All the Yahoo boys in this thread be talking nonsense and misleading the public. Because your friend change dollar and be showing off doesn't mean he got paid legitly, even I have earn $3,000 from yahoo pay, but did I earn such the following month? No.
Tech my asshole and be encouraging frauds

Different people have tried help your ignorance about earning in Nigeria, you rather attack them instead of taking corrections.
People earn 5mil in Nigeria monthly and I mean young guys n girls in finance, tech, oil and gas etc.
Percentage might be very small but they are in their thousands. They remote ones earning in Nigeria will even cross 10million monthly with the present dollar rate.
You should change your circle if everyone around you is just like you and pray more for grace. Cos you will never grow with this mindset.

i can understand,

I wouldn't know if £550 how many people would earn such amount or how much that amount would be worth in Naigeeria, i was just curious on why you didn't mentioning you pay bills, rent and travel atleast, and if you own a vehicle you would buy petrol also. I know that petrol may not take a huge amount but the money still comes outta yours wages. Even now you still haven't minused feeding cost, weekly feeding thesedays you d be looking at atleast 50 quid a week for a single person. Let alone folk like us who has children.

You think only Naigeerians or foreigners flips Burgers? I was born and bred in East London, i flipped Burgers in Burger King, cleaned the toilets and tables in Burger king, did washing ups the trays also when i was 18, I also stalked shelfs in Tescos, I was a Bin man for some years, So work is work, i don't know why some Naigeerians sees work as something to be ashamed of, every job is important and respected in the UK, everyone can not be a doctor, a lawyer, a computer technician, an IT worker or a proffessor. It would be ignorant to think so.

Some people actually do like their menial jons they do and it isn't always about money, maybe it is all about money for Naigeerians only.

Here in Nigeria, they draw the line between jobs. And the stereotype is in built so we just try to emanicipate ourselves from mental slavery

Misery loves company.

In Nigeria, some people are doing so well, they are successful in their fields. In the abroad, people are doing so well, they don't have time for sorry story. They get up and succeed. Why do you think it is lonely at the top It's because many people give up on their way to the top. That's why it looks like it is difficult to find successful people. They are so busy with maintaining their success, you will have to find them to interview them. The ones that are not successful will be whining about life. Life is what you give to it.

I am in the United States and all these things you listed happens everyday. People who have spent 40 years or more in prison for crimes they did not commit. Allowing LGBT+ peeps to lecture kids in schools. Blocking road for festives is common here too. So what are you talking about. Police kill innocent people in their homes, random shooting of people in public places etc. What culture are you on about. USA public school system is presently one of the worse in the world. Several parents are sending their kids to Boarding schools in Nigeria. Even Trump is currently facing corruption charges. Here churches are being financed on a multi million dollars level. I have up to 6 churches within 4 miles of my home. What are you talking about?
I ma more scared here for my children than Nigeria.
In Nigeria I live in an Estate with 24 hrs electricity. I have solar panels. My children attend good private schools. Here the private schools are beyond my reach while the public schools are nothing to write home about. Many people are home schooling their kids. Kids cannot step out of their homes cos of kidnappers. Every single day kids are being kidnapped. In Nigeria, my kids can walk in our estate without any fear. Here, any mad guy can just shoot you for no reason. What da f.. are you talking about.
Rest joo. What stvpid culture is here?
No culture is better than my Yoruba culture of contentment, respect and love of family! None!
Even to get a doctor appointment here is a struggle. People are going back to Nigeria to get quality treatment for less money. Guy stop living in fantasy!

Not sure why you decided to go south after reading a clearly worded statements. I mean is lawlessness a good culture? celebrating a gov who built a thing with our tax money a good culture? Is “pepper them” mentality and behavior a good culture? Blocking public roads because of an event, a good culture? Not been accountable as an elected leader, a good culture? Been randomly picked by police as an accomplice or because you are just around a situation-ship and you must part with money unreceipted or go jail that the individual will “rotten”, a good culture? Been scared to report a bad behavior or even assist a victim of road accident so that no one tags you as the cause, a good culture? Is praying for safe roads trip a good culture? The loud noise by people at worships places, a good culture? Is producing food and other items with full knowledge that they are substandard and could kill the consumers a good culture? Abetting and aiding evil people and leaders, a good culture? Arbitrariness with prices, policies, et el, a good culture? Carrying everything on one’s head all in the name of religion but to only discover that you were been f00lish when you have only spent a week in saner countries, a good culture? You need more reminders?as you are feigning knowledge of what we are going through here in this 9ja

For your hilarious mind, you have converted what you are earning in the UK or US to naira and feel you are better off than someone earning 2 million naira per month in Nigeria.

He has less bills to pay, which means he can save more.

You have more bills to pay, which means you can save less.

Western world is more expensive to live than Nigeria.

Each country pays according to the country's inflationary rate. If UK or US for instance pays Nigeria's wages, it will not be enough for their employees, and if UK or US salary is paid in Nigeria, inflation will finish Nigeria totally.

Errr....
No
I save wayyy more than when I was in corporate Nigeria right now
I cut my coat according to my cloth
And used my common sense

As long as you are not putting one leg here and one leg in Nigeria, and you are not spending on frivolities
Constant working; savings, investment and ficus over a 5 year period will place you in a place where most of the peers we left behind in Nigeria can only dream of

I have met people here doing super well for themselves eg a lovely couple that sages between themselves over 1250 every month
