He was smart and took advantage of the TB which affected not too good or overpriced stocks.Nothing is wrong with oando. If you have the shares, hold and keep praying.
no I don't have Oando and I'm not blaming him he sold o....I only noticed the way and manner he was shouting buy buy buy until seeing today he has sold....well, Newbies should be careful of taking investment advice here without DUE diligence...

You are right somehow if you add div plus capital appreciation. I do TB not really as investment. I see as savings accounts that I use the interest to run daily expenses instead of using my principal. It is bond I see as investment into the future likewise shares.I only do TB when interest is from 17 % up.

Those quick fingers, the sentiments. Thats what we all fear. No one knows how far they will fall thise shares.
I watched my UBA and Access fall from 30 to 25 and the serious impact it had on my portfolio. I had to sell half of it and port to Nascon which is far cheaper than Dangflour. I
Atleast if dangfoods comes on, whatever loss will be recovered. I have heard people suggest 350, 200 etc as target price for dangfood. But 150 is my target. if e reach 150 I will be satisfied, my banking stocks together with their dividends will not give me same returns by that time.

See how this thing work.
If you point or suggest a stock,I will check it out especially if it matches my investment criteria.
1. Figures
2. Small free floats
3. Board members
4. Shareholding structure

I will draw my own entry price.
I will also draw my exit price.

I don't allow anyone to detect price for me.

You can as well do yours and save yourself stress

God bless you ma. If they are screaming red, red, those of us who are tired of gathering money for brokers have the right to scream bull, bull.... You're doing a great job. Nothing do you. Another thing I've noticed about you is that you have now developed a thick skin here, where trying to trample on some gentle soul by some neo-feudalists is the order of the day. In Nigeria, people will force you to develop a thick skin and fight-back emotions.

Interesting days ahead. Waiting for the outcome of the MPC meeting slated for this month..

February will be bearish.

If you don't have staying power or stocks that are expected to pay bumper dividends, it is advisable to book profit from stocks that have given you good returns in the past 6 months and buy back sometimes in May.

As a matter of fact most of my margin loans are targeted towards May, June and July

Is it because of mpc likely hood to increase rates and TB.I beg to disagree. The bull will continue this month and beyond. I will never agree on any bear coming. IF you have sold or wish to sell which is alright. I don't want to sell just like some others because i and others I don't have any reason to do so.The bull was not activated because of rates and will not go down because of rates/TB.

Did anyone ask u to come to the party late.why should I calculate my dividend yield base on when you bought or the present price. And how about the companies that will not even pay dividend for the yr.
The bull will continues till 2025 till when thr will be clear indication this government has failed. For now they are work in progress....I remain street credible

Exactly!
For instance, UBA that we were shouting here @8, rose up to 34 or so, how many % yield was that?

You know, why I made thst post was the fact that they were tagging bear to the present situation in the market. Did anyone of them forsee TB yield @19/23% before?
It was a situation brought about by NEWS! Which the SA has been hammering on here as well........that, it's not only TA/FA that dictates the direction of the market but SA also has significant role to play........but, after they all sold with +100/200% gain or more, there's the need for them to re-enter the market at cheaper prices again, so the good excuse to use was TB rate.

We all know Bear will come, Bull will come but at their respective times.......
Towards last year November I think, some were shouting bear but Mr. Bull did otherwise.....and the bull kept firing on to enter 2024.......we no hear pim from them again.
