I know this place in owerri, it didn't start today, there are many of them in owerri. One at works layout and two along that Douglas road. But you have to understand that not all of these people are gamblers. Some are unhoused and homeless so they use the betting shop as sleeping ground 12 Likes |

CoronaVirusPro: Oga your comparison is baseless at best. First if all what is the unemployment rate on Nigeria. What is the income per capita of Nigerians, how is our purchasing power faring? All these point out to the fact all is indeed not well with Nigeria. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Those youths you see there, only God can redeem them, they are lost forever. Even if they make good money, still they won't invest it wisely cause they know nothing about investments. There's one in my side I learnt he won 2.3 million, that day he spent more than 400k playing more and buying drinks for his fellow gamblers, he bought Jincheng motorcycles 750k for cruising (we call it ruber ruber here in the north). He also bought iPhone 12 just to belong, bought phone too for his girlfriend, learnt he gave his mum 150k. This young man am talking about isn't above 18yrs, all that money is gone, he has sold that motorcycle to someone for 450k, the person didn't pay completely, paying installmentally, he collets the money playing and hoping to win again. 14 Likes |

This is a reflection of the choice these guys have made and has nothing to do with Nigeria. These are able bodies young men who do not want to work but looking for easy way to make money without sweating. Are there not hawkers on our roads in this economy going home with thousands of naira of gain at the end of each day. This is LAZINESS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN YOUTH INCORPORATED. Wake up! 5 Likes 1 Share |

God1000: Go to the US, Las Vegas to be precise. Every hotels....I repeat, every hotels have casinos where people bets per second. So these youths you are referring to already have mindset to hit it big...fast money via betting...and they do not mind how long they sleep on the floor to achieve this. This is the same way Taylor 88 think. Even if you give them work todo, they will not. This has little to do with hardship. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Nobody has explained what took place here, how can the whole youths in a community came and be lying down and sleeping in a betting shop ? Haba ! I don't think they can do that, some of these guys have pride in them and even the betting shop owner wouldn't allow such in his shop. We will soon hear what took place. 3 Likes |

Believeintruth: It’s well with Nigeria. We do have our setbacks, and aiming towards greatness, just like any other country. Using the troubled and homeless to justify our state is baseless and void. Why didn’t he pick Obi Cubanna to justify how great Nigeria happens to be. But quick to use people’s predicaments to portray a “Whole” country. 3 Likes |

We may actually get solutions to our problems just may be if we stop blame games. Gambler has been gambling even before Nigeria independent so blaming government on this is mischievous. These people are only lazy, rain has started already, go to farm at worst and I'm telling you by the time you suffer for some months , you go begin to thank God 1 Like |
