There's a procedure for white wedding. One is where the clergy will ask, "is there anyone against this marriage, come forward".

If you don't like the process, go for traditional wedding or any wedding that doesn't give room for such.

That is true. I had that same conversation with a female friend 3 days ago. Women who make more money than their spouses/boyfriends tend to be more domineering. There are exceptions though such as Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Alakija, Bola Shagaya etc. However, my point still remains that our mentality of being providers tends to attract gold diggers and liabilities not only from Nigeria but other parts of the world.
