Oando is a huge puzzle. Anyone wishing to cash in really big must be bold and willing to wait for the long haul.
The fact that some new group of shareholders are challenging the earlier plan to delist in court is indicative and suggests that either the delisting fails totally or the offer price of N7.07 is increased significantly increased to compensate shareholders. What matters at the end is for investors to make gain on their investments, whether delisting or not
An upstream oil company selling at <N15.00 is potentially a ''steal'' for bargain hunters.

See how this thing work.
If you point or suggest a stock,I will check it out especially if it matches my investment criteria.
1. Figures
2. Small free floats
3. Board members
4. Shareholding structure

I will draw my own entry price.
I will also draw my exit price.

I don't allow anyone to detect price for me.

You can as well do yours and save yourself stress

Bro, why do you prefer small free float to high free float? I believe large free float allows for less volatility of price which is good.
About the share holding structure, what do you watch out for? The major share holders dumping the stock or acquiring more?

Can you mention some stocks that you think can give a dividend yield of 10% and above.

I think gtb and zenith gives around 10% dividend

How did you come to that conclusion?

Their prices now are higher than what they used to be. It's only when they release audited FY result we'd know the Dividend Yield.

Hello all, Please any particular reason why MRS is still at 126 for weeks now despite active trading activities? What could be the reason it isn't rising or even dropping, seems sketchy.

Is the index an accurate reflection/representation of market price movements at the moment? With very few stocks having very strong influence on the ASI, and the other stocks having little influence on the index, the loss of roughly 25% in many stocks has hardly been reflected in the changes to the index.

That story of the tortoise and the mermaid whereby the tortoise was roasting and eating baby fishes, but always showing a well-marked fish as an indicator of an ongoing good job comes to mind. We fit dey see plenty fine caps but no head dey under dem - inaccurate census. I hope for positives too - the profit some of us were hoping to book never came embarassed

Investment one is very bad, sorry to quote you, I am switching to a fintech broker like as soon as I am done correcting the phone number on my bvn. Imagine investment one charging me N600 on N6,000 shares I bought...the cost has even eroded all capital appreciation I may get.

If you value your money and do not want to enrich stock brokerage firms, I repeat ,if every kobo is important to you.
Open your brokerage account with Morgan Capital Securities or Atlas. They charge 0.5% and 0.6% respectively.

Others charge1.35% brokerage commission, which cost you NGN13,500 on NGN1M, while Morgan Capital Securities cost you less @0.5% per buying or selling. I.e NGN 5,000 on N1m per trade on Morgan,
N6,000 @ Atlas. This saves you N8,500 or N7,500.
This is the first step in creating evergreen wealth on NGX.
They both have good platforms that a New onboarder can navigate @ease.

@dayjeee I guess you don't understand how it works. Investment One and any brokerage firm can't charge more than the regulatory fees, it's automated as stipulated by the regulators. They strictly operate in compliance with the rule of engagement in the capital market. I'm sure they can never charge you that much. No transaction gets up to a 10% charge on any consideration.
Please be well guided.

Thank you.

@emma
Your firm need to toe the step of Morgan capital securities and bring the brokerage fee to 0.5% from d current 1.35%.
This is the only way you can get recommendation.
I can't remember how many people I refer to Morgan and Atlas weekly.
1.35% is NO, NO, NO,NO, NO. It drives me away from Investment One. It kills Investment.
It reduces units
It reduces profit
It discourage new onboarders.
I have a NASD portfolio that is domiciled with Investment One, I'm on the verge of transferring same to a commission friendly broker.(Atlas)
It would have been a thing of joy to patronise Investment One on account of your participation on this platform.
Cheers @ emmasoft
Happy weekend.

Log into Morgan capital and check your portfolio. Compare the total asset value and net realizable. You should see that it is 1.26%. this is when you sell.

But when you are buying, it is around 0.93%

Above are total deductions including commission, CSCS,vat, sms charges and Sec

Do that now and prove me wrong

He was talking of Brokerage commission only.
Morgan B.commission =.50%
Investment one B. commission = 1.35%

All other changes remain the same for all brokers because it is fixed. Therefore Morgan is cheaper.

At the end investment on buy is close to 2% for buy and sell above 2% ....not good for jijo

You are adding other taxes.
From my last purchase, Morgan still charge 0.5% as brokerage commission.
You can negotiate for 0.25% to 0.4% if your portfolio is worth 9 figures.
