying their wares along the express are putting their own lifes and the lifes of motorists in danger just because they want to make ends.
Sure, things are quite hards recently, but that shouldn't be an excuse.
I hope you understand?
