Tade admired himself in the mirror. He looked dapper in his navy blue suit and handmade leather shoe. Not bad, he observed, winking at his image as he rubbed his small goatee. He picked a Rolex from his collection and drowned his suit in Givenchy perfume. He checked his rolex, 7:30am. He quickly left the dressing room and picked his briefcase. It was a special monday morning and he had a very important meeting with the management staff.

"Good morning sir." Ngozi greeted.

"How are you?"

Tade looked round the dining and living room. No sign of his wife and children. He had shrugged his shoulders when he didn't see her on the bed when he woke up. He had assumed she slept in the kids' room out of annoyance.

"Where is your madam?" He asked, little concerned.

"She has gone out with the twins sir, around seven."

"Gone out?" Tade asked angrily. He hit the table with his fist, sending his omelet flying out of his plate and tumbling the plate. "She went out without telling me? Where did she go?"

Ngozi quickly drew back towards the kitchen out of fear. She wringed her fingers and starred at the floor. The fear of oga is the beginning of wisdom.

Tade stood, sipped his beverage and pushed his chair violently. "Are you deaf? Where did your madam go?"

Ngozi shook like a leaf floating on water. She had seen Tade beat Wande once or twice. Once through the keyhole, the second time, in the living room right before her eyes. Other times, she had just heard noise.

"Oga, she didn't tell me where they were going sir."

"Did she drive?"

"No sir, it was uncle Kevin that---"

He shoved her violently out of his way, a wave of anger rushing through him. He had warned Wande against having anything to do with kevin. After their fight on sunday, tade had not said a word to Wand, even when she apologized to him. He had slept off, leaving her begging. Where did she get the boldness to go out without informing him?

He walked to the car quickly, opening the door before Josh could.

"Good morning." Josh greeted him as he settled down in the car and picked his phone.

"Josh, drive to my mother in law's mansion at onireke" he instructed, without acknowledging his greeting. He dialed Wande's number twice but she didn't pick his calls. He became infuriated and swore obscenities under his breath.

Josh engaged his gear and drove off in silence.

kingphilip, I think the reason why Wande didn't react was because she didn't want to create a scene and because she knew that if she did anything, Tade would have beaten her blue and black. She didn't wanna give him the luxury to bask in the joy of embarrassing and disgracing her family in public.

Irrespective of how cheat you are, believe me you won't Want your wife to be the same, and you can even go a long way to Deal with anybody that try what you are doing with your wife. I think wande got it wrong there thou, we all know the difficulty she's having with husband, and that doesn't solve the problem at all, as 500 worngs will never make a single right, never! !! Tade is still her husband, till tomorrow

Now, she has given that yeye Tade something to hold against her now, even when wande has nothing concrete against him.

Thanks so much Candy for ds wonderful. Story. I Av to reregister because of ds story and l wish dat Tade will lose woefully. I just wish dat d twins are not his n their biological father is Segun.He might be having zero s.perm count while the Doc must Av used Segun's fertile own during d ivf ds might explain d bonds btw Wande n d guy. Thank goodness that Mrs Williams has decided to do something when her daughter decided to turn a blind eye to her husband's atrocities. I just wanna see Tade losing on both ends and I hope the William dynasty will get all their shares and the money in the private account back. Tade must go back to his filthy background in rags. If you check throuqh the life of Wande, its just the love that she has for Tade that is the whole sting here. So far its still "for better for worse", she would never want to see Tade broke no matter what he does.

Chapter 26


"Small madam no dey, and big madam still dey rest." The maiguard informed him through the peep hole at the gate.

Tade shifted on his legs. "Are the twins here?"

"Them no dey here, oga." He slipped the metal cover back in place. Without being told, Tade knew the conversation was over and he wasn't going to be allowed into the compound by this overzealous mai guard.

He walked back to the car. "Let's go to the office, Josh. I have a meeting in 10 minutes. I'll deal with this later."

Josh linked the Aleshinloye road and headed towards ring road, straight to the Williams' Head office.

He drove through the gate, headed straight to the chairman's parking spot near the entrance. He ran into a barricade manned by two security guards he didn't recognize. He rolled down his window and flashed his Id card.

"This is the chairman of the company." Josh said, pointing at Tade who sat like the big boss at the owner's corner.

One of the security guards moved closer to the window, checked the ID and lowered his head to see the person he carried.

"The chairman?" He asked, facing Tade.

Tade's patience wore thin. He opened the door and stood before the new guards. "Who the h*ll are you guys? Who hired you? I hire and fire people here!" He ranted.

"We are sorry sir, but we didn't know there was another chairman...." The security guard tried to explain.

"I have a meeting with management staff of the corporation and they all must be waiting for me now." He banged the door loudly.

Still growling and barking at the security guards, Tade walked into the office complex and headed straight to the conference room. He didn't bother answering greetings as he climbed the stairs to the first floor. He pushed the door to the conference room open and stepped inside. All eyes turned on him. Suddenly, the atmosphere became tense.

