Solution to this is birth control. I am talking from experience. I used to have menstrual cramps so painful that I’d literally crawl on the ground. You most likely have endometriosis but it’s only known for sure after a laparoscopic surgery. If left untreated, it may cause problems for you in the future. Those problems include fertility issues or sometime the blood may shift & attach to other parts. If for instance it attaches to the lungs, every month when you have your period, the tissue on the lungs will also bleed causing the lungs to collapse every month. See a gynecologist. They may put you on the pill or depo shot to completely stop you from having a period. The dizziness is caused by iron deficiency from the heavy bleeding. Start taking iron tablets & iron rich diet. Make sure you see the doctor because anemia will cause you fatigue and other issues. The theory of pain disappearing after child birth is a far fetched story without scientific evidence.

Im also not sexually active like u. Mine used to be really bad that my madam at the office had to sack me cos every month i must take permission not to go to work. I tried everything tryable!. But something surprised me.Braggs Apple cider vinegar works wonder. i was on it for the whole month,my period came and went without one single pain. But i doubt if we still have original again in this country.

I will like to correct somethings u said . taking ginger with kunu can never give the full benefit u need from ginger alone cos you should avoid things like kunu, excess milk diary product, too much beef, SUGAR instead buy stevia. Taking oil that doesn't have transfat . Secondly the bleeding you said extended while on levofem is called spotting and its normal with birth pill. My sister take it seriously cos i had to do a laparoscopy for endometriosis after LUTH was the only hospital that understood what i was going tru. Most doctors dont know much about it.Trust me you don't want it to get to my level. From My research so far ,not much is known about endometriosis so no cure for now. But can be managed. Eliminating things you don't need the sure way ESPECIALLY SUGAR! . I have to add that i visited scoan for prayers and that pain stopped. Was a miracle tho.

I tried using birth control pills ( levofem) on someones recommendation last year but it got worse and extended my flow for almost two weeks non stop. So I stopped.

Don't try birth control pills. Those drugs will just scatter your normal arrangements, you know, distort a lot of things and it can wreak havoc when you are finally ready to give birth.

Cramps were my thing way back. Everybody knows when I'm on. Teachers always send me back home cause I was useless coming to class. Then in the university, I miss lectures on my cramp days cause I couldn't cope. Many times, I land in the hospital just because of cramps. My mum really suffered in my hands.

Your twin is right. When you give birth, cramp diminishes. That works like magic.

Well some people belong to that school of thought that if you are sexually active, cramps will automatically reduce to the barest minimal amount.
I know cause my mum's friends always tell her she should be happy my cramps were severe, that it was a sign that I was still chaste and don't philander upandan.
I don't believe it though as there's no science backing up the claim.

I found this funny. Dysmenorrhea is no joke though. So sorry. A friend of mine during our youth service days had the same issue. Drinking stout was her own remedy. Perhaps you should give it a shot if you are open to drinking alcohol. She took it in small sips. One bottle usually lasted her the entire cycle.

Hibiscus leaves tea, aka SOBOLO

Heat water to boiling point,
Turn off the fire
Add hibiscus leaves
Cover for 15 to 20 mins
DO NOT ADD SUGAR

Have you tried to swallow a few cloves of garlic? I used to have menstrual cramps but now it stops with the help of garlic.

Also, stay away from sugary things.

It even reduces your flow. If it is heavy it makes it light and from 5 days it can even be 3 days.

The only thing you need to do is to make sure you take it 2 days before your period till you are done. You won't complain any longer.
