A cleaner in Canada can make about 60k Canadian dollar per year. That's about 36 million naira per year. Not to mention this particular cleaning job comes with benefits and a government pension plan for your old age. I know of cleaners personally who made over 100k dollars with overtime

Cleaners are so rich that means bank managers, factory managers, plant directors in Canada are all billionaires, isn't it?

No vex. It'd pain me too if I found out an ordinary cleaner in Canada lives better than 99% of the country.

You and these you imaginary friends. Lmao.

Ask your friend what's the GDP per Capita of Canada and check for Nigeria.

Also check how many countries you can access with Canadian passport (Canadian passport can work for US company by the way) and compare to Nigeria.

That's not the point. The point is comparing a country with GDP of capita of about 45,000 USD to 2000 USD is insane.

A country where 130 million people are living in multi dimensional poverty.

These are core student loan companies open to nigerians: mpower, prodigyfinance

They have a list of courses they support across various countries. So not just UK, also look at courses across USA and Europe on their list.

There used to be a thread for mpower on nairaland years back, try check for it.

Lastly have a good credit score in nigeria.

You can check for it for free using the carbon app

I don't understand.
mpower/prodigy finance gives out loan for travel purposes?

Carbon and other online apps can't give out the kind of loan needed for Japa.

You know any loan that properties can be used as collateral can't be below millions.

Why is everyone going to the US and UK it still boggle my mind.

Unhealthy foods plus big pharma push for drug for everyone should make anyone with means to stop going to the US or UK.

Why not country like Sweden or dermark...

Free country where sucralose potassium acesulfame and aspartame is banned.

If you're in the us do a small survey.

Call any of your friends and ask them of cancer rate... It's true the roof.

If friend Austin in Texas was complaining to me now that to shake people sef na wahala chemo treatment everywhere.

If you want to go abroad please find a country that big pharma is not indirectly controlling.

Here's how to know.

Check their election spending if big pharma is bankrolling the politicians like in US UK and new Zealand you're in for a shoker.

I dey Uganda dey live like the next messiah fresh food, clean unpolluted air and lots of sight seeing.

Citizenship sure for me next year... I wan use two stone kill one bed.

Get Uganda passport and Gambia passport.

Gambia has a program for investors willing to start business there.

Carpe Verde also has a money for citizenship deal but nothing dey there apart from their strong passport.

Ordinary to pass from Uganda to Rwanda (just like from Nigeria to Togo) dem go single you out once you flash your green passport.

If to say I no sabi the language of the military (Swahili) na so them go dey use me shine.

If you're coming to an African country make sure say you get something doing.

In life you have winners, then loser. I literally gave you a link. If your wife can't package her experience, do some networking, to get into that 6 figure bracket who's fault is that ? Should I provide further proof ?

The world is dealing with inflation, paying rent, and other expenses. What's your point ? These blue collar jobs are not that difficult to get. It's that most new arrivals have too much pride to do them. Furthermore, why shouldn't new arrivals struggle ? Do they expect to be prime Minister once they land ?

I don't need your proof. A cleaner cannot make 100k in Canada. Stop the liars. My wife is at a senior level in her profession, and not everybody makes above 100k as salary. Only less than 20% of people living in Canada today make above 100k per year, and jobs are currently difficult in Canada, even factory jobs or cleaning positions. Stop all this sugar-coated talk and speak the truth. This type of false narration is leading our youth to arrive in Canada with fake hope and be disappointed or stranded. I guess you are a travel agent just stylishly finding a way to recruit customers!

You must be taking premium weed. A country where you can pick a car with 0% or 5% deposit for houses.

Bring the statistics that shows higher % of nigerians own cars and house than people in any western country. Notwithstanding that many are driving cars produce 20 years ago and houses that may only qualify as poulty farms in some other countries

You don't need my proof because whatever is in your foolish head must be facts ? Typical Nigerian baboon. You can make over 100k easily with overtime with blue collar jobs. Whether you're a government bus driver, custodian, etc. Get off the internet and go learn how to hustle in Canada. If your wife is in senior level and doesn't make 6 figures, she's not smart. Then again you're the head of the household so I understand the ignorance in your household.

I wish to add something to this discusion as a person currently in canada From the way you write and share information, it appears you're an aggressive, uneducated thug, potentially upset about Nigeria and making false claims about Canada just to justify nigeria is bad and canada is paradise . Firstly, your statement that managers earning less than 100k aren't smart is insulting to many educated Nigerians facing challenges in their pursuit of financial success due to limited job opportunities in canada. Comparing a city bus driver's job to a non-professional job earning above 100k shows a lack of understanding of the requirements for each role. You Mentioning a building engineering job with city council that are very hard to get, with many registered engineers earning less than 100k, highlights the challenges in the job market. It's important to grow beyond childish behavior and consider anger management. I recall justwise, the forum admin, correcting you previously for outbursts without proper research. Stating that cleaners earn 100k may mislead newcomers, especially when many are struggling to secure any job in Canada currently. Showing your message to a newcomer led them to suggest a psychoevaluation due to the perceived mix of anger and false information in your points. And to those considering moving to Canada, please do your research and avoid sentimental, unprofessional sweet-talker advice like this man because some regret relocating to Canada following a physiopath adviser like this man..do not assume all job posted online is real or avaliable..many will not even reply you. Maybe this sweet talker should create a group and start connecting many nigerian looking for job becos is creating a false narration how easy to get a job in canada

