shdemidemi: Basics are ; "Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, 2 instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And God permitting, we will do so." - Hebrews 6:1-3 |

shdemidemi: Wrong again, cool down bro, you are getting overheated. The Bible is still a very valid book for use in understanding God, his will and his plan for mankind. But ; 1. Almost all the doctrines that are preached in churches today are not in the bible 2. Verses in the bible that support some of these doctrines were added as fabrications by the religious leaders 3. Agreeably , a lot of the errors in the bible are copyist errors, that is inadvertant mistranslations. 4. There are outright lies introduced into some parts of the bible especially the NT to support erroneous and mythical concepts like the virgin birth. I can't do your study and research for you , may I kindly suggest that you make 2015 a year of questing for truth. |

MostHigh: The last time I met someone as funny as you was last year So because I tell you I serve one God, the creator of the universe it means I deny God in the flesh? I hope I won't have to go through a more ignorant post this year Back to our discussion, why should I keep the law when you yourself cannot keep it? When it the reason we realise we can't meet up to its standard of righteousness and therefore need a saviour? 1 Like |

frosbel: I read you and BabaG, discoursing the Isaiah verse but I wasn't much into that discussion. However, my question on the basis of which you deny the virgin birth is this scripture: New International Version "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" New Living Translation Mary asked the angel, "But how can this happen? I am a virgin." English Standard Version And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?” New American Standard Bible Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I am a virgin?" King James Bible Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? Holman Christian Standard Bible Mary asked the angel, "How can this be, since I have not been intimate with a man?" International Standard Version Mary asked the angel, "How can this happen, since I have not had relations with a man?" NET Bible Mary said to the angel, "How will this be, since I have not had sex.ual relations with a man?" Aramaic Bible in Plain English Maryam said to the Angel, “How will this be, for no man has known me?” GOD'S WORD® Translation Mary asked the angel, "How can this be? I've never had sex.ual inter.course." Jubilee Bible 2000 Then Mary said unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? King James 2000 Bible Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? American King James Version Then said Mary to the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? American Standard Version And Mary said unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? Douay-Rheims Bible And Mary said to the angel: How shall this be done, because I know not man? Darby Bible Translation But Mary said to the angel, How shall this be, since I know not a man? English Revised Version And Mary said unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? Webster's Bible Translation Then said Mary to the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? Weymouth New Testament "How can this be," Mary replied, "seeing that I have no husband?" World English Bible Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, seeing I am a virgin?" Young's Literal Translation And Mary said unto the messenger, 'How shall this be, seeing a husband I do not know?' Luke 1:34 In the Greek, virgin carries two meanings but the context tells which meaning is implied. The context here says, Mary is a virgin in the sense that, he had not tasted Joseph but you said, Joseph is the father of Christ. Or better still, why do you deny the virgin birth in the face of this scripture? 2 Likes |

shdemidemi: shdemidemi , the underlined is the major problem you need to try and overcome. We do not worship doctrines, we worship GOD. We do not worship doctrines about God, we worship God as a person. You are now committing idolatry by worshipping doctrines that are mostly pagan and holding unto them for your dear life even in the light of established truths. Doctrine will not save you Pal, only Christ can and will, for despite your issues, I believe you will be saved. |

Bidam: Abeg shut up joor....Frosbel is still my brother just like you. So, bible tell you to aggressively correct an erring brother? Calm down, it's a new year. Re: Sincere Questions To Frosbel by Goshen360(m): 11:43pm On Jan 02, 2015 |
shdemidemi: Let us who correct an erring brother do so in patience and humility, knowing we also have a Master that is patient with us. I don't agree with frosbel on some or most of his new stuff but let's correct gently. |
Re: Sincere Questions To Frosbel by BabaGnoni: 11:43pm On Jan 02, 2015 |
frosbel:Good? What part in "Quite a few of Jesus' teachings aren't found in the OT - Jesus' fable (i.e. moral story) about Sheol and its dividing gulf/compartment obviously is one of them too" did you find good in/about Mind you, it is Jesus' fable, not mine Parables are fables (i.e. aka moral stories) Playing your futile amateur skeptic/sophomoric game Is there anything to suggest or even give a hint to buttress that looking at a woman with lust, is adultery, in the OT? (i.e. Matthew 5:28) |

False accuser. Goshen360:You still haven't gotten over the way you talk with me abi? Show me where i insulted anyone here. Issues like this aren't treated with kid 'n' gloves approach. Thank God for folks like shdemidemi and vooks who even though we disagree sometimes are not sentimental in their approach to ask questions and hit him with the truth even if it is as hard as nails. No one is going to show pity to him unless he repents of all the utter nonsense he utters on this forum. The bitter truth is he has led many astray including the Op who was on a fact finding mission concerning what he believes. Aramaic Bible And when they repent, show pity upon them with respect, while you hate also the tunic that is defiled by the flesh.Jude 1:23 |
Re: Sincere Questions To Frosbel by Nobody: 11:51pm On Jan 02, 2015 |
BabaGnoni: So you now refer to extra-biblical documents/writings/ideas/notions to form a doctrine of such huge importance and significance ?? You must be boldly ignorant to think you can pull the wool over our eyes with rants designed to appear as logical arguments. Sheol is ONE, nothing like Sheol with TWO parts, if it is not in scripture throw it into the BIN or GARBAGE CAN where it belongs. Besides, what happened to the rule of the thumb where we are advised to test and confirm truths with not less than 2 witnesses, so far you have only shown ONE which funny enough comes from a Parable or FABLE , yet ITK BabaGnoni wants to form a doctrine out of this MYTH ?? Mate you are OYO. |

Re: Sincere Questions To Frosbel by MostHigh: 11:53pm On Jan 02, 2015 |
Goshen360: Faulty premise to think that becsuse you cannot be obedient others share a similar fate. Speak for yaself, salvation is personal judgement is universal. But wetin concern you with judgement seeing there are no more laws to follow in your own paradigm |
Re: Sincere Questions To Frosbel by Goshen360(m): 11:53pm On Jan 02, 2015 |
