To all the Veterans in the house, this is me saying thank you and God bless you. I picked up my visa yesterday at the German embassy.

I was interviewed on the 4th of September and I sent a reminder email to the VO (the nice Chinese looking Lady) who interviewed me on the 30th. She replied with the usual Alien issue delay and I held my peace. On the 10th of October (My fifth week running) I felt led to send a reminder email to the VO basically to find out how far and to inform her that my lectures were starting on Monday the 13th and I had several deadlines to meet up with, to God be the glory she replied me saying my visa was ready to be issue and to come with the travel insurance and all.

To all those who are waiting for the good news, my prayer for you is that your expectation shall not be cut short.
To all freshers in the house, my suggestion would be that you read as much as you can on this thread and empower yourself with the adequate knowledge you need to succeed because knowledge indeed is power.
To all those who are currently facing one challenge or the other, nothing good comes easy. Trust in God and forge ahead because all these are just ingredients to make your story sweeter.

Wish you all the very best of God in your respective careers, let's make Nigeria proud and contribute our own quota to repairing the damaged image we have in the face of the international community because I believe in the New Nigeria that we would build; Good People, Great Nation.

Shalom!!!!

Thanks for the information bro. I have taken my time to draft a letter of appeal and sent to them this morning explaining the circumstances surrounding one of the expired visas and stamps. I had to explain that it was the visa agent that did it and not me as I was not the one who applied for the South African visa in the first place but my agent. Whatever it is, I have already put it to God in prayers. Its not a do or die thing like you said and I know my hands are clean but being held liable as its my passport, not the agent's.

I will keep the house informed as to the progress of the appeal as soon as I hear from them in due course
Yes, while you are at it put the agents phone number and contact address on the letter. Just look at what he is making you go through

esdajo, God will see you through, while you are reporting the agent's deed in your letter, try as much as possible to feign ignorance on the consequences and implications of the stamp and state that you didn't know what the stamps meant, that you just paid for their services since they are registered and are 'professionals' in that field. So that they won't also think you consented to it.

@Kunlelikeme, were you able to get the sponsorship letter corrected or what happened later, please elaborate o. We have a similar case as regards the letter.

tosdbal4real, thank God for the testimony......Go and succeed.

I'm still in serious prayers my brothers and sisters. The hour ticks fast, the day is approaching and God is my only hope....
But am not giving up the fight. Please I will need someone who knows the step by step process of getting the sponsorship letter to put me through. My sponsor still insist that the thing takes months to get just like the last one he got. In case, you didn't follow my previous posts, My sponsorship letter was rejected by the embassy because of an error in the period of stay written and convincing my sponsor that the process doesn't take long to get another one is becoming so hard even for a good negotiator like me. I need help fast....

Well, while I sink fast in a quicksand, shouting for help, let me see if I can raise some people's hopes with this juicy rumour, if I did go down eventually. This is for prospective Bsc students in Germany with WAEC only. A virtual friend who was at the embassy yesterday met someone who got admission in a German university through Uni assist with WAEC result alone. He went into a heated argument with the 'claimant', and she proved beyond every reasonable doubt that the case was true. Juicy, isn't it? Things change either for good or bad. Since am a hard line campaigner on the acceptable results in Germany, I felt also indebted to let this info out. Although I know a rumoured school already but we need more (Make naija people no crash the school portal with applications, grin)
What will happen is this, let someone volunteer to write a mail to Uni assist in this regard, it would be liberating for many. Wouldn't it?

Her email address is rk-visa21@lago.auswaertiges-amt.de. There isn't any particular format, just be very polite and I would suggest you make the email brief and straight to the point. It might be helpful to inform her that lectures have commenced (if they have) and about any deadline date you might have.

Also, quote your passport number and state in the body of your email the date of your interview and the week you are in now (e.g this is your 4th, 5th or 6th week without any response). I hope this helped.
Cheers.

@kunle just calm down you will be ok and your visa issued to you.

its good to be on nairaland am happy to share in this forum.

I did my interview on the 18th of sept got the mail to bring the 3month travel health insurance, got to the embassy on the 13th of October and was told to contact my school asking them to provide a mail saying that I will be accepted upon my arrival cos my deadline of enrolment was far past.

my advice to every nairalander is to try and get in touch with your school if your date of enrolment has passed, 4dem to issue u another cos the embassy will demand for it if you are called 4 visa

when making your travel insurance please all try to draw your travel date soonest, so u won't be delayed by the embassy.

all the best to all of you expecting the mail from the German embassy, you will surely get it

Hello Eke, I understand your plight currently and I wish I could help. So I went to ask some of the africans living in my dorm to clearify the stuffs as I didn't actually used a sponsorship letter. It doesn't take months to get. First, you have to know that your sponsor must be living legally in Germany and must earn up to a certain amount of money e.g 1500 Euros for some cities but the thing with most sponsors is that their stay is not legal or they don't earn enough to qualify as sponsors. I think the longest time it will take to get this letter is a week or thereabout. I will also advice you to let your sponsor write a letter to the consulate stating that he will be giving you money. If he really wants to help let him go the extra mile of also providing his pay slip to you, all this will be very convincing when you reapply. From the Information I gathered, your sponsor should go to the foreign office in his city, they will give him a form to fill and it should contain his personal information including how much he earns in some sort of a payslip. All other information he needs concerning you, he will contact you as there's a chance for him to go home with this form. I am trying to call terry01, he used a sponsor and he was successful but he's not picking his calls and I don't understand the blah blah blah they speak at the end of the call. I don't think he's active here much. I might see him in school tomorrow hopefully and I will ask him more about it but I mentioned him here, so I hope he see it and also reply you. Don't give up...Good things don't come easy. I know within me that Germany needs people like you and I hope a miracle happens for you to pull through... Alles gute!

in which city your sponsor is living?
every city has its own form

like Ndyoo said he has to go to the foreign office of his city to singn a form and he will need: 25 euro, a proof of income of the last 3 month and his id card or pass

your sponsor can find the "verpflichtungserklärungs" form online
google: verpflichtungserklärung formular *name of the city*

here are some exmample form:
berlin: https://www.berlin.de/formularserver/formular.php?115075
