I just have had my fair share of oversabi guys around me.
Just recently, a friend wey dey always criticize me for spending on my pikin mama dem rented a business space in Lekki, along admiralty way for his side chick. This one get wife for house o. He furnished the place and I'm sure the werey is still the one paying for her house. I look am and swia for am, the mumu dey laff telling me nonsense like: I just don't know why I like this girl.

If you see eye wey I look am? I dey too lazy to dey worry about another person life but the girl knows how to cook more than his wife, any day, I go pick her food over his wife's. That I must confess...

My friend is gone... Love don hold am for throat.... SMH

They already do in civilised countries, it has to be said. I tire for Naija. So much brilliance and potential but some terrible mentalities along the way to boot. In places like the U.K., you have to work. Periodt. You can’t go abroad only to be a financial liability. And unfortunately ladies with this mentality are the same ones who’ll want to JAPA. SMH. People wanting freedom but none of the responsibilities that come with it. Our great-grandmothers may not have worked in the conventional sense (and our great-grandfathers only barely in the first place, in that-very conventional sense), but they were farmers, traders and fit to raise 10 kids. They weren’t doing nothing sitting with fake Brazilian weave after weave, chewing gum and waiting to be fed. A lot of these girls can’t even cook indomie, let-alone a soup with almighty shades of okporoko in it. That’s not what being a housewife means, even if that is the path they want for themselves.