No one said a word.

he had interrupted the management meeting. Somebody else had presided! He stood rooted to the spot, brows squeezed in confusion.

Then he spotted her. Wande occupied the chairman's royal chair. She looked gorgeous in her grey suit and wine silk shirt, she tied a brown scarf round the collar. He noticed she left a little cleavage. She was sexy as h*ll.

She flashed him a bright smile.

He was mad.

His heart pumped wildly and he felt sweat drip upon his upper lip. She looked so confident on the chairman's seat...his throat suddenly went dry. He suddenly remembered the weak Wande, the way she used to coil at his touch.

"Hello, Tade," Wande stood up to welcome him. To the management staff, she said, "I believe you all know my husband, he was the acting chairman."

"You are welcome sir" they chorused. A few close to him offered their hands for a handshake. He shook them limply. The word 'acting' chairman rang in his head.

"Please sit," Wande pointed at a vacant chair next to the personnel manager of the Tristar Hotel. With shaky knees, he sat down. All eyes on him.

The meeting continued.

Wande handled it all so beautifully. There was clapping and cheering all through the thirty five minutes he spent there, but he didn't hear a word they said. He was lost in confusion.

All the while he craved an explanation for the drama.

"Excuse me." He whispered to the personnel manager as he stood up, clutching the file that contained the documents he had prepared to use to conduct the meeting earlier.

"Ok, sir." The manager said. He had worked under Tade for over two years.

Nobody noticed his exit. If they did, nobody acknowledged him.

Once outside, he maneuvered through the maze of offices and stairwells until he got to his private wing on the second floor.

"Welcome, sir." His secretary greeted him. He nodded in reply and headed to his office. The secretary looked confused.

He tried the door using his set of keys, it didn't yield.

"Lara, can you try opening this door from your desk, my combination is not working"

"Em...em...about that sir, em...madam changed the combination and forbade me from opening it unless she's around sir." Lara managed to explain. Fear enveloped her as Tade drew closer to her.

"If you do not open this door, I will-----"

"Spare yourself the agony, my dear husband. Come to the office with me." Wande said from the door. Lara heaved a deep sigh of relief.

"What's going on here, Wande?"

"Let's discuss in my office." She moved closer to the door, inserted a key and typed a combination. Phew, the door flew open. Tade walked inside the office, his office, like a zombie. He was surprised to see the office rearranged with feminine touch- roses in a vase, small persian rug in the center, wall adorned with a new flashy painting.

"Have a seat." She pointed at a visitors' sofa as she sat on the chairman's royal seat.

Tade remained standing. "Tell me what's going on here, woman!"

Wande smiled. "You are no longer the chairman of the Williams' dynasty, Tade. I announced it to the management staff this morning, just before you entered."

Tade banged his fist on the table. "You can't fire me, you legally gave me that right. I have all valid documents to that effect and I will sue your ass."

"Oops, sugar...those ain't valid documents, I made them specially for you to test you, which by the way you failed woefully. The original documents are in a safe place. They have a special seal." She paused for effect and continued, "Don't try suing me, unless you want to prove that you did not steal and make copies of my documents." A wicked smile played around her lips, "I'll tell the court I've been too scared to confront you because of your violent nature. I have witnesses, honey."

He raised his fist as if to hit her. She surprised him by holding the fist midair. "Don't dare raise your hands at me again, Tade. Ever!"

He was shocked to the marrow.

"Wande, what came over you between yesterday and today? When did you change the key?"

"Oh, I reached my breaking point before yesterday, Tade. Things changed while you were having your 'important meeting' in PH." She used her index fingers to indicate that important meeting was in quote.

"Wande, are you speaking within your senses? Are you ok?" His throat suddenly became too dry and he feared his words might come out cracked. He went to the fridge and removed a bottle of eva water. He gulped everything and tossed the plastic container in the waste basket. His throat felt better.

"Hun, hun," he cleared his throat.

"Tade dear, you can go home and relax. We'll talk about this at home. Right now, I have a company to run."

"You are my wife and I'm the father of your children----"

"Let's just talk about all that at home, Tade." She said with an air of finality.

Tade let out a weary breath. His knees suddenly became weak. He pulled the chair and sat.

She buzzed Lara and passed a piece of paper through the shredder. Tade sunk deeper in the sofa, too weak to stand on his feet. Different thoughts ran riots in his mind as Lara breezed into the office.

That's the awkward moment, when one will wish, he hadn't appear that day at all, and Hope he should just disapear.

Wande, thou I saw it coming, but (i must confess) I don't see it coming this perfect. You've done a great and commendable job here wande. .. As from now on, I know you must be very careful more than before oo, as I know that, players don't accept defeat so easily

Mallam Tade, I hate using this sentence for people, buy you leave me no choice ; "that suites you well sir"
I know this is the beginning of the end for you, but I don't expect your once naive madam, defeat you not so easy man. .. . You are a man, remember. I will sit down here, watin for your own plan