See grammar. Your post is filled with insults and lies which I never said. You are the one who seems frustrated in life, and it's showing. I'm simply stated facts and provided links. I'm educating people coming to Canada how to hustle efficiently. In short, remove whatever ideology you have in Nigeria when you arrive in Canada. To clear up some of your lies:

1. The poster said its impossible for a cleaner to make 6 figures. I said that's not true. Government employee cleaners in Canada can make 6 figures GROSS. I posted several links. If his wife has experience as a supervisor/ manager in that field and hasn't packaged herself well, in order to make that salary, that is on her. But I stand corrected, he's ignorant.

2. Stop your grammar. They're hiring city bus driver's. Go and apply and make a good salary. The other job was a building service attendant. NOT a building engineer. Basically a fancy way of saying a cleaner. Those jobs you can make 6 figures gross as I posted the link. It doesn't highlight any issues in the job market. It highlights the typical egotistical Nigerian who's more focused on job title, than what makes sense. In Canada, nobody cares what your profession is. Nobody will hail you because you're an X. Go and make the money and stop being insecure about what your job title is.

3. You are misleading people. Maybe because you're frustrated as you have failed in life ? I'm simply telling people who come to Canada to look at blue-collar jobs. They pay well and are attainable. They're definitely easier to get than these white collar jobs and usually pay more with less stress. Again, how I'm I misleading people when I've shown proof ?

4. To people coming from naija. Don't listen to these frustrated losers. FORGET EVERYTHING YOU'VE LEARNED WHEN HUSTLING IN NAIJA. No job is below you in the west. If the job pays well and makes sense, TAKE IT. Everyone is equally here. Whether a garbage man or a bank. EVERY profession is respected here. Don't be like these frustrated clowns who refuse to take a 6 figure bus driving job because of what someone in their village across the ocean will think. Instead of crying on nairaland about the job market, take that bus driving job. I've said my own.

And you think calling somebody's wife 'not smart' because they're not hiring for a six-figure job is not an insult? You need to grow up. Firstly, do you know how difficult it is to get a government job in Canada, especially when most are on one-year contracts? And do you really think government and private companies pay the same wage scale for the same job? Also, what percentage of the workforce is employed by the government on full-time contracts? I think because you've lived in Canada for over 15 years, you've lost touch with reality and the current economic and job situation. And you also think it's easy to get a city bus job? Come on, let people who have recently arrived here tell us. How many of them have been employed? Nobody is rejecting any job, but the current reality is that jobs are currently limited in Canada. Even citizens, residents, and students are struggling to find jobs. I think you need to make a more intelligent argument and be in touch with the current reality. I have said it before and I'll say it again... open a group and ask 20 people to send their resumes, then get a job for them, and only then will we take you seriously. Not all this ranting online, at least you're above 50 years old.

Go and sit down. You saw my insults, but you didn't see his ? I was insulted and called a liar. I replied appropriately. Now to address your excuses. My people, take a mental note of all the excuses this man is making. These are the people who are unsuccessful in Canada. Then they come on nairaland to complain.

1. I just provided a link to the transit agency looking to hire FULL-TIME PERNAMENT candidates. Did you apply yet ? Why are you here talking about contract this, contract that ? Now you're talking about the percentage of people hired on government contracts. Again, HAVE YOU APPLIED FOR THIS JOB YET ?

2. Now you claimed I've been here for 15 years ? Because I'm successful, and immediately changed the way I think ? Because I was smart enough to realize you can't think like a Nigerian in Canada ?

3. I was actually able to introduce someone who just landed less than a year ago to one of my guys. He was able to get him this exact transit job which would pay him this 6 figures with overtime. From there he could transfer internally to other jobs within the city. But like most egotistical bafoons who just landed from Nigeria, he said "I no fit do am ooo". "Me drive danfo ? Haba". So he's now doing a harder job, for minimum wage, and no benefits. He claims at least nobody will see him, as this lower paying job is an inside job. I'm sure this is your reality, hence why you're frustrated.

4. This man wants 20 people to send me their resume, and get them a job. When I've provided the link to the transit agency, where they can apply. Should I wipe their yansh too ?

5. Don't dash me 50. I'm not that old. My people you have seen it. Those who come from naija and are unsuccessful, are usually the whining, excuses making, ignorant people. Sure you'll struggle when you get here, but you must educate yourself about the system, and drop your pride. Don't be like these two unsuccessful men who cry like women. Once he realized he was wrong, he went straight to making excuses. Instead of apologizing, saying no vex. I guarantee you he hasn't even applied to the transit job yet. He's busy trying to become the next Prime Minister of Canada.
