All of you crying white elephant project please you must show me the elephant in the project. Or what elephant project is whiter than the Lagos-Badagry Expressway scam that was "attracted" by Fashola since 2008 for 10 Billion Naira and dated to be completed by 2015. This is 2015, the road hasnt even gone half, with Nigerian suffering mindlessly on it and transporters ripping of helpless citizen gladly. When the Fed Govt wanted to take over Fashola cried to high heavens because the source of his godfathers looting bag [CCECC]was threatened. This is 2015. Fashola is going. The road is not finished. And Lagosians are still suffering.
.... but I don't care no more. Cause we ve all seen propaganda in APC work clothes. Fashola is going. And Uncle Jimi is coming. grin

Good question but it would have serve you better if your question could be directed to your state governor. Take Akwa Ibom state as case study. Though not every state can copy them, but i think if the FG is failing us, can't the Gov rise to work? I dont think am having a 6hours daily light these days since Mr Bart Nnaji tendered his resignation letters sometimes ago. Though i quite agree it's the FG work

Way to go!
There is no serious country with even half of our population that doesn't use coal as its primary source of energy.
USA (50%)
UK (50%)
Germany (70%)
South Africa (90%)
In all Coal powered plants account for over 50% of the words electricity. When you consider other so called sources that are available, that is a huge figure.
Coal is cheap, convenient and are more efficient in terms of megawatts produced than all these 100mw gas plants littered around.
A single coal power plant can produce more than the 4500MW we currently generate from several sources.

Those green energy sources produce only marginal amount of electricity, their main source of energy is coal.
In US it is 50% coal, same with UK, Germany is around 70%.
These are the facts on ground.

Will these plants be environment friendly?
Are your millions of generators environment friendly?
You guys are so averse to progress. Countries a thousand times more advanced than us are still using coal and you are here asking about environment.
What kind of pollution can 2 or 3 coal powered plants emit that will be comparable to what millions of generators currently do?
