It depends on the motive for the relationship.

If you want a long-term relationship, the distance wouldn't matter.

If you want a short-term relationship, then try to shorten the distance undecided

I just need to clear my head on this and understand what there is to understand...

I'll appreciate talks from experience... cause i strongly believe few, some or most of us has engaged in this stuff (Distance and Social Media Relationship)... so from experience, study and observation.... How promising can it be?...

Its not so promising o.

I was in a relationship where i met the guy during Service, i asked him if he was in a relationship when he asked me out, the dude denied it and said they had just broken up due to distance.

After i had fallen in love hook, line and sinker, i discovered he was in a very serious relationship with someone back at home in the south west for years now, his family is even aware, we were in Abuja and he never broke up with her.

He was just looking for an Abuja Gf.

You be the judge.

I learned my lesson sharply, if a guy asks me out now and tells me "he just broke up", na run i dey run for my life o .
Come back here.

Stop running..

how long did urs last?...
I was in one for about 6 months (though it wasn't serious). We called each other on daily basis (and at times our discussions got very lewd & lascivious) and that was as good as it ever got. Left to me, one shouldn't keep Social media dates, they never work. Look 4 smbdy close by. You aint a machine...c'mon you're an animal. cheesy

Very promising.
That was how I fell in love for the very first time in 2006 and I have never stopped loving her even though we broke up.
Then another sweetie invited me to 2go and is currently madly in love and wants me to be the father of her children even after I sent my current first lady to meet with her.

What matters most is not where you find true love, but how much you appreciate it.

Re: How Promising Is Distance/social Media Relationship? by Nobody: 12:59pm On Dec 04, 2014
like someone said , it depends on the parties involved but I ll advice you visit each other when you have the opportunities as this helps to further strengthen the relationship.

he didnt cheat because of the distance . he may be cheating even while in the southwest.it is who he is . it depends on the parties involved . whats the assurance he wasnt sleeping with some other girl in the same abuja . you may haev just been his favourite ,thus the reason for the fake commitment.
